The Orb, Aphex Twin, Moby, Sven Vath (and so many more)... rave, house, techno, hardcore becoming jungle, and idm all existing, growing, changing... heady, heady times...
Attended on the Saturday. I'll be taking memories of that night to my grave. The atmosphere was amazing. I'll never forget the disorientation of hearing Belinda Carlisle's vocal breakout before being twisted into something heavenly. Playing from the center of the dancefloor was pure genius because, by 94, the faceless rave djs were becoming "superstar DJs" and the whole vibe was changing, because the crowd started fixating their attention on "the act" rather than the other people dancing (rave changed forever once that started happening). Moving to the centre, brought back some of that (by then) old-school atmosphere, where you felt connected to the people around you - they were the super-stars for a change and orbital were the central part of it. Words can hardly express how good these gigs were.
You can tell this set is from back in the day when the boys used to tour with the big synths - it sounds so much more analogue. Thanks for sharing Paul and Phil!
💯 it's got that analogue midi triggered roughness to it. Always blew my mind how orbital/orb/chems/prodigy got all that gear working every night, especially in those early days
Bye bye '22. Hello '23. So glad Orbital and other musical artists from my yoof are still bangin' out the chhonz. This set must be a mid '90s one from what i have heard so far 😀
That transition from Forever into Sad But True will forever be etched in my memory. Proper old skool gear sounding as raw as hell. This tour was my first Orbital gig and I will never forget it. Tickets booked for Nottingham Rock City in 2023, cannot wait.
I remember the dry ice, the red lasers, the stage in the middle of the dancefloor...I remember being so high, like nothing I'd ever experienced before...
I saw this but at Norwich UEA LCR the next night. Big nasty blue quad stack sound system. Thankyou. Well done YT for knowing what gigs I was nearly at.
That live version of Crash and Carry is insane. For me it was the best period of Orbital combining my fave 2 albums live. Forever/kein trink wasser/attached are masterpieces and Impact is at its best on this tour. Wow
Saw Orbital first at Brighton Event, Midi Circus, 1993, and have seen them many, many times since. My favourite gig was the allnighter at Osaka Zepp in 2002, probably the best dance event I've been to in Japan.
What a happy new year! Snivilisation at it's finest! Great times, great album, greatest live band ever! Been gigging 30 years now and still no one comes close (maybe leftlield live @ Montreux) that's about it. Peace to ya all. 22 becomes 23!
Fucking amazing guys! Thank you so much! Broke into the tent to see you at phoenix festival a year or two later! You were, and are, the real deal. Loved you at womad!
I'm wondering if this is from the Brixton academy set where they totally confused me (and a lot of other folks) by playing in the centre of the floor, in what i thought was the sound/lighting centre! Had to do a 180° spin to see the boys and their setup. Whichever set this ends up being, thanks replaying it Phil & Paul (and Steve). Looking forward to the new album in '23. Big Love as ever!
