When I first started playing Arknights Executor was the one who carrier me through much of the early game with his great damage. He also cemented my love of the Sanktas design and lore, so you best believe I'm getting him.
For me personally, Ines, Typhon, and Jessicalter are probably my top priorities. Ines is not only meta, but she seems cool and gameplay is fun. I thought typhoons abilities looked and sounded really cool before I knew she was actually just a broken operator, and Jalter because I always used to use Jessica when I first started playing, so now she’s one of my favorite low rarity OPs. I have to get her out of obligation now 😂
Hoederer being a 6* crusher guard actually have fixes that players suggested and lo & behold, it did fix the class. to mention: +1 attack range, self sanctuary, and true damage on top of that.
So many cool characters! I personally want Ines, Typhon, Jessica and Hoederer. If I get lucky I Will try to pull for Executor too but that will depend on my resources at the time he release
Next week Ines is coming and i cannot wait to go Full Pot on her. She’s a really great Agent Vanguard and her S2 and S3 are really badass. Wish me luck, fellow Dokutahs!
My priorities: 1. Typhon - completely busted dps with great range and almost unconditional 60% def ignore, what's not to like. Poor Rosa... 2. Ines - Cantabile on steroids with a small downside of not having her ammo mechanics, but packed with utility to compensate (bind, slow, invis counter, you name it) and good damage for a vanguard. 3. Eyjalter - basically NG, but for elem damage, and with actually good hps and better range, completely trivializes any elem dmg-heavy encounter. One of the best m9 candidates in the game, but still a medic who just heals, so may not be optimal in the most difficult content where you don't want your ops to take dmg because it's usually a oneshot. 4. Mumu - what Vigil could have been... Very good, but requires building around her, so may not always be the best choice. But still worth having around. 5. Execalter - good cornerstone unit (post mod ofc), but atk recovery and some rng on his best skill will keep him slightly below top tier. 6. Hoederer - still a crusher, but busted numbers save him from being garbage like other crushers. 7. Jessicalter - basically a Hoshi that can summon another Hoshi, also boasts non-insignificant dps for a tank, but tanks who only tank have been in decline in this game since forever. Why tank a boss when you can kill it instead? But will surely have some niche uses. To pull or not to pull will depend on the amount of resources when she drops. 8. Missy - a mid guard substitute with dp drain on top. Not really interested, can just use Chongyue instead (though he is harder to charge). Will skip if i get Eyja first. 9. Hoolsnek - almost completely useless outside of some VERY niche situations which you can handle just fine without her. Poor damage, poor and scuffed utility, even her tornadoes are single target, just bruh. Again, will skip if i get Mumu first.
Yeah, Hoolheyak is bad. Anyone say she's good is just coping, pretty sure if she's a male everyone will shiting on her. Even with 3rd skill, enemy still can move 1 tile before getting levitate again, so it's a worthless stall (freeze exist, most unit is not freeze immune) even if you want consistent CC just use slow. Levitate only useful against seaborn eggs and we already getting past CC.
