Incredible foreshadowing in the letter scene where Sita talks about seeing old Ram in her dreams. She says Ram was not around when she woke up. And staying true to that, Ram never makes it to old age as we see in the climax. The climax is subtly revealed 50 minutes into the movie. Genius screenplay right there.
