- Thank you for clicking my video. I have been a royal watcher for over 4 years. Increasing I find my self watching with great interest the life and work of her sons, particularly William and his choice of girl friend. And a quick search of Kate Middleton you tube will show there are 2 defined camps. Ones who like Kate and ones who dont. I will make it clear right now that do not have a great deal of confidence in Kate ability to handle royal life and duties Which is the question that all royal watchers should be asking them selves. Rather than compear her to diana as hello Magazine and the daily mail have done is very poor taste on many occassions

The press has built Kates character up to such a ridiculous level to goodness that they cover up the more obvious facts that work against Kate in becoming a royal bride. I do not mean to say kate is a bad person after all she as done nothing wrong but I simply think she is not right for the postion of princess.
Her degree in Art did give her an opportunity to work for the Queen as part of a team which look after the Queens art collection. Thats where she should be if she ever had the desire to work, which she didn't have.
Whats with the loud music playing over the interviews......how blinkin irritating!
Her and her family are really using the opportunity ....its the easy life for her after what happened to diana she cannot be seen on the spotlight too much to steal the show from royal family so she doesnt mind too ...
BTW, for those of you assuming that there was no trouble in paradise...google "Isabel Calthorp". William chased the billionaress for years. Tabloids in the UK caught them kissing & partying, while he was still w/ Kate. After years of going back & forth b/t Isabel/Kate, Isabel apparently turned him down opting to pursue a career in entertainment instead of 'royal do-nothinger'. She was the only ex b/t the couple not invited to the wedding. Apparently Kate is not a fan. Friends of the couple
The thing is, people have been "giving Kate a go" for around 5 years now. Since she became Will's serious girlfriend and started showing up at Royal events and tabloids, people have been "giving her a go" waiting for her to prove she has what it takes to be the future Queen. Instead she is 30 years old and has never had a job - a REAL job - in her life.
HATERS!!!!!!!!!! Leave Beautiful Kate ALONE!!!!! She is beautiful inside and out. William obviously loves her very much. You only have to look at pics of the two and see the love they share in each others eyes. She is the EPITOME of what a PRINCESS should be!
The "see-through" dress Kate was wearing was part of a fashion show, put on at the school, where both she and William attended. She did not pick out the dress, she just wore it on the runway. She wasn't showing off any more than any of the other models, hardly "tacky", unless you think all fashion shows are tacky.

I don't think this man should be talking, because he obviously does not know what true love is. You can just see the way Prince William looks at her and they way she gazes back that they are in love. They are a comfortable couple, and I think it's not about whether she would fit for queen or not, but that they are happily in love. Everybody, please just accept who she is and not criticize.
Actually, the number of engagements she is scheduled to be doing this spring/summer is far more than ever before. (Now it seems William is the one not doing as much). And, I'd like to point out that most of the royal women did more work AFTER pregnancy.
If you look back, Prince Philip, was forced to step down; & he was on the fast track for Admiral. Edward, Sarah and Sophie all had careers; even their own companies, and what were the papers filled w/; using Royal status to get ahead, they weren't allowed to keep their jobs and positions. Jobs were created for staff; and lost because the Queen said stop, why start what you won't be allowed to finish; her job is to support the crown and her husband, she does both very, very well.

The Lineage the Queen follows was actually brought to power by Parliament. Through William of Orange, the succession then went to the House of Hannover which Queen Elizabeth I is directly descended from.

She's absolutely unfit for all this media recognition and free everything. Since I am morally opposed to monarchy, there is no issue for me about whether someone is fit to be a "princess." Privilege by birth or marriage is archaic and medieval. Who says I'm not doing a lot of charity work to help the poor? Some of us can multi-task. Part of my goal of changing the world is discrediting and ending monarchy worldwide.
Most girls would want to look nice for their boyfriend. Wearing a red coat and dressing for her friend's fashion show at college doesn't mean she's inviting the celeb press to make comments about her.
How come everybody is being nasty to her because she's a woman? How would they like it if their partner used them and then didn't treat them with respect? I hope William treats her with respect.
She quit her job to pursue photography with lessons from Mario Testino. I love Kate, I wish her and William a happy marriage.

