Growing up in Jamaica, that’s how we all learnt to do our part in family chores. These are valuable life lessons for children. Only in North American cities kids grow up on the couch with hand-held games and even when they get married they hardly know how to make their own beds.
Many families in USA live out in the rural areas and develop homesteads, where they grow gardens and raise animals for their food. Children in these families learn at a young age that all family members must participate and do many chores around the homestead to benefit the entire family. It is hard but rewarding work and the children learn so many life skills that children growing up in the conveniences of a city don't. This young girl in your video is such a hard worker and no doubt so valuable to her family!

Growing up in England, I had to do a lot of housework and cooking, from a very young age. My mother had to work a lot outside the home and there was six children. It doesn't hurt you, I still had time to play and get a good education. I feel sorry for many children who grow up without basic skills they need in life. Hi Eunice, this 8yr girl, she reminds me a lot and let me tell you God will never leave her she’s going to have great future because someone up there is watching ❤️🙏
This little girl is a hard worker who will never lack in her life because she knows how to work and how to take care of herself. I cooked my first full meal for my family at the age of nine. I felt so proud of myself because I was helping my family and doing my part to help run a more efficient household. Plus I was helping my parents with some of the work. One thing I must say is safety was thought in my home a lot about how to use utensils for cooking, digging, and cutting wood. Our uncle would give us good instructions and our grandmother will chastise us if we put ourselves in danger while doing chores. work is profitable and benefits the individual in the long run. But there needs to be a balance. A time to work and a time to play.
Thank you for sharing, this reminds me of my young me, and it's not abuse here in Africa. We learnt to be responsible at a very young stage and also they do have time to play after finishing all the chores. Zimbabwean UA-camr here.
I have been positively touched by this young lady skills. Surely my prayers are for her to find good education as well and live a very brighter future. So many memories for me as well. The sky is the limit for this girl.
I just love this little angel. This is how we grow up. After school you go to support Mum in the farm, fetch water etc , I personally thought my mum was hard but little did I know she was preparing us for the future. How I wish my kids could spend some time in the village to witness what others do daily.

It is a serious good home training which will help her in the future, even though she might be seeing it as stressful. I did all that during my own time, even much more as a boy child. However, her own is a bit easier. During my own time, I used metal buckets to fetch water from the stream. And if you have ever tried to fetch water with metal bucket and carrying it on your head to walk back home, only then would you understand exactly how I meant. If you haven’t tried it, give it a trial or ask those who have tried it to share their experiences. But with well-corked plastic jerrycans on your head, you can always enjoy walking from stream back to house unscathed. Let me stop so far.

Oh yes, In the Caribbean as a child I get up at 6 am and start to sweep the yard, and do my chores before going to school. This thought us how to be disciplined and hard-working so that in the future, we can take care of ourself
Not only does this beautiful young lady work harder than most kids her age in America, but also harder than many adults these days. I see so many kids nowadays that aren’t made to do any chores and aren’t taught how to do simple everyday things like washing dishes or their clothing, and I wonder what will happen when their parents finally pass one day. They don’t know how to do anything. This young lady will no doubt excel at all she does in life. Her family must be very proud of her. I wish her and her family good health and happiness.

Children who grow up this way don't need drugs or alcohol to feel happy or make it through the day, unless an outsider goes and introduces it to them. Also, they grow up strong and confident in their own way, they work without getting tired. They don't mourn or miss what they don't have, and they don't suffer from depression. Little presents are a great delight to them. A natural simple life. All humans lived like this once upon a time. My great gran told me about the hunger in Europe that drove Europeans to other people's continents and countries. At least, they have all the vegetables they need in their backyard, organic, unprocessed, and fresh. No cancer causing additives or preservatives. God Bless you and your family Girl!!!!
This will make her a very responsible adult, more so than some actual adults raised in the USA God Bless her and her family, many are not as reliable as this child, impressed.

I love how she have everything clean that's just like me well done keep it up
Well training is one thing, carrying 5 gallons of water on the back of a 8 year old is child abuse
During the slave trade your ancestors didn't think so!!!
A very different way of life, 🙏👋🇨🇦
So creative, may lord's favour and blssngs be upon her, love her so much
That's just her life, accept it, appreciate it, and move forward on with your life. Live and love, where love is needed... I love you spirit, and thank you for blessing us all to be here today 😇🙏🏽💛
At 8years old somebody suppose to take care of her and she goes to school and play, her childhood, not this!
This reminds me so much of my life back in the days,it's very similar to yours there i use to enjoy sweeping the yard and taking up the trash just like that , our life in Jamaica are not much different from you guys
Oh yes, In the Caribbean as a child I get up at 6 am and start to sweep the yard, and do my chores before going to school. This thought us how to be disciplined and hard-working so that in the future, we can take care of ourself
Praying for the little girl would help if we not there to give her a hug!❤
Not only does this beautiful young lady work harder than most kids her age in America, but also harder than many adults these days. I see so many kids nowadays that aren’t made to do any chores and aren’t taught how to do simple everyday things like washing dishes or their clothing, and I wonder what will happen when their parents finally pass one day. They don’t know how to do anything. This young lady will no doubt excel at all she does in life. Her family must be very proud of her. I wish her and her family good health and happiness.
Bless this child. How privileged my life has been.
Great job gal am proud of you , congrats 👏

Lol
This will make her a very responsible adult, more so than some actual adults raised in the USA God Bless her and her family, many are not as reliable as this child, impressed.
Wow!!! May God bless and protect her!
This girl is wonderful! God bless her ♥️