Damn….I was there, still got the ticket, cost £10 !!! Pressure of Speech supporting. I thought the centre floor gig was when they double billed with The Shamen and had the dance floor at Brixton levelled, unless they did it more than once?
I was there. The raised stage was amazing at the academy. Fantastic gig as akways Hats off to 'Pressure of Speech' that had the whole crowd hypnotised and dancing like puppets with a super-extended mix of 'X-Beats'
Pressure of Speech were just an incredible warm up act weren’t they!! Caught this tour in Sheffield and will always remember arriving at the venue and being transported to a different world altogether 🙌🏻
saw them a bit earlier that year with similar setlist at Triple X festival in Amsterdam in the fenomenal setting of an old gas tank at the Westergas Fabriek.
Great set ! Hope it stays on the channel after it’s over ! I want to replay it tomorrow night ! Orbital 2023 !!! New album , New tour ! Seeing you guys in Belfast & hopefully Emily Eavis asks you guys to play that little festival she runs !! Good luck for 2023
This is great! I wasn't at this actual gig, but I was at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall gig on the same tour with Pressure of Speech supporting. I was only 21 at the time. Cracking gig and happy memories! :
I, born in 1975, from a wild country, but constantly following, since 1996, the progress of the team. An amazing feeling every time after drying, any album! You play music that I understand. Thank you!
Very happy I subscribed earlier this month so I got notified of this and was able to watch listen live. Thanks for something absolutely amazing Orbital 👏 ❤️ 💕
Another Orbital live event that I'll never forget, especially standing at the crowd barrier before the show talking to both Paul & Phil about Prototype 21. Brings a slight tear to the eye. There was a special magical atmosphere that night. Another monumental event from the same year that needs to be uploaded is the Albert Hall gig.
Another thing I remember (partially) was standing next to "the tower" talking to the sound engineer. If my flakey memory serves me right he was a producer engineer for The Shamen (I can't remember exactly his name also involved with Spooky) & the central sound stage idea had been going for a while before this.
I was at this gig and delighted to be back in Brixton after the incredible Megadog all-njghter with Aphex Twin. Unfortunately the whole "in the round" aspect wasn't a great idea. The venue was really set up for you to be on the stage ans taking up a sizeable amount of dancefloor wasn't great and neither was the sound. However, the same idea at the Gasholder in Amsterdam a few months earlier was inspired, another amazing night.
I think I speak on behalf of all of the fans when I say that I hope this live set stays posted here on UA-cam permanently after this event!
I can speak for myself but yes I have to agree and thumbs 👍 up your comment
Yessss please!!!❤❤❤
It will remain on here :)
It's me again lol
@@loopzorbital brilliant visuals thanks 👍
Can you imagine in 1994, you have Prodigy, Chems, Orbital, Leftfield and many DJs all being at their peak.
The Orb, Aphex Twin, Moby, Sven Vath (and so many more)... rave, house, techno, hardcore becoming jungle, and idm all existing, growing, changing... heady, heady times...

