This is the first time I've played with Fang Alter since she released but holy she's strong for a 5* She's easily the best charger in the game thanks to the helidrop + massive damage. In terms of single target burst now 5* vg might be better than 5* guards cause you can output lots of damage very quickly. In the CM it's still possible to stall Kristen this way, but it's too hard to kill the lightsabers and defenders in phase 1
Reading Fang alt kit I realized she was basically 5-star Bagpipe, and Bagpipe is awesome. So it stands to reason 5-star Bagpipe would still be awesome. Fang has the advantage of an instant-use helidrop though, while Bagpipe needs her module at level 3 (which you should obviously have anyway of course) and can suffer from any kind of SP reduction debuffs while Fang just goes to town.

I thought Ponicirus was considered good though...? Tanky and OK damage, particularly for harder hitting early waves. Maybe not so good in DPS compared to Grani though
yooo vanguard gameplay!!! i love vanguardknights, imo they have the most synergy of any class even if its dps and survivability are both lower than any other class. it's just really fun seeing a strategy actually have to rely on operators working in tandem. very cool clear, this is my first time seeing fang's gameplay and she looks super fun

Fang alt is inspired from Fang, Bagpipe & Grani. Bagpipe was inspired from Vigna? Just about all the utility I love is in VG knights somewhere...
