He wanted to become a good man. But his father and vicious human tongues made him a monster. I love him. His life teaches us that we should use our tongue properly otherwise we will be the victim of our own words. We should respect every human being irrespective of their birth.
This song is so perfect for Jin Guangyao! Great video! I think he's one of my favorite villains of all time. He's quite complex and I can't help but feel sorry for him, which I think shows what a great character he is. It really got me at the end of the show when you see his mom fixing his hat when he was little. I thought that was a stroke of genius. It showed that even this villain who caused people so much pain was once an innocent little boy and that he didn't turn out the way he did for no reason. He got the shit end of the stick in life and had a major asshole for a dad. Not that it excuses all his messed up deeds, though.

That's a cruel thing for you to say. JGY suffered so much in life, and you are gloating he was slapped, such pettiness. Before you say he is a villain remember WWX literally killed three thousand people. JGY was nowhere near breaking that record.

However, there is one thing you can say about Wei Wuxian: he always tried to repay those who were kind to him despite his conflicting loyalties. He never gave his loyalty to an asshole who didn't deserve it, he never sold out his friends and brothers, and he sure as hell never deceived the man who loved him in such a cruel manner. Lan Xichen loved and supported Jin Guangyao and always believed him no matter what. In return, JGY took advantage of his kindness, murdered and mutilated their mutual friend, and took him hostage. After everything JGY put him through, it's no wonder that Lan Xichen finally snapped.
