Hey guys, thanks so much watching the video! I hope you learned something helpful, and good luck on your ranked push :)
I've been getting a lot of comments that are like "but what if your teammate REALLY sucks, do you still blame yourself then?!!?!?!" And then answer is yes, you should, although even I struggle with this lol... but if you want a good example of what this might look like, check out the video I posted right after this one, "How to Grow a Healthy Ranked Mindset", and skip to Replays #2 and #3.
The point is, focusing on any aspect of your loss besides yourself, whether that's a teammate or a game mechanic, is distracting from finding ways to improve the only thing you have control over, which is yourself. Getting angry is just wasted effort, trust me.
Love y'all, and hope you have a great day ❤️

For new players this is a really good video, because a lot of content creators just make tierlists and do vids about meta brawlers as you said, but for example Edgar and Bo is insane from Bronze to Mythic, but in tierlist videos they get ranked like c tier. So meta is so much different there than it is in Legendary and Masters. Even decent players can learn things from this video so this is a really good guide.

As a chronic gamer I'd have to say that in any game you play, your mental is the most important thing you can have.
My 2 cents would be that stay positive. As long as you are the star player, working on objective, and playing your best you will climb.
As the Vel'koz king said if you always perform, no matter how much you lose, you will always climb. Your mental will get you to masters.

  • @wiibrawlstrs
    @wiibrawlstrs 29 днів тому +38

As a masters player in power league (less than 500 people hit masters globally per season in power league), this video is highly accurate and actually covers important necessary tips. Drafting, mental, and brawler pool are 20x more important than in game skill and game sense matter 10x more than mechanics. Ranked isn't competitive though so any player that follows this guide should hit masters in ranked.

I wish you could give me some tips to improve in the game, maybe playing some matches with me or something. Even though I was able to hit masters (in ranked), it took me 3 seasons to do it, and I feel like I'll be stuck in legendary this season tbh. Ive always wanted to find someone thats actually good at the game to help me on improving my gameplay.

    • @fireshadowdark5462

I don't folow mental sometimes, but still only got to low Mythic. You really don't get masters unless you got at least some dodging skills and know how to aim manually instead of auto-aiming.
people keep saying Masters is free, but A rank 30 brawler is easier IMO than getting Mythic 3.

Spot on! I find it hilarious that under streams and videos of pro players some of the most common comments are usually complaining about how the youtubers randoms are fairly decent while theirs are always complete trash. But somehow these players don't realize that everyone is a random in someone elses match who is probably thinking the same. If you wanna win games consistently you have to be the deciding factor in your team.

Monkey Bunkey !! Amazing video, I never subbed so fast lol
I love how you went into the philosophical side of gaming. It's crazy to think that just looking at gaming behaviors of people can see so much, and I noticed that I'm a really calm gamer by myself but it definitely doesn't help it when your teammates are negative and attacking you instead of attacking the teammates- and that's kinda disheartening. And I also recently learned that people are using the thumbs up thing to also mock you when you're bad so oh well-
Also I really have to show my brother this video even though he might not understand it- cuz he literally is toxic, always thumbs down, attack teammates, and then rages and always says 'my teammates suck' whenever he loses a game. What I find so hilarious is that he keeps yelling at his phone and telling them to 'uninstall the game if you're so bad'.... And honestly if it weren't for him, I wouldn't believe how insanely boiled people can be when they lose a game. Hopefully this video helps him and everyone else who has trouble with handling their emotions while gaming. Cause remember, gaming is supposed to be fun and relaxing, so why get frustrated by it.

who could have thought that a simple mobile game could have a lot of mentality aspects attached to it, you explained it thoroughly and in a very simple way!
Keep up the great work fam, will with no doubt start using the mentality part irl because holy shit is it actually useful.

Alright listen. This drafting guide is KEY. I am stuck hovering around mythic 2-3. But i know that i am good enough to be at least legendary 2 because sometimes i play with actual legendary players that know how to choose brawlers and when they tell me what to go for we usually win, i'd say 7/10 times, because i am good enough to be there (With the proper brawler). And all you said about drafting and doing bad 1st picks is exactly word to word what happens in my ranked games. Thanks a lot for this video, this is pure gold

Really great video, some of these tips I've done consciously like lane switching but just didn't know the term, I just switched lanes whenever I didn't like who I was going against to make it easier. I also find ranked much easier when I play with my brother since he's right next to me and we can call out shots and who we want to ban for that certain map etc. Very good video👍

Back when Rocket league was huge during corona, I saw a video similar to this giving the essential advice to watch your replays and take accountability for the game play. This was unbelievably over powered. At the time I was struggling in Diamond with all my other friends, but after that I moment I took it a step further applying most of this advice, I played mostly on my own.
Some time passed and I hit GC in duos and champ in solos, which is of course one of the most punishing game modes, I tried to teach them this but they didnt have the patience for watching replays or the capacity/desire to have "the blame yourself and take control mentality" - only two eventually made it two champ.
    Love the video!
