Don’t pass on Ski Mask too soon, his flows are very diverse and unorthodox at times, try some lyric videos they help with keeping up with him. He says his inspirations are Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot mostly. You should check out “Catch Me Outside”, “Unbothered”, and “Faucet Failure”

The crazy thing is, this song was supposed to be featuring XXXtentacion. X was one of Ski's closest friends but X passed before they could work on the song together, so ski had Juice (one of his other close friends) substitute for X. I think Juice did the yelling rap on his verse because he knew that the yelling rap was kind of X's thing.
I'm glad you guys finally checked out a Ski song but not surprised it happened because him and Juice were good friends. I think Ski is really underappreciated and deserves to be bigger than he is because he has such a unique flow that nobody else really has and can switch up his cadence to multiple different ones depending on the beat or how he's feeling. He's a guy who just loves having fun and being goofy and his music really shows that.
The reason you may have struggled to understand him moreso than usual was because, like you said, his diction but also because his music is filled to the brim with constant referential bars using cartoons and video games which make it hard to follow along with what exactly he was saying in those less enunciated styles. For example at 2:27, Casey's eyes start squinting when Ski drops the bar "Icky Vicky spit, how I got slimes on deck." Icky Vicky is a cartoon reference from The Fairly OddParents and you'll find at least half a dozen of these per video. A couple examples of the references in this song are:
"Drake and Josh how we team your bitch" - Drake & Josh, Nickelodeon
"Diamonds water, bending like the n* Aang" - Avatar the Last Airbender, Nickelodeon
"When I'm acting like a monster like Stitch" - Lilo & Stitch, Disney Channel

I hope you guys can react to one of my favs by him. It's called 'Sometimes'... it's his more melodic and introspective song about being famous/rich and enthralled in a life of drugs and just wanting to go back to a simpler time. Addiction is a hell of a monster and he paints that with his more introspective music rather than this hype side of him. He's very versatile. Keep up the amazing reactions!!!!!!

Ski Mask is really original. he has really unorthodox flows and the beats he uses are always so different but banging

Ski is known for having some of the best flows in the rap game especially among the new generation, his music is mostly just for having fun and he loves to make references to things like shows, cartoons, books, etc.

A couple unreleased Juice songs that I recommend you listen to are Attachments, Iron On Me, Underworld, Spanglish, Sorry Mom, Coraline, Game, Myself, Drown, etc. All of the listed above I love and they use different genres of rap.

Ski mask is one of the best out right now, his Sin City mixtape is recent and only like 17 minutes long, and almost every track is straight fire. Definitely recommend checking out more Ski

Y'all should check out more of ski, check out his song "Catch Me Outside" it uses the same beat of "She's a b***h" by Missy Elliot, she even said she loves him, in a tweet of hers. Ski's music is influenced a lot by the likes of Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes. During the SoundCloud era almost everyone was doing melodic, emo rap and "mumble rap" but ski was different and came with the fast, playful sound. He also references a lot of cartoons in his music, and y'all probably won't catch some of the punchlines cause u probably never saw them 😭 but really loved this reaction ❤️

Ski Mask was a very good friend of XXXTentacion, another great artist of this generation, who was killed at 20 y/o back in 2018. After his friend’s death he grew really really close to Juice as well, only to eventually see him die really young too. He’s got a really unique style, and a couple pf really good songs out there.

A really good Ski and juice song is Evil Twins. They used to be nicknamed the evil twins when they were together. Ski is also easier to understand in the Evil Twins song.
