Hi. After going to bootloader my device is not showing when I give command 'fastboot devices'. What could be the problem and what can I do about it? Please help
There are 2 things you will have to try. One of them will fix it. First, the easy one. Set yout usb configuration to MIDI from no data transfer in your mobile. Second, Go to device manager in pc, search for your device in usb list, there should be a small yellow color warning sign in on of the usb list. Right click on it. Select update driver, select manually update driver from pc, then look for adb device, or adb composite device in the drivers list, install it. It will be fixed. If you dont find adb device in drivers list, you need to download adb and minimal fastboot from internet. Hope this helps.

Hi, Do you think this will work if I already have LineageOS installed on my OnePlus 6T? My device bootloader is already unlocked but the device is not rooted. When I first installed LineageOS (6 months ago) I was unable to install TWRP because it kept being overwritten when I booted the device. I probably did no follow the correct procedure when installing TWRP. But no that LineageOS is working fine, I thought I might be able to install TWRP and Magisk because my bootloader is already unlocked. What do you think?
Yes you can install twrp. Just flash twrp.img using fastboot command. After booting into twrp you have to install twrp.zip file. And keep in mind if you flash any custom rom, then you have to install twrp.zip too, otherwise your twrp will replaced by custom rom recovery.
@@TechJarves Hi, Everything went as planned and as you set it out. I now have LineageOS rooted with Magisk and TWRP properly installed as my recovery. I've also installed NetHunter which is another bonus. I was unable to do this 6 months ago when I first tried it but your video made the difference - others have tried to demonstrate this but mostly their approach was flawed. The only thing different in my setup is that I notice every time I boot into TWRP, I have to decrypt my drive, which works fine but the first time I performed fastboot + twrp image, I was baffled by this and failed to decrypt the drive. Of course, I got nowhere so I repeated the fastboot + twrp image step and allowed TWRP to decrypt my drive and then everything went as planned. I'm not sure whether I have to decrypt because I have LineageOS installed. Perhaps you know the reason? Once again, many thanks.
Decryption is required to access your device storage. But if you don't have any type of password or pattern in your custom or stock rom, then twrp will not ask to decrypt your data. Try it with your lineage rom, remove your password or pattern then boot into twrp, it will not ask for decryption.
@@TechJarves Yes, you were right about that. I wondered if it had something to do with my having set a password. However, I have another puzzle for you my friend, I tried to install TWRP and Magisk on another 6T today and I only got as far as unlocking the boot-loader and then 'fastboot boot + TWRP image, and this was transferred over to my 6T (my terminal showed everything completed as you would expect) but when my phone rebooted it produced a message about a data dump. I tried twice with the same result but I had to start all over by rebooting my device into Oxygen OS (Google and all that stuff). Any idea what the problem could be?
