Years ago, I worked for a company in California. They had a secondary small warehouse location in the eastern U.S. where they stocked their most requested items, so they could keep shipping costs to a minimum and retain their east coast customers.
Great video. There are so many parts to running a business and costs people don’t think about. Shipping definitely plays a huge role. A customer can want to buy a product but once they realize the shipping cost it can definitely make them change their mind on that purchase and as a business owner you are always fighting to keep that cost reasonable as much as possible.

So glad I live in the DFW metro area and I do think the shipping is a bit lower as we have a lot more access to the rest of the country from here. We do ship orders as needed, but we also have a majority of our business via reservations and walk-ins.

Ah, no wonder I see lots of suppliers opening a second warehouse in specifically Texas now! Makes a lot of sense. I bought your metal tins when you first launched them back in 2021 and I bought the smallest sample packs of 6 back then. BEAUTIFUL jars, but the shipping to Florida for two small cases was pricey for me at that time! I haven't been able to buy more because of that.
Looking at your website today, the shipping still seems off. One case of a 24 pack of tins is just over $10 in shipping, now add one cases of it (2 in total) and the shipping to Florida is $48. Quite the jump from case to case.
Dallas is the best place to relieve I can tell you that! Most things arrive 3-4 days. I noticed some companies must have a hub near. Some suppliers I could drive about an hour to pick up. I wanted to purchase vessels and had to hault at that $41 shipping... yikes. I have to budget and make sense of that or lessen the qty and only hope I can purchase more a few weeks out.
Right in the heart of Dallas here baby.. I just don't know how to reach an audience that actually purchases.
Just an update honey and hive is now carrying the 1617 fragrance line. Personal observation they are selling it at 1617 prices which is unusual for their pricing model. . My opinion the pricing is part of the reason why 1617 is no longer around and I find honey and hive, simply trying to capitalize on what was a failure, business model of over pricing, in a competitive market. I do hope that someone else carries the fragrances at a better price. As we now know the pricing was not warranted either.
