The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph
𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 #1
God sets a father in honor over his children;
a mother’s authority he confirms over her sons.
Whoever honors his father atones for sins,
and preserves himself from them.
When he prays, he is heard;
he stores up riches who reveres his mother.
Whoever honors his father is gladdened by children,
and, when he prays, is heard.
Whoever reveres his father will live a long life;
he who obeys his father brings comfort to his mother.
My son, take care of your father when he is old;
grieve him not as long as he lives.
Even if his mind fail, be considerate of him;
revile him not all the days of his life;
kindness to a father will not be forgotten,
firmly planted against the debt of your sins
-a house raised in justice to you.
𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 #2
Brothers and sisters:
Put on, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved,
heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
bearing with one another and forgiving one another,
if one has a grievance against another;
as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.
And over all these put on love,
that is, the bond of perfection.
And let the peace of Christ control your hearts,
the peace into which you were also called in one body.
And be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,
as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another,
singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs
with gratitude in your hearts to God.
And whatever you do, in word or in deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
𝑮𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒍 (𝑳𝒌 2:22, 39-40)
When the days were completed for their purification
according to the law of Moses,
they took him up to Jerusalem
to present him to the Lord.
When they had fulfilled all the prescriptions
of the law of the Lord,
they returned to Galilee,
to their own town of Nazareth.
The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom;
and the favor of God was upon him.

Thank you
We are blessed to be able to bring you the Mass. Thank you for watching.
Thank you Father Bernie, for the message about our mission, and how it may not be recognized by society in terms of wealth or fame.
I am glad that Father Bernie didn't pretend that family life is all support and roses. Too many persons have grown up with parents who are negligent or abusive, most likely because that is the family life they experienced growing up. How does one honor a parent who treats his/her child so horrendously that said parent(s) is/are sent to prison? If you were so fortunate as to have loving parents who taught you to live the Gospel in your heart, soul, and mind, please help any adults or children whom you know who have not learned these glorious lessons by your example.
Amen
Amén 🙏

30. Jesus said, “I am the servant of God. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet.
31. And has made me blessed wherever I may be; and has enjoined on me prayer and charity, so long as I live.
32. And kind to my mother, and He did not make me a disobedient rebel.
33. So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive.”
34. That is Jesus son of Mary-the Word of truth about which they doubt.
35. It is not for God to have a child-glory be to Him. To have anything done, He says to it, “Be,” and it becomes.

FOR MILITARY UPDATE......!!!!!
The church itself is lovely. Unfortunately, the homily left me and my family wanting. It was like a box of faux potato flakes. The women, ugh! It was masses like this that made me and my orthodox family leave the church. It was masses and priests like Father James Altman, Father Chris Alar, and Bishop Strickland that brought us back into the church. Of course, like other trashy urban cities Denver has become a crowded secular mess. So sad on this feast of the Holy Family, this "flat" homily was mostly meaningless.
Amen.
