Awesome scene! The Mosasaurus looks really great. Considering it has an animatronic head blend with CGI. This is the scene that also shows that Connor is not only an idiotic science nerd, but also has the capability to defend himself if necessary.
The animatronics are very, very good! Excellent work by 'Crawley Creatures' (the company who created the animatronic). The mix of animatronic used in Series 1 (primarily) is reminiscent of Primeval's origins. Animatronics were used on the shows predecessors (Prehistoric Park and Walking With Dinosaurs), created by the same people.
that's the one thing that bothers me in this scene like they show it circling around Abby, who is clearly standing in waist high water and then it submerges and it seems to be in super deep water all of a sudden.
I remember this epic show from when I was in year 4 at school it was class! I was an absolute dinosaur fanboy and I knew so many facts so I used to point out all the flaws in the creature design, but I still loved it
Epic adventures with eli Scout, and pearl People who had / have no special interests are usually the quickest to judge! But life is too short so if people wanna talk about dinosaurs then why the hell not lmao
Personally, I do not usually complain about the inaccuraces of dinosaurs in this type of media, since they are purely fictional shows or movies, not documentaries.
I know there was an animatronic used in this episode, but I honestly can't see where! Did they cut the scenes, or is it just because they did a REALLY GREAT job about mixing animatronics and CGI ?
It was used! It's just INCREDIBLY well done. They enhanced the animatronic with CGI for more fluid movement, and the shot that most resembles the prop is just prior to the Mosasaur going back under the water, and then it transitions to CGI for the fully submerged shot.
Mosasaur are actually bigger and the baby ones at actually the size of a full grown elephant so witch means they were missing with a baby mosasaur wich explains why it is small good movie by the way
What I like about Connor here. He doesn’t try to hard to be the action hero like Stephen does. Connor only becomes the action hero if he need to because he trying to defend himself and Abby. Stephen just try to hard and put these funny faces and act like it fun and funny when he try to be a action hero. That why I always prefer Connor over Stephen.
I don’t know why, but every time I watched this episode I wondered what would happen in an underwater anomaly appeared on land. Would the land flood and would the water drain from the past? I feel like that is something the writers never considered
Actually we did see that in this episode. Where the anomaly reopen in a basement of a woman house. We know now that underwater anomalies will flood the place where they appear.
@@rtaylor7384 but it wasn’t the main focus of the episode. I would want to see an episode where an anomaly opens up and floods an entire town or something like that
In Germany and the US names were given. But they are different to each other, and often feel 'rushed'. So in other words, the titles aren't really too great, and the episodes are easier to identify by number (the titles aren't commonly known worldwide).
The creature seen in this Episode was confirmed to be a Mosasaur in the Episode itself. Even if it is inaccurate to what we know about Mosasaurs, this is definitely Primeval's depiction of a Mosasaur.

Hey!
Idiotic means smart
And smart means Idiotic. *correction*
This is literally my childhood. I loved primeval so much as a kid
2:55 So the Mosasaurus dives back into the water when it's on shore and the water is deep-
Y'know what? Forget it, it's still a great scene!
Ik I'm 2 years late but I have a theory
There is a chance that there is a big drop-off at the shore
that's the one thing that bothers me in this scene

No he’s not he was just a smart kid who loved Dinosaurs nothing wrong with that so he wasn’t annoying he just knew facts

Thank you sir haha
I remember being scared when I first watched this…then I loved the show. I remember always thinking on a Saturday, “I can’t wait for Primeval!”
The good thing about this video is that there isn't a toxic community of children who think they know everything about dinosaurs
Personally, I do not usually complain about the inaccuraces of dinosaurs in this type of media, since they are purely fictional shows or movies, not documentaries.

That’s a mosasore cant spell
This is my favorite creature of Primeval, as the Mosasaurus is my favorite animal as well.
Me too! If you haven't already, watch sea monsters: a prehistoric adventure by national geographic, it's all on UA-cam!
That shot/transition from puppet to CG at 2:58 is beautiful, and the CGI in this scene overall isn't that dated either.
Mosasaur: Hmhmhmhmhmhahahahahahahahahahaaaa!
Swans flee in panic!
Good afternoon and I have to go with the other day that you are interested and I am a little while to get back
Soy única hablando español pero bueno solo vengo a decir que me gusta connor temple
I actually like the appearance of the Mosasaurus in Primeval lol
This was quite a tense when I first saw it when I was about 7 ......Connor is a badass
The mosasaur is way bigger than this but still cool video
Its a juvenile mosasaur, you get to see a much larger adult at the end of the episode.
I know it's a 2 year old comment. But it's a fictional show. Not a document
mosasaurus is small in real life
@@reyex9868 tbh the adult mosasaurus we see later in the episode is probably about the right size.
Cool pimeval site
Nostalgia Mosasaur 😢
Masosaur is the best
Demasiado iconica esta serie, aunque no me acordaba que los efectos fueran tan así 😂

Nice

2:36 Couldn't this be the way how to fight or defend against bigger crocodiles?

I have one question
*WHERE IS THE MOSASAURUS’S TAIL FLUKE!??!!!?!?!?!?!?*
Mistake scene
1:07 The water was shallow just now.
1:13 After this scene how depth is water?
As a kid I thought this always made no sense so I just figured there were 2
It hisses kinda like a crocodile
Cool!
Dinosaurs are living on the swing i see that mosasaurus
I was going to say who would win in a fight between Mosasaurus and Mer Creature but I think we know who would come on top.
this is probaly how the future crocs would look like!
Probably not, it’s the other way round
Mososa

They really can not jump over a boat when their life is on the line? Really?
What happens when an inaccurate mososaur attacks.
Beware of mosasaur
Bennett Fender how do you know if it’s accurate or not? Have you seen a living one? Hmm?
Recent discoveries.
Finally, the mosasaur gets back to the cretaceous . And we will not regret it.

question: is there actual names for the episodes?

Must be a juvenile mosasaur
It is, it was then eaten by an adult not long after entering the anomaly.
Or a prognathodon
