I don't know what I like about Donald Trump more, his ability to think outside of the box or his ability to drive the coastal elites out of their tinny, tiny minds. It was a delight to see him at McDonalds and to connect with voters.

The IRS will kindly print you a copy of where your tax remittances came from in any given year. My new job couldn’t vet that I worked at a place on my resume because it closed. They wanted me to prove I worked there, so I had to get a document from the IRS showing them that this company existed and paid me
I don't get it! I am 76 and every job I worked at had a SSN associated with the job. Shouldn't be hard to verify if she worked for McDs. Could not possibly work off the books for such a big Corp. Let's get the truth!
Seems like _someone_ would come out and say 'I knew her when she worked at McDonald's'. A co-worker, a college acquaintance, her sister...

@@Zampiz Yes, but 40 years ago is a long time. (she claims to have worked there in 1983) No one is required to keep those records for that long.
Most McDonald's restaurants are privately owned franchises and owners change. New owners are not required to keep records from the old owners. McDonald's Corporate would not have those records if it is a franchise store.
It is difficult to find such an insignificant piece of paper from 40 years ago.
But there should be a co-worker, friend, etc. that can at least corroborate her story.
I worked at McDonald's in the 60s. But today, I couldn't find a piece of paper to prove it to save my life. BUT I still have acquaintance with people who worked there with me, including one of my brothers and my brother in law, a guy I met while working at McDonald's that eventually married one of my sisters.
If I had become a candidate for President of the United States, I am sure there would be many fellow employees who would say "I worked with him at McDonald's"

Not from the IRS..
At one point, during my efforts to obtain a security clearance, I needed accurate names of previous employers (and precise dates). My accounting firm acquired a printout from the IRS of my complete employment history, back to my first job in 1963. Assuming Kamala Harris worked at a McDonalds--and was paid in compliance with tax withholding laws--then a printout of HER history (easily obtainable) will clearly show her McDonald's experience.
Kamala's Social Security records would show if she worked during the time period she claims. It would not show the employer but would back-up her dates of employment IF they are accurate. My SS credits inquiry document a summer agricultural job I worked at age 14 because I paid SS taxes. That was quite a long time ago
When I needed past employment record information I asked the IRS for past taxes. It seems to me if the IRS is as efficient as they would have us believe, her records are available and accessible.

Correct. A single click from ssa.gov lists your entire earnings history. I earned $795 in my first part time job in 1979.
