The hole all the way through the tooth would be to run a wire through them to connect them to other teeth the hole in the top would be to connect it to a wooden mouth frame. George Washington’s false teeth were made that way.
I remember when a was a little girl and seeing in a magazine a picture of George Washington's false teeth and wanting so bad to see them up close and personal because it was such an odd surreal thing to think about.
I came across your Chanel a few weeks ago and can honestly say you are now my favourite bedtime Chanel. So relaxing, lovely content, and I just love the accompanying piano music! Wonderful ❤
Hello lovely ladies, what a video! Fantastic. So great to see you all out and about, I bet you slept well after your adventures. Loved the pipes and your "pipe stem bunny" and how fortunate you are to be gifted such a beautiful picture, robins are so special. Hope everyone out there had an amazing Easter. Much love Sue Gosling Adelaide south Australia, (enjoying fabulous Autumn weather)
😳 🤸🏻♂️🤸🏻♂️, the Mudlarking God's were really, really wonderful to you with these AMAZING finds. Congratulations Fleur🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, what a marvelous tiny clay pipe!!! I'm ready hoping that you can find the origin and and back story of it🤞🏻. Blessings to you and your precious family. And a special hello to Steve 🐟, Tony 🐟 and kitty kisses and hugs to Sir Sunny 🐾. 🤗🤭😘
The tiny clay pipe could have been an advertisement for larger pipes, when salesmen took their wares to stores to get orders. Travelling salesmen had a lot of their wares in miniatures in the Victorian and Edwardian era.
i almost cried when your mom didnt even look at the torpedo bottle to see if it was whole...but i love love the little pipe she found that is the best thing ever!!!!!i think the tooth may have been for a bridge where you clip them to the teeth next to them to hide a missing tooth and you can pop it out and clean it my dad has one now honestly. if you dont know ask your mom to tell you about a bridge for your teeth.
@Mudlarking With Kit & Caboodlers I just remember the song, "He's got the Whole World in His hands, He's got the Whole Wide World, in His hands......" I'm pretty sure that song wasn't about Atlas. haha ... you did say like feathers coming up .. not a tail. Heavenly wings, dear ones. It is AMAZING......the construction and Godlike exhibit.
Since you introduced me to Milliput I have been rebuilding feet, hands, shoulder plates, half arms, foreheads, fingers... all manner of broken doll parts. Your finds today were amazing.
The best beach!! We’re only two minutes in, but had to stop and comment to say that the rat pipe stem is absolutely gorgeous! How cool. Your shots at the beginning are stunning too. Dad and I sitting down now to enjoy 😍x
A joyful Easter film. Lovely finds and so good to see you out again especially with all the family. Kate, your Easter bunny craft was the perfect end. xx
I've seen tiny pipes described as cigarette pipes and they were used as cigarette holders rather than for filling with tobacco. It could be a meerschaum pipe rather than clay too.
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers I found it! In the Shire Album Clay Tobacco Pipes book page 16 your pipe is shown and described as a late 19th Century 'cigarette pipe depicting Atlas supporting the universe.'
At the end of WW2 my daddy was stationed in Europe n he found a tiny pipe also which he brought home. I have it in my curio closet. I'll try to remember to get it out n send you a picture. Such wonderful finds you had on this trip.
Re small pipe - it’s Atlas Atlas, in Greek mythology, son of the Titan Iapetus and the Oceanid Clymene (or Asia) and brother of Prometheus (creator of humankind). In Homer's Odyssey, Book I, Atlas seems to have been a marine creature who supported the pillars that held heaven and earth apart 👍🏻
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers he gets mixed up with Hercules (who had legs) because Hercules tricked atlas into holding up the earth (some translation say heavens or sky not world) whilst he got some padding for his shoulders. Then Hercules left him to it. The Atlantic Ocean is named after him, it was know originally as the Atlas Sea. 👍🏻
Sounds good, I thought it might be Oceanus. He was depicted by Greeks and Romans as a muscular torso man with serpents body. Oceanus and Atlas are tasked with guiding celestial bodies, planets, etc. I have no idea how that would date the pipe. Really enjoy your videos, thank you all.
