Personally, I don’t think it was disrespectful as there wasn’t any disrespect intended… everyone was just having fun (& the guys knew it was just a playful setup). Also, seeing all the antics from the behind the scenes, lives & shows that our guys get up to & have done so over the years, I feel they are totally “chill” & enjoy that type of “play”. Especially after having to do the same ol’ interviews & questions all the time. They are definitely not the uptight type of “celebrities”.

As much as I enjoy the BTS hide and seek clip because BTS are entertaining as hell and i love them, I did think the whole concept was a little ehhh with Cordon and Kutcher collecting them like pokemon to win a game. Kutcher picking up Jin and Jimin just kind of made it worse that they weren't really treating them like individuals.
Not the worst thing that's ever been said or done to them, and I assume they agreed to the idea, but yeah, like you said, disrespectful.

The optics of them going on an American TV show as POC and a kpop group and then being collected like pokemon and picked up and carried around while they're largely silent is a bit different than them playing around with each other or on their own show. Of course they're not uptight, and I did say the skit is enjoyable, but that doesn't mean I can't still raise my eyebrow at the late late show and Corden and Kutcher.