So excited for Executor, I actually saved 200 pulls alr for him (I wanted to full pot him) but idk if 200 pulls are enough because of my Stainless banner trauma...Federico is the reason I played this game for 2 years, I love him so so much 🥺 Edit: Feist won't come home in his first banner so now I'm his anti 🤾
I feel like I'm one of the few people who doesn't care much for Mumu, she will be the first limited op I will not try to go for and skip. Gonna go for Alter Executor, Alter Eyja AND Hoederer because damn.. he looking fiiine ♡
Alright, here is my plans for these future banners/ops: Ines/Mumu is hard skip for me as I have alot of vanguards at the moment especially since I got pot 5 flametail in the ntr banner and full pot vigil (he isnt that bad, he provides 2 dp per 6 seconds without masteries which is quite alot actually.) Not to mention the flag vanguard duo aswell. I was waiting for Ho'ol because i needed a second caster but seeing that her damage numbers are too low for a caster, ill sadly skip her. I still use amiya / kjera along with eyja when i need a second caster so i really could use one. I just hope that her module can fix her cause i really like her design. I'll be pulling for her but only be using the free pulls. I'm really not sure about Execalter. I already have la pluma as my reaper, blaze/whisperain combo as my wave clear/lane holder and thorns for lane holding at a range. Typhon is gonna be a must pull for me. She is another reason why im unsure about execalter. she can hold a lane against armored enemies and I already use Elysium to pair her with too. Eyjalter is another must for me. The fact that she heals elemental damage from unhealable operators alone makes her worth. I actively use mudrock/penance and hellagur (currently pairing them with perfumer s2 for the passive regen) so eyjalter would be a welcome addition for me. Since I'm already pulling for eyjalter, ill also be pulling for Swiralter even though i wont go for her. I already have mr lee to occupy the merchant niche she provides. If i get her i get her, if i dont i dont. I'll only say that Jessica and Amiya are the only assistants i ever had during my entire arknights carreer up until now. and amiya is only there because she is the default assistant when you first create your account. Even if i dont need the niche she brings, ill pull for her. I really don't know about Hoederer either but this time im leaning on the skip side. I already have lane holders (Thorns, Blaze, Chongyue, Gavialter, Mudrock/Penance), Damage dealers (Texter/ Yatoalter, Surtr, Irene, SA, Pozemka, NTR knight), true damage dealers (Kaltsit, Amiya, NTR knight). If i need anyone to duel someone, i have hellagur. I also like Quartz design alot so if a module could save her, i'd use her instead.
Nice plan. I have same units save for Chongyue so i guess its Typhoon+ Eyja then. Jessica is a waifu choice since I don't use her archetype, and with Texalter and Yato around you don't need helidrop Guard either.
I think you are missing something rather crucial. While Myuelsys (or however you spell that) is a vanguard, she does actually go beyond a vanguard role. She can provide totally free extra block and range attacks, including a ranged unit on melee tiles (and maybe vice versa?!). And though this unit has only 90% of stats, 90% of high stats like those of Horn, Nearl alter etc. are still going to do quite a lot. At the same time, she can provide a way to deal with some random drones extremely easily without having to sacrifice any slots against them on maps where they are an afterthought. If you don't think much of her...sure. But if the only reason you don't want her is because she's a vanguard...then yes. You are dismissing her on false premises. It's comparable to dismissing Kal'tsit on premise of having enough healers.
Hoederer's a Crusher guard coz he crushes us with his thighs! Bruh, all the upcoming banners are so STACKED, hope i can get most of them within a few pulls x_x
I'll only pull for Executor and Eyjalt banner for the 5 stars the most, though Swire is acceptable. After that ... I won't pull for anyone until like 4.5 drops or something, I guess.
I knew the 6 star crusher was going to get some healing at least, but I wasnt expecting him to give himself another person sanctuary and to have 3 really good skills. So lucky that HG hasn't forgotten about guards, the weakest class with the fewest operators and archetypes lol. I'm waiting for them to announce that Vanguards are now just Guard variants.
