- Sen. Robert Ortt, the New York State Republican leader described the Gaza War protesters at Columbia University and The City College of New York, as well as those on other US college campuses as "spoiled brats" and "troublemakers," praising the NYPD arrests of 282 protesters and demonstrators.
Video from Tuesday showed protesters barricading entrances to the building, then hanging a Palestinian flag out a window, as part of the Gaza War protests against the Israel-Hamas war taking place on US college campuses nationwide.
The protesters took over Hamilton Hall nearly 12 hours after Monday's 2PM deadline for those demonstrators to leave an encampment of around 120 tents or face suspension.
NYPD officers entered Hamilton Hall on Tuesday night, arresting those protesters barricaded inside the building.
A class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Jewish students alleging Columbia University failed to maintain a safe learning environment.

The problem is that K-12 eliminated the social sciences and civics. Now there is a political movement to remove them from college. This is how I end up with students in my classes who know nothing about history, political process, ethics. They have been taught STEM which is good, but at the expense of the basic knowledge that they need to be good citizens and effective political leaders. It is not the teachers or the professors, it is a system that no longer teaches subjects that are fundamental to democracy.
People who lived and survived 9/11 need to speak out at these campuses since many of these brats have no clue what happened on that day. If you watch the wholevideo, the commentators mention how 9/11 happened not too far from Columbia U and how these students probably don't know what happened because some may not have been born.

A proper protest has decorum. A protest happens on a Saturday from 8am to 5pm. You protest with your placards, you get press coverage and then you leave. You don't get in people's way, and you don't disrupt students studying for final exams, or families trying to attend their child's graduation. These are not protests. assuming you're not a shill, columbia is actively investing in israeli causes, and the students are protesting against it; if Columbia was invested in the current Myannmar regime they'd be protesting that. Of course this is fox news so they don't mention it, only "the evil protesters are back and they're gonna kill your dog" (or something along those lines).
Our constitution provides for the right to peaceable assembly. That means you're free to communicate any ideas you wish, BUT you've got to obtain permit, not to censor you but to ensure that you can't disrupt those who are not a part of your big noise. This is because the constitution does not provide the right to disrupt the lives of others.
Also, the permitting process and law enforcement should be politically neutral. But now the courts, cops, and laws have all been partisanized toward the left. Democratic decision has been replaced by mob action.
Our "leadership class" has leveraged disproportionate power for itself by a true and actual subversion of democracy. Pressure groups, think tanks, and "activists" are nothing more than groups who hack democracy and honest discourse.
If they are so concerned about "Palestinian genocide", then why protest on a comfortable American college campus, 6,000 miles away? Send these defenders of all things they have no clue about over to Israel so they can address Netanyahu directly.

Please address the deal some universities are making with students to give full scholarships to Palestinians, to hire Palestinian professors, and to build Muslim centers on campus. How will they prevent terrorism from growing even more? How will they protect Jewish and Christian students?
