In the US, this song was slowly inching its way up the Hot 100 during the time that America's "Sister Golden Hair", Ace's "How Long" and John Denver's "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" were sailing way up there in the #1 spot. I never quite understood how this gem didn't even crack into the Top 40...It's such a great song and truly deserved a #1 position if not at least a Top 10 standing.
Ya! Me 600 plus vinyl plus 600 plus cd's. Me be music lover but I know there are bigger fans than me. But I know good music when I hear it and this be a very good tune. Thank you Justin. Fsw
I was very sad to hear that the Moody Blues had broken up. Then one night I wandered into a local club and heard this song on the juke box, and rushed to discover the Blue Jays. I was thrilled that at least some of the Moodys had reformed, and then of course, they did reunite. This is by far my favorite group of all time. And this song is one of their best. Strong voices, great instrumentals, songs you can sing, and understand the lyrics, with such meaning.
When I think of a voice that can soothe anxiety and quiet the soul, that would be Justin Hayward who sings from a depth of the 💓 heart never previously reached before.
He has the most soothing, mystical, angelic voice! Brings me back to a place and time of my life that all I have left is memories and this "gentle" man's voice singing and this bands beautiful music! Thank you sweet Moody Blues! Forever in my heart and soul! ❤️❤️
I've felt that way since 1970...and 50yrs later, I feel the same. It's as though he pulled out of my soul, everything I've felt all of my 66yrs. of life. I've seen Justin, with and without, about 50something times. 🎼🎶🎵🎶🎸🎻🎻🎹🎶🎵🎶🥁🎷
Love Justin Hayward always what a master of poetic songs and that angelic voice, I saw him last May on his solo tour there were standing ovations he bought the house down and he is 71
When Graeme Edge, the Moodies drummer, retired in 2018, many of us fans were hoping Justin Hayward and John Lodge would do a Blue Jays tour just playing the whole album. Alas they went on their solo tours. 🥰🙏🏼🎸🇬🇧🇺🇸
I bought this album when it first came out, and replaced it on cd when I had to leave my albums behind. Loved it then, love it now, like all their works. Justin Hayward has one of those voices that is instantly recognisable even if you don't know the song, and the music he sings with and without the rest of the band soars in a way that is totally unique, utterly magical and completely unforgettable.
This is brilliant with fantastic vocals by Justin Hayward. I loved it when it was first released and love it even more now. Knocks almost 40 years off my age when I hear this. Brilliant. Just Brilliant.
Marcia Brown Hi Marcia - I have always been a Moody Blues fan and loved Justin Hayward's vocals on most of their albums. I first heard them when I was at Uni (Nights in White Satin started me off on following their work) and even now when I listen to their albums, I always seem to pick up something new - amazing for 60 year old ears!!!
Marcia Brown This is the magical gift music gives us. It takes hold of the most treasured memories we will ever make in our lifetime. Those of our youth and it grabs hold of them and puts them in the safest place possible.......within the music itself. And we have immediate and easy access to those memories. Just listen to a song. How does one thank those responsible for such a gift.
This is one of my favorite songs…Justin Hayward writes the most beautiful songs the lyrics are gentle he does not assume anything…he has become my favorite artist/singer…
Hi. I am 57. Have been a Moodies fan since I was 17. Have loved this song since I first heard it in the early 70's, but it didnt hit home til I met the love of my life 3 years ago.
the blue jays incarnation of moody blues was a brilliant work, and this song is one of the most beautiful ever recorded in my opinion... the key changes and crescendos, harmonies, instrumentation, and especially the amazing voice of Justin Hayward blend in a richness that is just intoxicating ... love this song . well done on the video !
I’m 17 yrs old and devastated all over again each time I hear this song. 1975 could only hold so much emotion, still I feel it’s sting every time in this remarkable work. Many years and thousands of miles later, it may as well be September, 1975. Funny how that can happen. Peace, y’all
Sang this song to my late mother . my dad had just passed away on july 14th 2002 . she was really spiritually intent with this song love it !🎵🎵 my mom passed away 14 days later on the 29th of July 02 she she went to HEAVEN she was SAVED so was my DAD REST IN HEAVEN Mom and DAD!!!😇😇
I bought this song "I Dreamed Last Night" by J.H. in Fall of 85. I Dreamed for 1whole year until I finally saw her again for the last time in Aarhus 86! Her scent, her kiss, her beauty, her sad wet puppy eyes will always be with me by heart! But the Best thing from the Moody Blues has got to be the best ballad ever made! "NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN"!
The Moody Blues and Justin Hayward get better and better as the years shoot by at warp speed. This came out in Spring '75 as I was finishing my senior year in high school and waiting to report to Marine Boot Camp in San Diego. This song came out about the same time that I met a girl who sat two rows across from me in consumer finance. We met,we fell in love and this october we will celebrate our thirty-second wedding anniversary. This definitely brings me back to that time.....Thanks for Posting
How did I ever forget about the Bluejays? I bought it the day it came out. This was my favorite album to listen to on my Bose 901's and Kenwood amp.I would get lost in this.
Don't worry. The Communist left, that has so many aging hippies now in thrall to it's deceitful Globalist message, WILL be defeated. We will regain control of our own unique Western cultures. (including the unique English Culture that gave us the Moodies)
I woke up at 4am this morning from a dream, crying with tears gushing from my face with this song playing in my head. "Don't be afraid, let it go, set it free." Justin and John thank you from my soul to your's.
