Girl! Don't stress the eyes aren't perfectly the same. Danny and Co go out of their way to make sure the dolls AREN'T perfect because of their perfection in imperfection motto. These eyes are pretty awesome! TFS.
Hey guys! Heads up, daylight savings happened, but for some reason it didn't affect when this video came out... But it affected my alarms lol! I'll be live on twitch in just under an hour. Sorry!
I know im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I would love any help you can offer me.
@Cristian Kyler I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you thank you thank you!! I’ve been looking for a tutorial for this forever for smart dolls, and I just saw this pop up in my subscription box and I’m literally overjoyed :)
When you posted photos on Facebook I thought you'd printed them out - I had no idea you'd painted them yourself! I love all the added texture and feel it brings!
Maybe adding and curing a thin-ish layer of UV resin to the back side would be enough protection to keep the paper from being damaged over time? These came out really cute! Thanks for this idea.
They look amazing! Thank you so much for posting this tutorial. I'm SUPER picky about stuff for my dolls and sometimes I just can't seem to find what I want. So, I'm going to try making these so i can make the perfect eyes!
I’ve watched many videos on follow me eyes and you tutorial was one of the best ones I make my own eyes but thought these would be very hard to do I thought they were putting some kind of oil or something in a plastic dome with a metal backing lol 😂 but this looks so easy. Thanks for the best tutorial yet.!!
This looks like so much fun, I've seen them in the stores but I wondered if you can make them yourself and your excellent video inspired me to give it a try. Your SmartDoll is nicer than average imo because you use bigger eyes. Those others have kind of mean looking eyes hahah. This is so cute! ty
I love them! I’m going to try this out for my smart dolls too! I’m going to buy smaller ones for my Genesis though, since here eye holes are much smaller.
@@LavilyDay How did I miss that? Must've spaced out at some point, brain wandering to possibilities with my own craft hoard... but your comment about sealing the paper stuck in my head. Whoops! :P
Thank you! Yes I'm sure regular printer paper would be fine. Just make sure you be careful not to be rough on it with your drawing materials, and try not to get the paper too wet :)
Hi ! You’ve been worried for the durability of those eyes I may say that I got similar ones on Pullip for like 2 or 3 years now and they are as great now that the day I bought them ☺️ they are printed though but I really think it’s not gonna affect them that much 😊
so i just fell down a rabbit hole on searching the term used for identifying the effect you just had on your doll's eyes.. i kept searching but so far hasn't found the name of this effect; do you maybe know it? it drives me insane istg
These eyes are usually referred to as "follow me" eyes in the doll hobby. I think the specific term for how they work is the "parallax effect" though. But I might be wrong 😅
That is exactly I was searching for lately! Thank you. I have a question, I know that smartdoll eyes are 22mm, but cabochons supposed to be 20mm, right? ^_^
I got it secondhand, but it was made by Hello Cool Cat - us.sk-coolcat.com/ (their website seems to be going through maintenance right now). They have an etsy store too, but as far as I can tell, they only stock Blythe things there. Hope this helps!

Great point haha! Thank you for the support, cheers :D

The eyes are truly lovely. Your tutorial is great. Thank you.
THIS LOOKS JUST SOOOOOO COOL ❤❤❤❤ AWESOME JOB. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR WORK
Gorgeous eyes, maybe a stencil for the base oval to give consistancy in size would be a good idea?
That's such a good idea!! I will definitely be doing that from now on. Thank you for the tip!

@Cristian Kyler it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
@Musa Finnley glad I could help :D
I was looking for eyes that I can work on without using resin and Your video gave me an idea! :D I'm happy to see your video and totally worthy!
Now Bee has eyes like honey! She's so sweet looking, I definitely think these eyes suit her best!
kikiokitty oh yeah you’re right!

ty for help - where we can buy eyes ? in amazon ?
YASSS Bee is sooo pretty I love you so much
I personally love they way I draw eyes so now I need to try this 😂 little nervous since my dollfie has her default eyes in still
Hi, I've been thinking of this idea for a long time, can I use the lense of the googly eyes? (For cheaper one)
I'm not sure if anyone has said it yet, too many comments for my short time, but you could use modge podge to seal the back, or something similar.
That's exactly what I did in this video! I used modge podge to seal the back 😜
@@LavilyDay How did I miss that? Must've spaced out at some point, brain wandering to possibilities with my own craft hoard... but your comment about sealing the paper stuck in my head. Whoops! :P
@@LavilyDay Thank for the great video too! Well, all of them I've seen so far are pretty cool and informative. Now I see SD size stuff everywhere....
@@Ravruna no worries at all! Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying my videos 💕
Is this possible for resin eyes for bjd?
Hii! I’m starting out doll customs.... and I was wondering, where can I get the “glass domes” you mention?
i found loads of listings and sizes on ebay, though i'd imagine craft shops would have them if they have jewellery making supplies
@@AuxDroid Thankyou for telling me!
I would want to make my own but with green glow in the dark eyes
Ooh that would be awesome!
Where did you get the eyes that you removed? ( I’m sure you’ve mentioned it, I just missed it earlier and thought they were beautiful! )
These are awesome! Is drawing on regular printer paper ok for all this?
Thank you! Yes I'm sure regular printer paper would be fine. Just make sure you be careful not to be rough on it with your drawing materials, and try not to get the paper too wet :)
@@LavilyDay thank you so much!
Your a very good Artis
I have a question... what kind of adhesive are you using to stick the eye pattern to the cabochon?
hi, I know this comment is a little old but the voiceover says its glossy mod podge
I'mma try it for my EID Arvid . That'll save me repositioning his blasted eyes for every photo o.o. I think that just cause I'm lazy
I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT WAS HER EYES!
Ps on twitch you know me as
lunar _selbr_moon
I'm blown away by how good they look! Well done!

It's Cab-o-sean-s, hope that's helpful enough

Can you turn this into a challenge? It would be so awesome!
What do you mean exactly? Sounds like fun!
