what a match...a real prequel to pakistan eng final in the world cup 1991-92 , so many guns pakistan has ...infact this pakistan team is much much better than pakistan team of 1991 world cup 2 years later...
Oh wow..my word. What a magnificent performance by Pakistan. Chasing at 6.5 RPO back in 1989. Great T20 style innings by Ramiz. Uncharacteristic of him. 👏👏
True, but it was a sensational innings by Rameez, haven't seen him play so aggressively ever. Salim Malik was the man who changed the course of the game.
One of the very best Chases by Pakistan that I witnessed. Getting 195 runs in those days was nearly impossible but the incredible partnership between Raja and Malik made it look very easy.....
Such a beautiful match... In a way this is a pre curser to the 1991 world Cup final... I think. Pakistan improved on this performance 2.25 years later and won the cup... 👍
You probably dont give a damn but does anybody know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would love any help you can offer me
@Kingsley Milan thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hello Sir ..thanks for uploading these classic videos from the late 80's which are very rare ..could you please try to upload more videos from the 80's and the 90's which were only telecasted on doordarshan in those days ..like the westindies tour of India in 1988 and Srilanka tour of India during 1995 , Azhar's fastest hundred versus Newzealand in 1988 etc
His career figures say otherwise, but I always thought Abdul Qadir a superior bowler to Warne. He bowled a better googly and flipper. Warne, for all his talk of variations, was essentially a leg break bowler. He didn't bowl the googly or the flipper much, particularly in his later career. Where Warne scored over Qadir was in his temperment. He kept his cool and used his skills to out think batsmen.
What a great victory by Pakistan especially in a run chase. Great batting performance by Ramiz Raja and Saleem Malik. Slightly wrong batting order especially Saleem Malik should have come earlier to bat than Imran Khan anyhow great victory by Pakistan.
Such an entertaining match, but literally painful to watch, because of the horrific production quality. Contemporary Pakistani production quality, though far away from Australia or even England, was much much better than this. Just see the Pakistani and Indian matches of the 1987 world cup, no comparison. Indian coverage was horrible in the 1980s.
First time in my life I ever seen ramiz raja hitting some good shots..otherwise whenever he tried power hitting ,he hit on leg side and ball used to go towards 3rd man such was a pathetic hitter he was
Salim Malik was superman those days
Abdual Qadir came to receive Rameez Raja . Rameez played wonderfully remained unbeaten.
It was a brave nd match winning innings of great Salim Malik

What a captain Imran Khan was as he was always there wanted to fight Pakistan till the last ball of the game. LEGEND
Thanks for uploading; many years ago I missed watching it. I was surprised by Pakistan victory. Salim Malik's cameo led to the victory.

Thanx for showing this match
Amir Malik could bat, bowl, keep and off course field! True utility cricketer.
More than utility cricketer. He was a dogged batsman--1989 test series against India.
ICC championship trophy nehru trophy mini world cup 1989

in fact Pskistan set a tone after winning back to back matches and later winning this cup, of winning next world cup.
Eden Garden is Salim malk's favourite ground😀
But this match was played at Nagpur rather than Eden Gardens Kolkata.
Thanx for match
Nehru cup win by great Imran Khan, and final man of the Mach Imran Khan, and man of tournament, great Imran Khan

Saleem malik played fast innings in that era where 5 rr hard to get
it was a 30 -30 over match, due to the rain..