Was it really 35 years ago? Was i ever that young? YES, and preserved somewhere it their music I ALWAYS will be....this is no ordinary "band"...if things are just, their music will live forever...
thanx it was like being in another world for awhile.miss her daily dream about her often pray for her twice daily and still sleep under the quilt she made.i was hooked! heroin withdrawl couldnt have been worse. been a blues fan since the 70's keep in touch
I remember thinking the moodies were disbanded for good in 75 and I see a Phil Travers record cover art in the bin and thought this looks like a moodies album. After reading the cover I was thrilled that Justin and John had a solo[ or duo] effort! so I bought the album and the quadrophonic 8track tape! The album holds its own with alot of the Moodies Albums!
The Moodys are my favourite band of all time, but it seems to me that Hayward is the major contributor both in songwriting and vocals, the man remains modest about the part he plays in the Moodies success
Hi Justin from Claudia in Canada. This is such a beautiful angelic song and you've done it again my dear. I have been following you since I first heard your song, Tuesday Afternoon back in the mid 60's and I just want to thank you and the Moody's that you changed my life for the better and I thank you. I have always had a crush on you and will always cherish your voice and your music. Thank you again Justin xoxoxo
Still an absolutely stunning song...from an even more stunning, songwriter. Justin remain up there IMHO with the likes of McCartney, Elton, Dylan, Simon...etc. Wish he would get more props for just how distinctive and unmistakably BEAUTIFUL his emoting is.
You put in your songs and music the words our hearts can say and our ears need to say my memories would not be the same if they couldn't be stirred up you and the band .thanks for the great memories of nearly my entire life God bless you and thank you.kimberley wolff
OK... Now this is one of the MOST romantic song ever... I mean like EVER ! ! ! .. Play this to a girl on your first date..( ok in the 80's ) and if she had like 2 or more braincells.. she could be your wife a month later... Why U ask?? She could see U got good taste in music.. and music makes the world go round.... not money.. !!!
Justin's music, songwriting, guitar playing & voice are very much underrated
This gets even better with age.
Justin Hayward has one of the most beautiful voices..... Period.
Justin Hayward is one of the greatest singers, songwriters and guitarists of all time.
He has a gift, my friend.
Still makes me cry all these years later. A masterpiece of musical style & loveliness.
Beautiful absolutely beautiful.
Justin's voice is just pure magic. Thank you.
My favorite Blue Jays song. No matter how many good singers there are that I like, I will always pick Justin Hayward over them all.
This song got stuck in the back of my head since i heard it more than 40 years ago. Enigmatic voice.
In the US, this song was slowly inching its way up the Hot 100 during the time that America's "Sister Golden Hair", Ace's "How Long" and John Denver's "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" were sailing way up there in the #1 spot. Many people in the general population, have a blunted, emotionally deaf interior, that's why
@@Mykee1997Well said. Or in one word, shallow.
I have over 600 albums of GREAT music from the 60s,70s 80s and i come back to the MOODY BLUES all the time .THEY ARE 1 OF THE BEST BANDS EVER.!!!!!
Ya! Me 600 plus vinyl plus 600 plus cd's. Me be music lover but I know there are bigger fans than me. But I know good music when I hear it and this be a very good tune. Thank you Justin. Fsw
yes!!!!!!
I agree completely!
over 60 years of enjoying music, the Moodies just rise to the top of my desire for tranquility and aural pleasure.
Justin Hayward with the moody blues, the group is just like they were made to sing for the Angels in Heaven, BRAVO! !!!!
I was stunned when this album arrived. Just as relevant today as it was then.
Those are the dreams that wake you up at 3 am and haunt you for the rest of your day ,,if not your life.
This song reminds me of my beloved sister so much. We lost her in 2018 and I swear sometimes I can still hear her voice. I love you, Jeanette!
The beauty and loveliness of Justin's voice is so lovely.... Just beautiful...❤❤❤💙💙💙......
The sound of their voices are so beautiful with the music is enchanting.
I was very sad to hear that the Moody Blues had broken up. Then one night I wandered into a local club and heard this song on the juke box, and rushed to discover the Blue Jays. Got this album in 75 & still bring it out every now & then.
I still cant understand how the Moodies have not made the hall of fame
8 Track
Fortunately Ray Thomas lived just long enough to hear the news. Long overdue.
Howard Stern agrees. Shame on the hall of fame.
This is a masterpiece.
One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded in rock ‘n’ roll history. Justin Hayward is a genius.
Justin Hayward has the best voice in pop history and still performing. My favourite album but have them all.
He has the most soothing, mystical, angelic voice! Brings me back to a place and time of my life that all I have left is memories and this "gentle" man's voice singing and this bands beautiful music! Thank you sweet Moody Blues! Forever in my heart and soul! ❤️❤️
HJ Stokes agree wholeheartedly. Saw him last month, still magical.
He comes from an area of England Swindon in Wiltshire where a lot of crop circles have made their appearence . Mystical music from a mystical area.
One of my favourite albums of all.
So beautiful.

I really needed to hear this song. Especially in light of what is going on in our country. To me it was a timely message.
Yes. Such a peaceful respite here with Justin.
Don't worry. The Communist left, that has so many aging hippies now in thrall to it's deceitful Globalist message, WILL be defeated. We will regain control of our own unique Western cultures. (including the unique English Culture that gave us the Moodies)
Being true to oneself is a feeling,
an experience and a threshold
to step through....

Great song from Justin Hayward, love all the Moody Blues songs, they beat all the songs by a mile for me.
Moody Blues never got their proper due..... songs are so deep and the harmony of the band was second to none.
The Moodys are my favourite band of all time, but it seems to me that Hayward is the major contributor both in songwriting and vocals, the man remains modest about the part he plays in the Moodies success
This song moves me to tears...in a very good way! I have two copies of "Blue Jays" on wax! I still spin one of them just to hear this song. :)
Heavenly! Thank you for sharing with the world!
Timeless; and a perfect voice of renewal of life and light to the soul. Is there any doubt Holy Spirit doesn't inspire even NOW ?
