- St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are back! After being canceled for the last two years due to the pandemic, green once again filled the streets of New York City. Thousands of people lined Fifth Avenue for the nation’s oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and Inside Edition’s Alison Hall was there for the festivities. In Chicago, the river running through the city was dyed its traditional bright green. In Savannah, Georgia, the iconic Forsyth Park Fountain sprouted green water.
I love it when Chicago turns its river from green to greener.
LOL
lmfaooo
It done went from worse to worser.
I always loved going to see that as a kid. My mom took me and my sister to Chicago a few times and it was always so cool to see
It’s great to have our events back .
Happy St Patrick's day.
I forgot when was St. Patrick's Day but I decided to wear green not knowing it was today.
i just noticed im wearing my only green t-shirt and i didn't even do it on purpose
Your past life as an Irishmen remembers. Your physiological cellular memory within your cells still holds the data memory of being an irishmen and subconsciously influenced you to wear green today.....🤣😂
Same 💀🤣
The actual color us blue but whatever..
@@SunRise-lr7ch the actual colour is Green, touch some grass
Happy St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ God Bless
No doubt I was celebrating Saint Patrick's Day on the boardwalk earlier it's pretty awesome where I'm from🤔
As an Irish person I am always perplexed at the size of the parades in America when virtually no Irish born is there
Any excuse to get plastered we take
@@joshvega5469 3 bud lights ain’t plastered bud
We have a lot of Irish immigrants though
Anthony m, read a history book . millions of our American forefathers were forced to flee Ireland, under starvation and English oppression. The IRISH brigades in our military, we're fierce warriors, took tremendous casualties, It's called Being PROUD OF IRISH Heritage.

Happy St. Patrick’s day :D
The first slaves brought to North America were Irish children. The church told the buyers it was "no more a sin to kill an Irish than a dog or other brut" . .They were brought here before black slaves because they were cheaper.
That’s crazy, like actually insane, like I care so much holy moly this is such mind boggling information
This is true, they were the very "first slaves". How sad, n still children suffer today. How evil!
@@user-rn1lb8sx2c if you care then ask for resources and how you can contribute
Hi, my family is Irish, this is misinformation. A simple google search would prove this wrong
@@BeepBoopBopBap I know..90% of what they put online is an insult. I 0ray you have a healthy family and find a good path in your own life.
What is the odd that my birthday is on St. Patrick’s happy St.Patrick’s day

Happy birthday to the both of you!
Blessed happy birthday to you! 🎉🎈🎉Happy St. Patrick's Day, too!💚
My sister was born on Saint. Patrick's Day too. And she has an irishi and scottish name. Mckenzie
I just have a question to ask wouldn't that pollute the fish if they dye the whole river with green because it's sound like it would cause that
It’s dye that doesn’t affect the marine life, kind of like how food coloring is ok for humans
Its just vegetable dye
Why does Chicago dye the River green? They don’t even do that in Ireland!
Chicago prolly has more Irish people than Ireland lol
Ireland cares about it's marine life
@@AB-jt4rs how is the marine life affected?
Happy St.Patrick's Day 2022
The hell would you dye the river green???????????!!
Right! There's green grass everywhere. Why we need green water too. Yuck 😋
it’s to represent the holiday and freedom.
To honor Saint Patrick's Day
To honor saint Patrick’s day, and the dye doesn’t even hurt anything
Happy st patricks day everyone
Happy St. Patrick's day everyone
The Irish parade was fab I was able to go to the parade
AWESOME
fish in the river the next day “hey is it just me or is it a little greener today?”
Yes
I been working didn't even know it was a holiday
GO GREEN FOR ST PATRICK'S DAY!
💚 Happy Saint Patrick's day! 💚
Since when Scotsmen arrive in America?
Happy St. Patrick's day!
St. Patricks is an Irish Holiday, not Scottish. Tons of people in the U.S have Irish heritage due to Irish people immigrating in the 19th and early 20th Century.
@@swangb6987 damn i never actually knew rhat
I got pinched so hard I’m bleeding cause I didn’t wear green
🧢
You have to worry about the fairies taking you away if you wear green on St Patrick's Day
You're lucky a leprechaun didn't attack you
Slap them
They prefer to be called little people. Ha ha.
Yeah!
Dying a river with a toxic dye!
Except it's not...
Not toxic, it's vegetable based powder dyes..
THE GREEN RIVER IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
Alright, Happy Saint Practice Day!!! :p
Leave the river how it is.
Yohoo!
I didn’t even know it was St Patrick’s day
Wow
I don’t celebrate st Patrick’s day but to those who did hope you had fun and stayed safe
💚🍀
Sweet
Why tf they dye the river green?
It's completely safe, they use vegetable-based powder dye!
Because it’s to celebrate St.Patrick’s day!
Amazing, I wonder if we'll c Dr. Richard Kimble in the parade?
So, for those who don't know, Saint Patrick who was an Early Christian was born in SCOTLAND to supposedly Wealthy British Parents during the Roman Occupation, the town that he was born in is located near the Irish Border where at the age of 16 he was kidnapped by Irish Raiders who made him a Slave! Anyone who tells you that St.Patrick was born in Britain is DEAD WRONG! St.Patrick was a Scottish National who claimed to have had British Lineage..... End of Story!!!!!!
He was born in Scotland but adopted Irish
He was born is Roman occupied territory so there was really no Britain or Scotland back then but the area he was born in was actually modern day Wales. Why does it matter? Lol
Today is avocado day I don’t care what anybody says 🥑
Bruh so have infinite immunity, my eyes green.
Is it a good idea to dye a river?
🍀
Gas price is too expensive.
What about the fish in the Chicago river? Can they see through that green dye.
Yes they can
Have you seen a natural untouched lake? It’s so green you can’t see two feet in front of you, yet fish find a way
Yes. It was soooo nice to not see my husband all. day. again.
It’s also my birthday

whos all Irish im just wondering
In America? A lot of people have Irish ancestry
Strange how covid is barely talked about any more. It's almost like the election played a part. Now it's back to normal thank god. High prices and foreign wars. I'm glad we all made it through.
What? Did you live under a rock in December and January? Omicron overfilled hospitals to the point people with non Covid issues couldn’t even get a bed to be cared for. You people have such selective hearing
@@BeepBoopBopBap no, and I said any more. Its mid March. "You people" apparently have such selective reading skills. Not sure what you mean by "you people" though, but since you automatically throw me into a category means talking to you about important issues is absolutely pointless.
@@xjcrossx Since you apparently find yourself unable to use things like “context clues” and “reading skills”, I’ll spell it out for you. When I say “you people”, I mean Covid-denying morons that don’t know how to use things like “data” and “publicly available information” like the omicron surge numbers. And given that the election has been over since November of 2020, you definitely don’t get to argue that just now, post infection surge, in March of 2022, that this calming down has anything to do with it.
@@xjcrossx and furthermore, you don’t get to get pissy and try to discredit me for saying the phrase “you people”, knowing darn well your statement parrots the opinion of a well known and jarringly idiotic group. If you don’t want to be associated with morons, don’t use their empty talking points.
@@BeepBoopBopBap yeah you trust data from the cdc/government? Hospitals called every patient a Covid patient to get federal funding. Open your eyes bozo, people lie.
Who is St. Patrick?
Patron saint of the irish!
This is insulting.
Am i the only person who doesn't act like theyre straight off the boat from Ireland every St Patricks day?
Im not even Irish
I dont celebrate lol because i dont care
No one asked
You don't celebrate because you don't have anyone that invites you out

its funny this isnt even an american holiday yet we celebrate it by calling irish immigrants
