I really like how the Eightpoint is a improvement of the Chaos Wastes concept. You still have a "neutral" meeting ground of all the different chaos forces in a corrupted hellscape, but also the infrastructure to support the hordes of chaos. I also like that it looks like Chaos Duardin have established bases there. Scourge of Fate mentions Chaos Duardin selling weapons to the different chaos hosts, there are the warcry warbands and the Wrath of the Everchosen book mentions the forge complexes of "Angazkul-Grend", build by a race of slave driver duardin.

So in short, the book is about Primaris Skellingtons are trespassing Archaon's mancave.

If the realm'stone' of the Eightpoints is molten blood, reflecting what's happened in relatively recent history, it can't always have been of that form. Does the book say what it used to be? I quite like the idea of it being just water. Water is so intrinsic to life, development, trade and culture... And you could see it being corrupted into a molten blood like substance.
I flippin love the whole throne thing. He will sit on that throne eventually and bring about the reboot of the game... Age of Archaon!

A very extremely awesome video as always Doug. And I love the eightpoints realm, not only with Mordor, there is a another realm in Middle Earth's history, there is a another land there just as wasteland as Mordor called Angband Sauron's stronghold master named Melkor.

Seriously though, going into WotE, between the title, and the cover, the heavy focus on new chaos rules, the near total lack of death rules, and the narrative need to maintain Archaon as the primary setting antagonist, I was sure that we would see a decisive chaos victory by the end.
Instead we have the opposite, with the ossiarchs being the first force to take territory back from chaos in the 8 points and successfully hold it from counter attack led by the everchosen himself. In terms of lore results, WotE is if anything a one sided loss for chaos, and as a Death player I'm excited to see the undead's string of victories that started with malign portents continues unabated.
AoS 2e remains the Age of Nagash.
@@Malisteen As it should be, death player or not. I like that Nagash is getting his time to shine as the current biggest baddy. I hope that continues for a while longer, and I'd loooove to see Archaon in REAL trouble. Imagine Katakros actually dislodging Chaos from the Eightpoints (at least for a time)
Hey, for your next lore video, why not one on the Legion of Azgorh? I love their models, but have no idea where to start with them lorewise.

sometimes i cant shake the feeling thas Archaeon wears Abaddon to improve his plot armour.....
and the easiest way to make chaos good is OP skills and rules see Storm of Chaos vs End Times.

Donatos Aphael At least Archaon gets things done. I mean, he destroyed the old world for starters. Abaddon can’t even take vigilous and even destroying Cadia took him 13 tries lol.

Great video but there are parts where the music seems louder than your voice and I find it really hard to follow occasionally as a result.
I don't listen to audiobooks, but if you got poached by GW to narrate theirs then I'd be listening to them forever.
As an avid Warcry fan, I'm looking forward to lore-information about how people/warbands/factions get INTO the Eightpoints. Sure, the small contingents of Stormcast ride the lightning, but how do the Sylvaneth get to the Eightpoints? GW has just made this massive release of rules for almost all factions, but what is the story behind them showing up in the Eightpoints? (Or, another possibility, will Warcry turn into a 'proper' AoS skrimish game, leaving its narrative connection to the Eightpoints and the Bloodwind Spoil?)
