Jaishankar kicked off his engagements by meeting the Director of National Security, Chang Ho-jin, with whom he had a "useful discussion" on the countries' shared convergences in the Indo-Pacific as well as contemporary regional and global issues. He also called on South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and appreciated his "valued guidance" and positive sentiments for India-Korea ties ahead of the 10th Joint Commission Meeting on Wednesday.

@@kunalparmar873 That is exactly what is sought from the Centre! The ethnic violence is still on till date since May 3rd! can u imagine that? And should we really think India, which is an emerging super power, is not able to tackle an issue in a small state like Manipur? The pregnant silence of the Hon'ble PM on this violence says a lot of things.

@@neerajthakur1936 Your assumption on which ur question is based is itself wrong. U assume "PM has become main culprit NOT CM". This is wrong in its entirety. If you are aware of the situation in general, and not even in-depth, u would be knowing that the ruling, opposition, academicians etc in the state have all opined that the Law and Order in the State has failed miserably, and CM is squarely responsible. CM is facing brickbats from both the warring ethnic groups. Now coming to the expectation from the PM, its BJP govt both in State and Centre. The CM is just a voice of Centre now. Irrespective of that, when a violence of that magnitude erupts in a small State like Manipur, do u really think that it is beyond the powers of the Union Govt to provide a solution? Is the staunch silence on the issue by the PM justified? Isnt it natural to look upto the leader for help? Its it then obvious that the only issue that is stoppoing from bringing the violence in the small state of Manipur since 3 May 2023 is GENUINE INTENTION of the power-holders?? looking forward to ur thoughts on this

Even i talked to many people living in manipur they had this conflict for many years even before BJP and even they know government were not involved in any way, Both side believe other group attacked them first and i know cm has to be capable enough to manage it but easier said then done while sitting on your comfy sofa or bed complaining how gov have to do this and that, dude it's easy to say violence is bad and there should be peace among each other but it just won't happen overnight expecting gov to do it is kind of a ignorance. A/C to me BJP is best and stable party our country currently has right now and i am sure this conflict will be resolve after election but it might take some time, it's common sense that conflict just don't end in a day or a week.
