How convenient that you left out the verse _"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth"_ (John 1:14). If that was recited too, it would have proven that this Word (God the Logos) is actually Jesus pre-incarnated, not merely some non-personal spoken word of God.
