  • Always wanted to make a skinny journal? This video teaches you how to make one.
This tutorial is made by Alexandra from Alexandra M with our "Steampunk Trains" kit.
I recommended this tutorial for more experienced crafters.
Of course you can use other papers to make this craft project as well.
And you can use these printables for an infinite amount of other crafts as well, like many of our other tutorials.

What a fantastic journal that does justice to these papers from the kit!! 🤩😍. I love the cover outside and in and especially the clear tag. It is a clean style that suits me too, and I agree with Alexandra on decorating the pages after they've been sewn in. It is beautiful and she gives clear directions.

Beautiful, absolutely stunning. Love your work but this is too overwhelming for me but I have so many kits from Tinne that are just as gorgeous and I find easier to put together. I’m working on the gorgeous folios. Love them. Thank you Tinne for your fabulous creativity. Tinne I’m hoping for your next easy project for us, that you show us how to put together. I simply love your smaller version tutorials. Love your work. Thank you for sharing. 😊❤🤗👍🇨🇦

Alexandra, you are so creative and I love ❤ your work. As this is for advanced creators and out of my skill, I won't be buying the kit. But I have plenty of other kits by Vectoria Designs to create journals from. Tinne, you have created another lovely collection.

Wow, so gorgeous. It was a pleasure to watch the flip through and the tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Question: what weight of paper are you using? I have trouble with the journaling pages being too bulky if I use more than 4-5 pages folded 😅

Amazing. I am going to have a go at it. Just purchased this gorgeous kit!! Question: What are the plastic items you use on the acetate tags to hold the label on?

    • @ClayGuana
      @ClayGuana 5 місяців тому

Hi, and thank you for the sweet comment. The labels are glued and stitched to the acetate tag, the gold foiled accent circles are die cut from foiled paper and glued on top of the labels. I hope this answers your question ❤

I love these papers but VectoriaDesigns paper kits are so expensive. They are gorgeous, and no doubt take a long time to make, but still, I cannot possibly justify the cost to make one or possibly two journals with it. Not when there are so many other kit designers who make similar looking kits for a few pounds.
Yeah you can make your money back if you mass make a whole bunch of journals with the same kit, but who does that? Even the junk journaling channels on here only make one journal with each kit they sell. We are not factories producing an endless supply of paper products to sell. Most of us are ordinary people who are keen on crafting in between "Life".
Or like me, kids have grown up, at home due to illness, (or retirement) aches and pains have stolen most of our physical hobbies and crafting is the only hobby we have left to occupy our time and ward off depression!
And if you ARE anything like me, your eyesight is starting to show it's middle-age and your hands are starting to get awkward with arthritis, threatening your one remaining activity! Grrr.
I'm no data analyst, but I know from just talking to others in the comment sections, across the myriad of crafting channels we all love, that the MAJORITY of us aren't crafting at home to make money, and those who do, are just grateful to make back the cost of their supplies, enabling them to afford to keep crafting.
I just watch for inspiration, such as the lady who made this journal. I'm not familiar with her, but I'm glad I watched because she's a meticulously neat and precise crafter, which I personally appreciate. I'm not a lover of random paper tears or bunched up messy threads myself, although many prefer that style themselves. We're not short of inspiration, free image sites, public domain images, book images, stamped images, crafting papers, die cuts, and far cheaper printables is my point.
Sorry Tinne your kits are all glorious, truly they are, I'm a huge fan. But even if I could afford your kits, I have bills or other expenses that must take priority. If I won a large amount of money then perhaps I'd treat myself, perhaps... But truthfully unlikely, because I couldn't spend that much making myself ONE JOURNAL. I wouldn't spend that much on one journal anyway, even if it was already completed, handmade, professionally printed on luxurious paper, came with a matching gold plated pen, had a thank you pouch of artisan chocolates included, with a handwritten personalised note, and was delivered wrapped in delicate pastel tissue paper and ribbons.... Brought to me by Tom Hardy! 😜
In the meantime I am grateful for the freebies you sometimes offer viewers in between. Thank you. I'm sure this kit will be a great hit regardless for those lucky enough to buy it. I'm not even much of a steampunk fan ordinarily, that classic image of the steampunk man in futuristic glasses freaks me out! And no I have no idea why? But I didn't notice him in here luckily. Most steampunk kits are very masculine I feel. This kit is still very steampunk but somehow more feminine and I love the shades of blue too. This journal was gorgeous.
