First let me thank you for acknowledging the servicemen who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedoms we do 🙏 Next let me give David his due for that great hat and patriotic shirt. That food you guys ordered today looked good and came in good portions. Loved Carly's baked potato with all the butter and cheese 🧀. Cindy you pulled pork sandwich wasn't lacking meat, but I'm like you I would rather be able to put my own sauces on. That hot sauce looked smoking. Fries looked seasoned nicely, my favorite fast food fries would be Popeyes Cajun fries. David's platter was eye catching, I think his ocrae stood out and baked beans mouth watering. I liked the sauce on the ribs. I'm also proud of you guys affirming your love for God and country 🇺🇸 Have a great week and God bless you

Carly's baked potato looked amazing. I didn't actually try any. Often we try each others food.
The sauces were so good here. But I will say that hot sauce was so amazing and not overly hot for people who can't take it. David's platter was definitely eye catching. He loved his sides and we couldn't get over the portion size of the okra.
I will always claim my Savior. He died on the cross for me, so I could never deny Him. I'm also proud to be an American. The country needs prayer, I would not want to live anywhere else. God Bless America.

We actually did eat at that location after visiting Dollywood.
The decor seems the same as I remember.
I bought a tee and original sauce.
I did not read the pink meat sign and we were there before I went to the roadside Bar B Que and dumped my half chicken into the trash! I went to Popeyes!
I did tell you about that story.
David was reading the pink meat sign and I really cracked up 😂.
I made a pork tenderloin and I either add root beer or Dr. Pepper to the roast plus spices, after pulled I sauce it up.

I remember you telling me the pink meat story, but I didn't remember it was at Corky's. lol
Dr. Pepper sounds good on a roast. I made chicken with Dr. Pepper zero, cherry cola seasoning, and GH sweet and spicy bbq sauce. It wasn't bad plus it was healthy.
We think it's so important to remember our service men and women who did not make it back home. So thankful for them. So sad that one is still MIA.

On Monday morning the parkway was backed up with people leaving. After that it hasn't been to bad. It's a good amount of people but not crazy crowded.

Corky’s is one of my favorite restaurants but I’ve only ever been to the one in Memphis. I can eat an entire rack of ribs myself. Thanks for the review.

and absolutely about Memorial day!! I think so many people have turned it into a day off just to party and forget what it’s truly about !!
The fried okra was very good here. Could not get over that huge serving size. Sadly, so many don’t realize the importance of Memorial Day. When I taught 3rd grade I would always teach about Memorial Day and it’s importance. The kids were always very responsive. So many of them were not familiar with it. We discussed ways they could show respect and also show their patriotism. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Today we actually went to Knoxville and saw Dolly Parton and some of her family film for a tv show that will be coming out in November for her new album. It was awesome!
This afternoon we walked over to the Island and listened to some bluegrass. The Island is a neat place to visit. Love the fountains there too.

We haven’t been there to eat yet, but I really want to try that quesadilla that you showed. Thank you for your restaurant reviews. I always enjoy watching them. Once I’m cleared to travel after my transplant, I plan on spending a week up in Pigeon Forge.

Now the fries looked really good and you said they tasted like Rally's now I have gotten the Checkers/Rally's fries at the grocery store numerous times and when I cooked them in the air fryer they were tasty, I like brisket however I would have had it without the sauce and the fat would have been my pet peeve as I cannot stand a steak or brisket with fat especially loads of it! Thank you funseekers for sharing as always, y'all rock!
We get the Rally's fries from the grocery store too. I normally bake them but the air fryer always does good on fries. David and Carly like fat but not that much. lol I like a lean cut of meat. Appreciate you Bradley!

I haven't been to Corky's yet. But I've had the microwave dinner for BBQ pork that I got from Walmart. That was very good.

The brisket tray was way overpriced. Cindy, your plate looked great! A wonderful portion of food. I could tell by your faces that the food just wasn't up to par with other restaurants in the area. I'm so glad Carly enjoyed her meal! Have a blessed rest of your week!❤😊
The brisket tray was definitely pricier than my meal. I've seen the same prices at other places. That's one reason I like going to the old school restaurants because I feel the prices are more reasonable. Appreciate your continued support. More Smoky Mountain videos to come.

I'd have to go with the onion rings and a half-rack of ribs. Probably dry as I've never had them that way before. I like some fat with my steak. But, these days it seems they trim off too much fat at times! And, then there's David's brisket...! This was a fun video! BTW, the RCA dog's name was "Nipper". This was an interesting video. Especially with the number of sauces for Cindy to try. Great video from what I pray has been a great trip! Loved your tribute to our military and our country at the end. I was raised believing in God, Family, and Country. Not only is that ridiculed in many public schools, but there are now some churches failing to emphasize their importance. SMH. My parents are interred in Arlington National Cemetery because of my father's service in WWII. His first trip to France began at a beach with a name the French have since adopted as their own. As many times as I’ve visited PF, did not know there was a Corky’s there. Guess I’ve just failed to notice it while traveling through the town. I’m familiar with their food through QVC. Food looked good except for that big glob of fat that was on your brisket. That would have turned me off right there. Can’t stand having fat on my meats. Got to say Carly’s baked potato was humongous. All in all, everything looked good. Thanks for sharing.
Corky's has been here for as long as I can remember. I've watched it on QVC for years too. Nobody wants a big glob of fat like that. Carly really enjoyed that huge baked potato. Good experience!
You guys should try Debbie's Drive Inn over in Newport, TN.....its not far at all from the hillbilly bbq that you guys tried there in newport a few months back! Its a walk up to the window and order type place.

They do a huge Christmas parade in West Chester pa every year and QVC is one of the big sponsors of that parade

Plus we don't have any corkys in pa but there's a grocery store chain in pa called giant food stores and they get some of corkys stuff and sell it in the store the carry there ribs and pulled pork and some other stuff to
I'm familiar with Giant. I know Walmart carries some of their products too. Do they have a QVC store in the area? I know they have one in the Mall of America.

I've always wanted to go and see a live taping. I used to watch QVC all the time. I don't watch it much anymore because I don't have satellite. Just use internet to watch different things.

I noticed on your receipt that Carly ordered a kids meal. Kids meals are usually reserved for kids 12 and under. Am I mistaken on her age or should she be moving up to and adult menu?
Carly is 13. She is not a big eater and often likes to order off of the kids menu. She's a snacker and will eat small things throughout the day. Most restaurants allow this and some will charge extra due to being over 12. Which is perfectly understandable. Thanks for watching.

Carly prefers the kids menu most of the time. It just depends on where we are as to what she wants. Most places are okay with that. Some may charge more because she is over 12. Carly's kids meal here with her baked potato upgrade was actually about the same price as my meal.
