Great review Too bad all dealerships want $100000 markups or more. Being a loyal Toyota/Lexus customer and fan or 22years, I think Toyota should do something about this greed
I would love more than anything if there could be an add-on option for a fold-out rear flat floor to put dogs/cargo on for trips, similar to what ram has in the 2500s. I feel like it would be a simple option but would be used by so many people. I love Toyota and how they are always looking to improve and would love to see this in the future! such a beautiful truck.
TOYOTA is very wise. Hybrids are the future. EVs are only ideology! There is no way to grant sustainable power if everyone goes electric. (What’s more there is no such amount lithium on the planet for batteries to billions cars) EVs will always be a nice niche with all their pros and cons!!! :-)
Totally agree. Gas/Diesel will not go away. Having a percentage of vehicles as EV or hybrid is ok. But the idea that EVs solve all the problems is very hopeful. I saw a Tesla with a personalized license plate that read SOLARPWR. Electricity is not something magical… large source of electricity in USA is natural gas, nuclear, and coal. Solar is less than 3%.
I LOVE IT!!!! I DON'T LIKE BOXES EITHER!!!! THIS IS ONE BADASS TUNDRA!!!! TOTAL UPGRADES ALL AROUND!!!! SOMETHING TO CONSIDER!!! GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!! I LOVE THE NEW PAINT COLOR!!!! VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE!!!!!

But why did you have him unbox the key fob that was from the older generation tundra like how hard would it have been to just use the actual tundra key fob for the new vehicle. That was poor attention to detail
Must be preproduction key fob, honestly this truck should have be out already, ready and finalized and it’s already been almost 2 months that this would have been released but nope no dealer in America has them yet
@@gray_ios8924 get the TRD Sports you won’t mess much. I’ve had it since December 14th. I couldn’t wait before the TRD Pro as i wanted that. Love the damn truck

Toyota USA Advertising, geez, you couldn't get an engineer or a man or woman who actually OWNS a truck to talk about this new one?? I want to hear real knowledge and real excitement from a real truck owner, not a young man who sounds like he's never tried to even park one let alone go camping with it. And since my beautiful Tundra Limited is still going strong, and you keep wanting me to sell it back to you, for godssakes work on the pathetic mileage. Yes, it's a truck, but driving from So Cal to Montana and Colorado and northern Washington is sucking at 18mpg. This new truck looks Toyota beautiful and totally BADASS but you gotta get on board with power AND better mileage. Times have changed.
Thanks for sharing, we're glad you like it! The color featured is 'Solar Octane' and we love it on the Tundra TRD Pro too! You can find more info here: pressroom.toyota.com/vehicle/2022-toyota-tundra/
I have a Production date of 10 Jun for my TRD PRO Solar Octane, when is the expected completion date (ECD) or average ECD the Trucks roll off the production line? My contact at the dealership didn't"t provide me with tat info at this time. I have placed my deposit and have the VIN #. Any info would be grateful.
Hello, we're exciting for you to get behind the wheel of a new Tundra TDR Pro. Please know, all sales are handled at the dealership level, and we would not have a time frame to provide. Our suggestion is to continue working with your dealer for updates. ^VG

First, y’all have to stop taking the pics from an angle because it’s very misleading. Y’all should’ve kept the V8 and upgraded the interior, people stuck with this truck because of its reliability. You guys took that away and now y’all the same as the big three but they’re the big league. On top of that, this truck is ugly and lost. At least, change the grill and bumpers. If y’all do that, I would probably buy it.
@Toyota @ToyotaMotorCorp How long until you stop making new trucks and fix the trucks you have already sold?? Mines been in the shop since JANUARY, June 6th now. No Parts, no Truck, still making payments and insurance though!! Sincerely a infuriated Toyota Owner. #tundra
Toyota you had 14 years to deliver something that has a wow factor clearly this isn't it. Smaller cab, smaller bed no V8 horrible bumpers it's not for everyone but this is a grandpa truck made of cheap plastic. You lost me as a future customer. Keeping my old faithful 5.7 but adding something that has a wow factor Ram trx.
I test drove one from my local dealer. Absolutely slowwwww and looks like a ford/GMC had a baby. My V8 is faster and more reliable. Keep your copy over other manufacturers products. I'll keep my 21 tundra.
Absolutely the V8 is faster....with the supercharger. You can't deny the new engine and transmission power advantage Even if I don't like the way it sounds #RIPv8
Terrible gas mileage and no reason it shouldn't be an EV at this point. Definitely this truck is a failure for Toyota and a poor advancement of technology.. The hybrid system has awful gas mileage as well. Love Toyota but this is a facepalm by them
@@gray_ios8924 it's power isn't even that impressive compared to some of the other trucks in the same bracket. It's on par with ram with a lower towing capacity however. Tundras aren't purchased because of raw power their purchase because of their reliability and durability. But they are falling behind the technological edge with their competitors and it makes it harder to buy a Toyota vehicle for work or play
I agree but only to the extent of the gas mileage. With the new Thundra only getting 20 MPG combined for a hybrid I was a little disappointed same goes for the Lexus LX600. I was expecting at least 25 MPG combined. I have a 2021 Sequoia right now that I'm considering trading it for the 2023 and I expect it to get the same 20 MPG combined, if the technology blows me away in person, I might go for it. If not, it's only 5-6 MPG less to keep driving the tried and true V8. I've done some calculations and it won't save me more than $1K a year in fuel costs.
This is the best 2022 Tundra Video I've seen.
