- First rocket of the season! its good to be back!
Nothing special here, just a motor test, and working on a new timing system.
I have a guilty secret here, the 3" Purple Chrysanthemum shell was not mine, it was a dud from the last professional display we fired, so i thought id have a tinker with it, to see if i could get it to go, and it did!

its gets to be a bit of squeeze with this amount of stuff on one motor at a time, but thats the challenge i like!
the main concern for me is the positioning of the salutes, so they dont dececrate the more 'fragile' shells! but havent run into any bother yet! 10% skill 90% luck! haha

It was lower than the rest of the effects, but it was still a good 50 meters in the air, it was probably just down to my shoddy camera work! but i'll go a bit easier on the visco on the bottom shot next time! im out of the loop! :P

cheers mate, sorry i dont know if i made that clear, the total header weight on this rocket was about 296g, and the motor weighed 125g, and the stick about 30g. So a grand total was around 450g? one of my heavier ones! :P

All the effects here, weighed just shy of 300g, i think it was like 296g? i reckon i could get maybe if im pushing these motors another 100g on top of that? Thats what this test was trying to establish, both how much i could lift and how much the aerodynamics of such a 'busy' motor affected the flight and altitude.....didnt look like it was struggling too much?!
