Day 2 in Chicago starts at Sweet Mandy B’s, the cupcakes are super moist, enjoyable, flavorful, and low in sweetness.
I had the chance to meet Nasr Elias Khoneisser who was behind the big success of Nasr restaurants back in time. In 1996 he came to Chicago and launched Libanais restaurant and Bread Bakery and now it has become the biggest Lebanese restaurant in town.
Next, Cedar Palace restaurant owned by Sylvana and her husband, I toured the kitchen where the smell reminded me of my grandma’s house. They have a new invention, Cheese and cinnamon Manouche.
It’s Costco time, I love this place because there is always something new, the ceiling is high, the light is perfect, good prices, and the hotdog is just amazing.
Back at Libanais restaurant, we visited the Baklava factory, had a Lebanese delicious dinner never without the Arak, and toured with Elias, Nasr’s son, Lebanese bread factory.

What an interesting interview. I was actually asking people what had happened to Nasr Raouche. I have eaten there many many times. So nice to hear Mr. Khneissrr’s experience, and what a heartbreak to hear what happened to the owner of a great institution of Lebanese cuisine. I also remember a time when there were other great restaurants in that part of Raoche, like Yildizlar and Of course also the Massis Aleppo cuisine Armenian sandwiches. Thank you Anthony for sharing. You brought back some Great memories. A++++++++++++.

الرب يباركك يا أخ نصر ونشكر الهنا مسيحنا الحي الذي لم ولن يتركك هو مجدك ورافع رأسك. وانشالله نجي ونتبارك ونتعرف عليك يا بطل الرب. لاااااازم نلتقي معك باسم يسوع المسيح الهنا الحي الذي له كل المجد والقوة والقدرة والسلطان.
الحقيقة عاااااار على بلدان العربان التي تحارب الانسان وتحارب الايمان ولا غرابة بذلك لان شياطين وارواح شريرة من مراتب عالية تتحكم في حياة البشر. ولكن العار الأكبر على الكنيسة في اميريكا واوروبا وتخليها عن مسؤوليتها في ردع الشر الموجود في الشرق العربي المتخلف والشرير.

I thought I will watch few minutes of this video and go to bed, but here I am after an hour and 16 minutes later, I had to write something about this video of really amazing people and their inspiring stories. My last visit to Chicago was in year 2000, but after watching this, I will plan a visit with my family to these places.
