Very clever. This is the second delicate you have unknowingly solved for me. The only problem I have with your videos is I can only give them one "Like"
I love euro mounts! In my area in south central Illinois the majority of taxidermists starting this year are now frowning on euro mounts and started charging 2-3 times more for them. In the past many years I'd pay at most $250 for a really nice custom euro mount. Now they want $450+. The guy i used to go to started trying his best to talk me into full head mounts which i don't want and forced it so much i started looking for another taxidermist. Is it about the money, time involved or something else? 🤔
Right...I only charge $75 for bleaching whitetail deer skulls! That is crazy if they are charging that much! To me, they are no trouble at all, and you should always, in my opinion, have a cheaper alternative! Not everyone has the room or the funds for full shoulder mounts.
@@KCTaxidermy i really wish it was that price here and i agree with what you said. The guy i used to go to for years used those flesh eating bugs then bleach and mount on a plaque or pedestal of a client's choice. I would be nice go that extra step and deflesh my heads as much as possible right before taking them to him. He did appreciate that lol. Last year i picked out a combination of a oak pedestal mounted on a oak plaque with a natural finish which is really nice for my large 9 point. i have a bigger one at 14 points with hopes to match the mount as the 9. He also supplied the pedestal and plaque plus mounted the head. Anyway, thank u for your time and look forward to more of your vids!
What a beautiful finished European!

Now, pig & bear skulls are a litttle more cause i have to soak them in acetone due to the oils, and these cow (bull) heads I charge about $150.
@@KCTaxidermysorry i forgot to mention mine are whitetail deer euro mounts. Not sure if they require less attention or prep than a pig or bear etc?
