We can talk about the players all we want, but a big hat off for Roberto Martinez if you asked me. I think his contribution is too often minimised by many Belgian analysts. To me the fact this looking forward coach was giving young and talented players the confidence, chances and patience they need in their development since very early on, is the kind of skill and insight that's being denied way too often. Thank you Roberto Martinez i sure hope you'll stay with us for a long time to come.
Yeah best thing Belgium ever did was get a non Belgian coach. Belgian coaches kept living in the past. Have World Class players but play like Belgium was still a lesser team and played a defensive style. This current team played their best games under Martinez and the few matches Dick Advokaat was coach. They aren't afraid to make the game with this team.
@@bagera8476 That's not entirely true. The best coaches Belgium ever had ( Raymond Goethals in the 70's and Guy Thys in the 80's ) were both Belgian. With them, Belgium got a third place at the Euro in 1972, reached the final of the Euro in 1980 and reached the semi-final of the world cup in 1986.
From an England fan through and through, Belgium are the best international team in the world. You guys even were in 2018, but were just unlucky against France's confidence and flair.

Not a lot of these players were under 25 actually. Doku was the only actually young player here. However, Belgium does have great young players in the national team or in the under 21 team. Examples are Verschaeren, De Ketelaere, Trésor and Openda (and Doku but I already mentioned him)
