I remember getting furby toys from Burger King, and I noticed that the commercials said things like "they've crash landed" and "they're completely out of this world," as if to imply that furbys were aliens.
Whenever one of these commercials says "To order call..." it makes me wonder if we can still call those numbers and get those products, or if they are defunct after all these years.
I remember these commercials from back when I used to watch TV. I do watch TV shows online, but I never watch an actual TV anymore. Does anybody these days?
Who else remembers the McDonald's commercial where the judge of the art contest calls the sunshine and rainbows picture nice, the starry night ripoff interesting, and the fountain impressive? The girl with the fountain responded "I know."
I remember the Rice Krispies commercial with them putting a doll inside one of three holes (the other holes already having dolls in them) and then a mystical voice said "snap, crackle, pop" before the wall opened up to reveal a chamber full of cereal. There was another version of that commercial with cards instead of dolls. Am I the only one who remembers that?
I always thought it was cruddy that they replaced the "Taste you can see" kids with the "crazy squares." Perhaps it's just childhood bias, but I stand by it.
