Appreciate your video. I have the 2003 Town and Country 3.8 with AWD. I ordered both censors from Amazon and should be here tonight. Can’t live without my vans. I got 2 and they are way better than pickups. Hopefully this does the trick, thanks
You got the input and output sensor confused in the video, but so did my auto parts store guy , and I accidentally did the job correctly so it’s cool; lol.

I just had this problem on a 2003 Grand Caravan SE. First it wouldn't shift into high gear. Then I let it sit for a while and it seemed fine until the next day about 30-35 miles up the road. I saw the speedometer needle going crazy (a symptom of a output shaft speed sensor going bad), the Check Engine light came on (P0720), and I lost high gear. From what I read, a bad sensor can affect shifting because the TCM uses the signal from the sensor to establish shift points. The part arrived today so I guess I'll find out once I replace it.
Mine 2010 caravan .....the break and some other lights came on then the speed neddle went crazy up and down with. Po420. V1120 V1110 and po501. I was thinking the po501 is the harness at the wheel so it is better the parts you installed. Thanks
You should have showed the output sensor as well to see where it was actually located when you put it in that would help your videos. Nice but you should’ve added the other video as well. Thank you.
I got the code for the input speed sensor P0715 and I replaced it with a Walker brand last month, I replaced both the input and the output just like you said in this video so that they would both be new. And I got a code again for the Input Speed Sensor circuit. So I don't know if the Walker sensor is bad and I need to replace it with another different brand or why it's giving me that code again.
Do you have to hard start youryour computer system after you change those cuz I've changed both of them and I'm still having all the symptoms of the sensors being bad input and output

@@artonaraujo yes the input sensor had a split in the wire so I knew it was that probably...i put a new one on and immediately started shifting. Also they say start with the input becouse usually it goes bad first.

I changed them both out and made sure no codes on scanner. That fixed it for my t&c.
You have to erase the codes. I had the same issue after i did the repairs and after I erased the codes it worked.

No. It is not necessary to disconnect the battery before replacing sensor, although it is good practice for beginners.

Rockauto

I think they help with the transmission to shift at the right time of speed
Why did u need to replace them . My van slips i beleave and i do have a check light
Get your vehicle scanned and send codes or have someone look up the codes for you.
Where does the second sensor go??
They are one next to each other
