Not really, the reason the fire nation was so powerful and such a menacing threat to the other nations was cause of its technology, not just there bending prowess. the fire nation was more civilized, had more money, and better technology then all the other nations. just look at the drill, the fire nation warships, none of the other nations had that at the time.

I still think it's Yangchen, she made peaceful negotiations to both spiruts and humans and created laws that had given peace to two generations of avatars(Kuruk and Kiyoshi). The only downside is she focus on her duties more than herself which is why Kuruk was resurrected as an often carefree avatar
People also forget that on top of being the avatar he mastered air bending as a young child. It took monks years to be able to master it and get the tattoos and he got them as a kid
Not only that, but he survived the discovery of what was done to his People after finding the Skeletal remains of someone who raised and nurtured him; he survived a massive bolt of Lightning, losing Appa and one hundred Years of being Frozen
Anyone saying Aang was the strongest did not watch the show, the point is not him being the strongest, or he alone would just solo every fight. But he is the kindest, he found his own way to defeat the fire lord even though every Avatar before him said the exact same thing. Energy bending is a great skill that helped him with that but it literally does not make him any stronger, just gives him another way to solve things his own way.

I'd say each new Avatar os stronger than the past one, or at least has the potential to be. Because each new Avatar has the knowledge and skills of the previous ones.
I kinda hope that Avatar studios one day comes out with another child avatar series. It seems realistic that the biggest tyrants of the world would wait for their moment. A recently deceased Avatar means alot less conflict in your conquest. It shouldn't be fire nation cause then it'd be just too similar to ATLA. Maybe a future where a water tribe leader tries to takes over the world and a fire nation Avatar child needs to stop them.
It would make sense to be the Earth Kingdom. The Water tribe isn't even that advanced if you remember Kuvira's weapon and how advanced the Earth Kingdom has become

i would kind of like an anthology series that shows us glimpses of avatars past....they could tied in with a present-day avatar tryinng to re-connect with his/her past lives and restor,not balance to the world..but balance to themselves and become whole again.

Korra may be the most memorable Avatar in history in terms of changing the way of the world but that's about it. My issue with Korra is the fact that she was never creative with her bending. It was nice how she learned metal bending, but her creativity with the elements was little to none. Just a bunch of angry fire fists, water whips, and boulder throws. She lacked control, patience, elegance, and grace, she was very emotional and a bit spoiled.

We were all teenagers once and we think the world isn’t that hard to deal with but then we face hardships as we’re going into adulthood but we eventually find our way. She was actually very creative with bending. She introduced air bender movement in the pro bending tournament and she can make huge water tornados and elevates up to the sky without the Avatar state which is insane.
I would say korra, she literally saved bending, prevented 10 thousand years of darkness, saved the new avatar cycle and the new generation of airbenders and defeated the female earthbending version of ozai. Oh and brought spirits and humans together once again. All this in a span of4 years. Even tenzin stated korra accomplished more in a few years than any other avatar did in their life times.

Szeto honestly deserves alot of credit though,as he did ALOT to improve the lives of the fire nation he saw how disproportionate wealth was and how it was creating economic instabiltiy and creating poverty and suffering. as the firelords advisor he uplifted those at the bottom and created balance of social and economic class,leading the Fire nation to prosper. he was also a well respected diplomat and managed to solve alot of problems before the need of violence even arose.
I have a theory, Korra disconnected the spiritual connection from every avatar from the past, then I think it could be connected again if Korra manifests every item where avatar souls is more connected into, just like Aang summons Kyoshi by dressing her armors.
in less than a year,at a young age (where normally he would not even have been told he was the avatar),in a world that has progressed a century without him....and under EXTREAM pressure to basically fix the entire world.
Kyoshi is the most powerful avatar by a landslide, Aang is definitely 2nd, but he never even gets close to being as powerful as Kyoshi in her prime Aang is a fan favorite since we get to see his journey in the original series, but him being merciful and more diplomatic doesn’t mean that Kyoshi wouldn’t be able to take him on with ease

We were all teenagers once and we think the world isn’t that hard to deal with but then we face hardships as we’re going into adulthood but we eventually find our way. She was actually very creative with bending. She introduced air bender movement in the pro bending tournament and she can make huge water tornados and elevates up to the sky without the Avatar state which is insane.

I would say korra, she literally saved bending, prevented 10 thousand years of darkness, saved the new avatar cycle and the new generation of airbenders and defeated the female earthbending version of ozai. Oh and brought spirits and humans together once again. All this in a span of4 years. Even tenzin stated korra accomplished more in a few years than any other avatar did in their life times.

Szeto honestly deserves alot of credit though,as he did ALOT to improve the lives of the fire nation he saw how disproportionate wealth was and how it was creating economic instabiltiy and creating poverty and suffering.

he was also a well respected diplomat and managed to solve alot of problems before the need of violence even arose.

I have a theory, Korra disconnected the spiritual connection from every avatar from the past, then I think it could be connected again if Korra manifests every item where avatar souls is more connected into, just like Aang summons Kyoshi by dressing her armors.

Aang did learn the four elements but Kyoshi was able to split an island while being in full control of the avatar state
Kyoshi is the most powerful avatar by a landslide, Aang is definitely 2nd, but he never even gets close to being as powerful as Kyoshi in her prime
Aang is a fan favorite since we get to see his journey in the original series, but him being merciful and more diplomatic doesn’t mean that Kyoshi wouldn’t be able to take him on with ease
Kyoshi was a great avatar however aang accomplished way more during his time so I agree aang is number 1