Yeah I've always belived DJ's should be heard & Not seen.....
Amen brother 🙏
I was at the Sat night as well. It was a once in a lifetime gig. 🏆
This set is nearly 30 years old , absolutely insane.
It still sounds as fresh as it did then and I'm thankful I'm still here to hear it. Here's to all those Orbital fans that didn't make it.
I’ve loved Orbital for 10 years now but I was only 4 years old they played this set 🤯 been making music as long as I’ve been alive ❤
All my life, I wanted to hear Crash And Carry live. Needs to return to the set.
It's good - but the Brown Album is the best! That's why Impact is always such a big hit!! 😉
My wife and I's first gig together. We'd been dating 8 months. Nearly 29 years later, still seeing the boys when we can (Bristol 2023 next)
Get on Dave enjoy the Bristol show X
You can tell this set is from back in the day when the boys used to tour with the big synths - it sounds so much more analogue. Thanks for sharing Paul and Phil!

Memorables años 90s rave. Forza Orbital

Aaaaah and that screaming Jupiter 6 on Impact!!!
One of the greatest nights of my life
I was there that night! Still got my ticket stub, and if I remember correctly it was an all nighter! 🙌
I remember the dry ice, the red lasers, the stage in the middle of the dancefloor...I remember being so high, like nothing I'd ever experienced before...
Gug
I saw them on this tour in Preston, Lancashire. Simply blew me away!!!!!
Snivilisation live… seldomly hear that. I always put that album on the first day of snow.
Great set.. unexpected rave in my living room tonight 😬
Bloody hell, it's awesome what 10 quid could buy back in the day
This is my life soundtrack from the nineties.
Crash and Carry! What an awesome set, from an amazing year!
This would make a great vinyl album release! hint hint
Looking forward to seeing them in Bristol this year my 1st Orbital gig 😀
Yeahhh🎉
Please do a 30th Anniversary tour for Snivilization!
I saw this but at Norwich UEA LCR the next night. Big nasty blue quad stack sound system. Thankyou. Well done YT for knowing what gigs I was nearly at.
Hey, it was on Mom's birthday ! RIGHTEOUS !
So nostalgic! Thank you!
That live version of Crash and Carry is insane. For me it was the best period of Orbital combining my fave 2 albums live. Forever/kein trink wasser/attached are masterpieces and Impact is at its best on this tour. Wow
I ate fire for em on stage at Tribal Gathering in June or July 1994, love em, their music is just so spot on......
What a gig, still have my ticket! 🙂
This is everything.
Hearing this set is helping promote "Attached" as my favorite ever Orbital song.
Sounds soooo good, also my all time favourite from Orbital x
Sending big hugs 🤗 and thanks from Dublin. All the best for the New Year 🙂👍 ❤️ 🔊
Saw Orbital first at Brighton Event, Midi Circus, 1993, and have seen them many, many times since. My favourite gig was the allnighter at Osaka Zepp in 2002, probably the best dance event I've been to in Japan.
I remember seeing Orbital in 2006 I was blown away!! ❤
WOW!
Halcyon+on+on!
A 20 year old me was there! Thanks boys for making me very happy to hear this again.
This set is in such high quality! 30 year fan, here. This really takes me back! Thank you for this! Much love from Seattle, WA
This was my first Orbital gig. Brings back so many memories. Amazing!
Party on Ceres asteroid belt in 2455. Love heavy beautiful Orbital rave.
What a happy new year! Snivilisation at it's finest! Great times, great album, greatest live band ever! Been gigging 30 years now and still no one comes close (maybe leftlield live @ Montreux) that's about it. Peace to ya all. 22 becomes 23!
I was there... Amazing 🎵🎶🎵🎶😁
I was lucky to be at the Brixton New Years Eve gig (93 I think) this reminds me of it, never forgotten the feeling 🤯👌
Fucking amazing guys! Thank you so much! Broke into the tent to see you at phoenix festival a year or two later! You were, and are, the real deal. Loved you at womad!
GREAT SOUND'S
IT HAS NO DATE'S !!!!!!!!!!
Love it. I was at the Cardiff Uni show a few days earlier which is still one of my all time favourite Orbital gigs.
You were blessed to have been there man x
Thanks for the gig comments ... direct fly to Brixton 94. Cheers from BCN!

Blimey! I was right!
You must be a big fan
Damn….I was there, still got the ticket, cost £10 !!! Pressure of Speech supporting. I thought the centre floor gig was when they double billed with The Shamen and had the dance floor at Brixton levelled, unless they did it more than once?
It is that one. Spent the whole gig wondering where they were until my mate said they were up there!
Yeah... that was it... it was like a boxing ring in the middle...
I was there! Seen these guys 2 or 4 times. Such amazing soundscapes. I always use them to convert electronic music doubters. Usually works lol
Great to hear more tracks from Snivilisation. It’s my fav album from them and Are We Here? is a legendary track. Hope they will reissue that album!
Sad but True for me.
I Wish I Had Duck Feet!
Been trying to find an affordable vinyl copy of Snivilisation for years!
What an enjoyable little trip down memory lane! Thanks for posting this Paul.
Absolutley beautiful.
The perfect intro ....
Saw them in Atlanta in 96 probably the best concert I've ever seen, such a wonderful experience.
Wwwwwhat a finish.
🕉Thank🙏you🕉
I was there. The raised stage was amazing at the academy. Fantastic gig as akways
Hats off to 'Pressure of Speech' that had the whole crowd hypnotised and dancing like puppets with a super-extended mix of 'X-Beats'

I, born in 1975, from a wild country, but constantly following, since 1996, the progress of the team. An amazing feeling every time after drying, any album! You play music that I understand. Thank you!

Fantastic! Listened from start to finish and it was spectacular! Oh, to have actually been there in person!
