This episode set the tone for Sailor Moon. Yes the show is fun and colorful but it’s also capable of going dark. You could potentially argue Nephrite’s death was the catalyst but I think once you start killing off the main cast it hits that much differently. Fun fact Sailor Moon’s voice actress is actually Chibi-Usa the OG was recovering from surgery when they developed the last 5 or 6 episodes of the season.

no, Jupiter killed two aswell. the next death after her was Mercury, and Mercury ended up fighting only three when there were initially five. also, at the end of the huge thunder explosion, you can notice two bodies for a few seconds slowly merging within the explosion. those were two DD Girls.
they all come back to life after serena/usagi killed off beryl and restored everyone's life. however, upon doing so, they're memories were wiped and lived on w/ they're normal lives. until sailor moon R happened and they're memories of being sailor scouts returned.
this was a amazing time.. back in the day.. no cencorship no nothing. talking about death and geting killed even in a "cartoon" show.. mot still dont know nothing about death and love and trust and friendship.. etc.. good times.. i would never miss that ones. they formed to the good thing i am today..

Her powers are Love and Light. Both are intangible but powerful. Light is the fastest thing ever to travel the world. And with too much light, we would get blinded and will be unable to see. Same with love. If you get fooled by too much love, you get blinded and that could be the start of a downfall. Literally, they all have their characteristics. In MANGA though, Venus was able to defeat Queen Beryl using a sword that only Venus could carry. No matter how physically strong Jupiter is, she's unable to carry that sword.
Well, screenwriters are real predictors. This episode predicted the truth about which Sailor Scout original voice actor will die first. Not just out of these five girls, but all of Sailor scouts overall. RIP Emi Shinohara. I wish you will find the Moon Kingdom in Heaven. You won't be forgotten:(

@david21na Sailor Jupiter kills 2, Sailor Mars kills 2 also, Sailor Jupiter is the strongest Guardian Senshi physically and powerfully, because she destroyed a damiohn in Sailor Moon S something only the Outer Senshi, and Sailor Moon had done Sailor Mars didnt do that, Sailor Jupiter also Killed an Enemy in the R season again without needing sailor moon to finish it off, thats 2 times, in the episode she first appeared in she was shown to almost destroy that boy, but sailor moon healed him.
Actually, on review, pretty much my whole description is wrong. She throws a monster across the street, and even then the emblem on her forehead briefly glows, causing Luna to realise she's using her power as a Sailor Sentai. She doesn't punch Zoisite until after she transforms into Sailor Jupiter.

I feel like the further out the planets are, the more powerful they become. Mars through Pluto have awesome attacks. Venus and Mercury… not so much.
