More people die from cold than they do from heat, I have lived thru every hurricane for fifty years, we get a lot of rain cause we have a dry season and occasionally the power goes out but people living in the big Ben area have much more to be concerned with than we do, please say prayers for them that no lives are lost ! All the rest can be replaced in time.

I’m just S of Atlanta. People are clearing out the grocery stores. Ridiculous! You would think we have a blizzard coming.
I hope you appreciate what is coming your way. Hurricanes don't stop when they hit land. This one is tracking to still be a category 1 just south of Atlanta. There is a very good chance you will lose power. And it could be out for hours to weeks. So yeah, it's not ridiculous that people are gathering supplies. Most people would say not prepping for this would be ridiculous.

But they move slower and dump more rain and push in more water. We in NC had a nothing week before last, but Brunswick County got almost as much rain in 48 hours as they did in Florence. Many roads are still washed out. DOT will be busy for awhile.
