    'She's not a vegetarian is she? Because I don't know how much more I can take'
    - best line of the whole episode 🙌🏽

    I love Callie! When she first arrived, I truly didn't like her. She seemed unhappy in herself.. but she became happier and seemed more alive when she met Erica and then Arizona! I'm so happy that the writers wrote her character to be so strong, Cause without Calliope in. I dont think I would watch Grey's Anatomy!

    Great video, but in response to your words - it's not "the life she has chosen". We don't choose who we love. We fall in love with whom we fall in love with. I am also glad her father came around and accepted his daughter and the fact that the person she now loved happened to be a woman.

      Excactly, people don't choose who to love and feel attraction to. Straight people don't choose what gender they are attracted to nor does gay people:)

    I was nervous when I came out to my dad, he was the parent I hadn’t disappointed my whole life the one who accepted how odd I was compared to my siblings and supported that. When I told him I was gay he paused for a bit before he said I love you no matter what and I just want you to be happy, and so long as I don’t have to get the crowbar. Then he hugged me and I felt such relief that he accepted me so easily

    I am so sending this to my parents. The problem is... they don't speak English. I love when in that episode she's fighting in Spanish. And I love how she quotes Jesus and fights back. And the pastor is like... yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh... don't say "hell"...

    Nice video and clips with one exception... You stated that the father was able to make peace with the life his daughter had chosen. Science has proven that gay people do not "choose" to be gay any more than straight people "choose" to be straight.

    I live in Topeka, Kansas. Unfortunately, one of the most homophobic places to live in the United States. There is a group of people that live here that picket not only in town, but across the country against people that have a "same sex relationship ," as well as many other LGBTQ issues. They have even gone so far as picketing Fallen Soldiers' funerals (most of which have nothing to do with their cause) to drive home the belief that The United States is being punished for the acceptance of the LGBTQ community by God himself. I happen to be a woman that is attracted to men, but I believe in equality above all else. Looking at the horrible signs they were holding outside of my high school every day took a toll on me, and I know I wasn't alone.
    I've seen more than my fair share of people twisting The Bible. It was good to see scripture used in the right way by Callie

      You have to wonder how these people came to call themselves "Christians" while they like to dwell constantly on the "thou shalt not" of the Old Testament. Why call themselves Christians when they haven't bothered to learn from Christ's teachings? Jesus showed up demonstrating and teaching love and generosity. And he said, "Let the one who is without sin cast the first stone." (John 8:7).

    Her dad made an effort to be accepting and that is a HUGE plus. It's so much more than most gay people get in real life.

    No your right Christians are not supposed to judge so I don’t! My husband is another matter but one of his best friends is gay or was he died last year and I said no we will still welcome him like family! While the Baptist threw a fit and tongues wagged I didn’t care and then about twenty years later my husband had a aortic dissection and it was really really bad! His gay friend who I loved too was the only one of my husbands friends who could handle it and it was bad when we walked into critical care to see him. He was on life support and shaking uncontrollably in the throws of septic shock which he would survive about three times and the odds of surviving it once are not high! Our friend mustered his strength and went in anyway and my husband recognized and began to cry. By the way this lasted six months and every single day the doctors wanted a DNR and said NO! So they started trying to trick me I had to get a lawyer! I said Jesus will come and he doesn’t need your help to get him there! One day Jesus walked in and healed him and it was miracles all the way and doctors jaws hit the floor a lot along the way but he survived the unsurvivable! But after that day my friend and I saw my husband in septic shock it scared him! It really shook him! I didn’t even get sat down at Chili’s before he said and I quote…Would God accept me into his kingdom? Someone like me? I said I know you believe in Jesus! You got saved and baptized and to me that’s a done deal! However some would say you have to turn from the gay. He was sixty five then and as I know he had not had a relationship in years so why not turn from it? Of course he said it’s who I am so …again I’m not the judge because I would love to see my friend! I loved him! He was family and I know he believed in the cross so I think a lot of people might be surprised! Saying all of that however I do believe gay is the devils or evil spirits work! I will be friends with a gay person because Jesus wouldn’t want us to not love them.

      For assholes like her mom, bi and gay are the same. But her parents were ok with her being with men. The second they knew about Arizona, they started to be mean to their daughter.

  • @91moos
    @91moos  12 років тому +2

    @tinaparkhurst I think in this case Callie chose for Arizona, from what I've seen she's also into men. Not that she seemed very happy with George, but she was definitely (physically) attracted to Mark. I hope this explains my choice of words :)
    And yes I know you're born that way, I actually had a course in behavioral endocrinology and saw some interesting differences in the physiology of the brain.