Laurel, that is your opinion, but as long as a monachy egsists Kate Middleton will go down in history, simple as, i agree completley with you, anyone also can make their place in history and i also agree, i would prefare to make it out of my talent and off my own back, but she was given the chance at that life and took it, and she loves william, look at how she is with him. just live and let live, but i appreciate your view and you make valid views :)

I don't know her so I can't judge her, but I have wondered had William been a ordinary man not a prince, would she have waited that long for him to return to her and propose marriage?I have also wondered why go to school and then just work for your parents that does not require a college degree but again I don't know her so I can't say for sure.
I think this is all hear say. The Middleton's seem like a grounded, respectable family who have done well, kate also, she has a class and integrity which is clear and I do not think she would be involved with William other than for love. They seem genuine. I dnt think you would put yourself into a crazy public world like that just for status

Well who is laughing now? I don't know many women who would have waited as long as she, nor been as patient in letter her man finish his schooling and military training. Most would have wanted to move on with their lives, settle with a nice guy with a good job, house, and make babies. There was a short interview with the woman who designed that see-through outfit Kate "modeled". According to the designer it was supposed to be worn as a skirt and it was KATE who decided to wear it as a dress. All the while knowing her "flat mate" William had paid for a front row seat.
she was the biggest gold digger. She had to wear a skimpy outfit down a catwalk to get William to notice her. Then he left her for other women, lol. The press called her waitie katie because they knew she was a gold digger and would do anything for the crown. I don't think William is in love with her either. It's a marriage of convenience for him and the royal family. And obviously, for her it's about the wealth and connections.

People seem to have mixed feels about her ...some say she is a calculating social climber and others think otherwise. Given her story on who she met William and their relationship, I could see how some people might think she is manipulative. I really don't know she looks like a pretty decent person ! I really don't think Will would have married her if he didn't love her. Anyway time will tell what her true intentions were !!

There is nothing wrong with working for your parents. Many people do it and sometimes it's long, hard work. However, Kate does little to nothing at her parent's company. It's her parents way of hiding the fact that Kate doesn't do anything other than keep herself fit - and wait for William to take her somewhere.
Even the owners of Jigsaw said she didn't do anything while she was there. The job was only to silence her critics (including HM) about what she was doing with her life.

tbh i never liked her before cuz of all the rumors surrounding her but then i watched her interview with prince william yesterday and was shocked to find her so shy and nervous..the media always tried to make her into this evil plotting, too strong, and too cruel person but i was shocked yesterday at how nervous and fragile she seemed and she kept looking at will for help in answering the questions, and her voice would crack few times esp at the end..i really felt sorry for her

Diana was no saint but she was a good woman who I think sincerely cared about people. I can see through facades, and I never saw that in Diana. Kate is just nervous at times. that's why she might seem a little insincere but I can tell she loves being married to Will and She loves Will.

The Queen requires that all royals wear bright colors in order to stand out in a crowd. The fact that she wasn't a royal, it was very disrespectful for her to donn a red coat on such a public occassion. Especially since most of the ppl in the crowd are wearing black. A color that royals are not allowed to wear unless they are attending a funeral. She also took the route
I don't understand why we're referring to Catherine as a role model or fashion icon. She married a prince, she hasn't done anything to end poverty or world hunger or make the world she's living in a better place, even though she's had every opportunity 9 yrs. to bring awareness to these social issues. Is that all she has to contribute to the world is her grandmotherly, plain, safe, and boring fashion sense? Almost 30 yrs old, can she not contribute one ounce of intellect or humanitarianism?

This woman in 9 years of dating the heir to the English throne, did no charity work, went on average about 10 vacations a year to exotic locales, w/ royal bodyguards @tax payer's expense, (before she was a member of the royal family). And yes, she did work for clothing chain Jigsaw 3-4 days/wk, while living in a luxurious $2 million apt. bought for her by her parents...then shopped the rest of the week.
I think no matter who married him or marries him, people will always find ways that she is bad or whoever marries him is bad. Isn't that the same thing that happened to his mother. The video is accurate. Forget about it being cruel, etc. But we all should remember that she's been "groomed" for the role, just like HRH, Princess Diana was for Charles. Ironically, she resembles Camilla Parker-Bowles in many ways, but lets not go there for now.

I don't think that this marriage will last, or if it lasts, its going to be tested over and over again and there is going to have to be some real strong love between William and Kate for this to last. Royal protocol is so stringent that Kate may not be able to adapt, or if she adapts, she may be miserable. Remember, despite that fact that she is rich, her parents are basically working class folks. Unlike royals and nobles. With them the protocol is second nature.
I shared your opinion until I saw how (comendibly) she acted during the time Prince William broke up with her. I may be taking the unpopular view here, but I argue that rather than being lazy and unambitious, she's been thrown into a unique situation (when was the last time you dated the prince of England?) and is acting in the only way she knows how to manage with the pressure she's faced with (thousands of people like you). I wouldn't be so judgemental if I were you.
