Firefly wants to be a normal girl and experience all kinds of things she never did before and astral express will open up many possibilities for that, she can leave the hunters because she has already achieved her goal of being cured and now wanting to be a normal person. Also firefly being with the express doesn't change Elio plans of them walking towards the goal of defeating Nanook now firefly can support mc along.

We don't know if she would ever be cured tbh, and even if she somehow did, that doesn't change the fact that she is a criminal and mass murderer in international space laws with huge amount of bounty on head aswell. Thirdly, Acheron already at the very beginning of Penaconia's plot has mentioned that eventually Trailblazer's life will become black and white - we can assume that this can happen due to the death of an important person for him. And of course we need to remember about Kafka's quest, in which Blade has told that Trailblazer was dealing with Kafka a much longer than other Stellaron Hunters. And also he was impressed that Trailblazer (Former Stellaron Hunter) is still alive. Due to this dialogue we can assume that some of the Stellaron Hunters have died, so why can't it happen with Firefly?