I'm not sure I told you yet but I'm formerly Laura Furches. I started my own channel about scraplife and my adventures treasure hunting as well as scraping metals for extra money. It also will feature my twins robotics stuff and working on stuff. When I saw you (Fleur) pick up the cherub pottery shard, I thought mudmas craft. Then Kate found the boy with a winter cap on. Mudmas craft, you both also found some other pieces that will make great Mudmas ornaments. What a wonderful video. I always love it when the who family is involved in the making of the video but this one I could feel your excitement and the specialness of being out there after such a long time. so glad you got to find some whole things and some very special things like the tiniest pipe ever. even if it is a toy, it's terrific. I also loved your Easter craft rebuild of the rabbit. Clever use of the pipe and stems to make basket and carrots. I collect Easter figurnes. I love clever use of materials to make things like carrots or whatever. Brilliant! Cheers from North Carolina!
🐰🐰🐰🐰🐣🐣🐣🐣🥚🥚🥚🌿❤️ Happy Easter from The Cotswolds. I think my favourite has to be the tiny terracotta pipe/whistle. So thrilled for you Fleur. Easter bunny was so well crafted too Kate, just love the 🥕🥕🥕 Alli xx
The design on your little pipe looks to be a Victorian interpretation of the Assyrian sculpture of Nineveh. The British Museum has the world's best collection of Assyrian art. I hope you can find more about it.
I’ve done some research and, maybe someone has already said this, but the small clay pipe could very well have been a child’s toy pipe for bubbles. They did make them for many years, later glazing them and using them as prizes in crackerjacks. I asked my father who is 93, and he said his father had a pipe very similar to yours, from his childhood in Ireland.
OK...I am only 3:30 in, and I’m finding myself thinking, with each find...”oh...that is the best find of the day!” and then you pick up something even better!
Your little string creature looks like someone with a lot of stories to tell. Maybe some childrens books in the making ,just an idea.He is so cute,I'd read his stories. GOD Bless from PA. USA.
I just love it when you two find something and get excited! I have two real rats who are gorgeous, so I like that pipe stem 😂 Glad you found a full baby figurine!
Thanks for the fun. I loved your mini pipe find and the adorable hand-crafted bunny. Also, I love your terra cotta colored wellies Kate. They suit you perfectly. :-D
I've watched a bunch of your videos now. Probably most of them. It's helped so much getting through these ugly times, especially in the U.S. But I have to comment today, because I am so damn charmed by your excitement over these tiny treasures. I always am, but especially for the teeny pipe. I am very envious of all your treasure-hunting time. Thanks so much for sharing!

Hello Fleur and Kate, The smallest claypipe comes from the. „Klabautermann „ on sea. Happy easter for your Family and sunny . Thank you so much for the wonderful Moments.
Epic mudlark/beach comb. Congratulations on finding the pipe. Please keep us updated if you find out more information about it. Wonderful job of painting the mudlark bird Charlotte. Painting watercolors of wildlife is a whole new level of difficult and you nailed it the first time. Keep it up. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.
That tiny pipe is amazing! I know someone who found a gold tooth with a metal detector. He apparently found it after some big gang fight - it must have gotten punched out! 😬 🦷
Your videos just keep getting better and better! This one has to be a top favorite of mine as far as mudlarking goes. I was hoping to get one last look at all of the beautiful china pieces in your roundup, but overall, I was pleased.
it could be a Broseley toy pipe or a German toy pipe. They were usually made in brown and red clays. AND boy has Oscar grown taller! The bunny with the pipe stem carrots is too cute.
The quality of your mudlarking videos is extraordinary, and the music you use is perfect. I love the authentic excitement you both have when you discover a piece of treasure. Thanks for all of your hard work. ❤️