Ines is a very good unit you will find useful pretty often and she is best at the niche of countering invisibilty - if you have rolls, I recommend to pull Muelsyse is a fun unit you can experiment with a lot, but in terms of meta she doesn't do anything special and you won't lose anything if you don't have her - maybe better to skip, unless you like the kit Ho'olheyak's damage is really bad and powercrept on release by Eyja. If you want CC, there are stronger units you should focus on. The only moment where she shines is against second boss on new IS season. But it's still a bother and I wouldn't say it's worth it. Plus her kit is the same as Qanipalaat's (who is a free operator btw), but with some tunings so she doesn't even feel that unique. - so it's an ez skip if you don't care about the design and all the subjective stuff. Executor is a very versatile unit, he can be a stronger version of Mountain as a laneholder, he can be a burst AOE DPS like Chalter and he can do bosskilling as well. And he becomes a beast with module, pushing his limits. - even if you have good laneholders and dps units, you should consider pulling for him. Typhon is a must pull. Insane damage, wonderful for AFK, the best bosskiller in the game. There is no reason not to pull for her. Eyjafjalla Alter is the best medic in the game. She is versatile AF, she can do anything. Ignore everyone who says about "you don't need medics, it's a fast redeploy meta", they don't understand the game, it's not. Laneholding is still a thing and always will be. No one can die under her S3 unless it's a one-shot like Patriot P1 attack. She is very good for every account, better pull for her, don't look at the fact that she doesn't deal damage Swire Alter is very quirky, fun and she can do a lot of different stuff (that actually doesn't synergies much), but it seems like she is mid at every niche she tries to cover. She has a Jaye's S2, but then why pull for her if you can easily build a cheap 4*? She has mines, but then maybe just use Dorothy? She can push, but then we have Weedy. And push in itself is a mechanic that becomes less and less relevant with each new patch. The stronger your account is - the lesser you rely on pushers and pullers. Jessica is a strong unit that will do her job just fine plus she is really fun with her shield mechanic. But the problem is that we have a lot of tanks with big damage, like Penance or Horn. A defender needs a specific niche to be cool, damage and tankiness isn't enough. However I might be wrong and her damage will be better to utilize, since Horn's attack range can be an upside and a downside as well. But there are too many banners worth pulling in a row, so maybe she should be skipped. Hoederer is a really strong unit, he can be extremely tanky by proving that very often HP > defense. His S3 is very strong, it's overall damage is one of the best in the game. He is helidroppable as well, which is a big argument. An another good addition to bosskilling roster. He is a very decent laneholder with S2, and his stunlocking niche may be found useful against some strong mobs with slow attack animations. He might require medic, but often Skalter will be enough and if it's not, then needing a medic isn't a big issue. He still can be very tanky, deal a lot of single target damage, and both being a kinda clunky, but nice AOE guard, and has pretty good CC. - he isn't a necessary pull, but I'd say he is close to Ines in terms of utility.
I'm personally gonna build the hell out of ines. Not because she's a good agent or anything (although she is very good), but because she's such a badass woman 🥰🥰
So many OPs that i'm interested in. Muelsyse, Ho'olheyak, Typhon and both Jessica and Eyja alters. I'll see after the Lone Trail event for who i'll save.
of all these units, Ho'olhayek is the one I want the most. I really liked Dorothy's Vision as it felt like the event story I really got into that it made me dig more into the world and lore surrounding it. For me it can be cliched in gacha games when they make the villains become teammates but Arknights so far has done well making them still feel like not on your side but cool as fuck. I also love mesoamerican mythologies so any chance I get of games showing love Im all about it.
I see husbandos and I only pull for them. If I managed to get Ines within 10 pulls, ok. If not, it's ok too. At least I know how to manage my resources. 😂 Thank goodness there's only 2 male operators coming up.
Jesus...I don't know who I would pull for. Obviously limited ones but I have been tricked in the past that some 6 stars are skippable, but then every AFK grinding layout ends up needing them I just gotta hope their is enough time to build resources between each of these banners...
Could yall help me out? Im in a bit of a dilemma. With Lone Trail coming up, and seeing all of the cool ops coming to the game after it, I think I might make a decision I may or may not regret. I kinda want to skip pulling on Lone Trail. As a new f2p player (late April) I have come to the realization that, even if I spent years, I might not get all the future ops I want, which, specifically, would be FedEx, Typhon, Eyjaberry, all three of the The Front That Was trio (Horn, Stainfull, and Ines), and Hoe. When comparing these ops to Mumu and Hole, the two are at the bottom of that like list, whether it is that they're weak (Hole) or I don't see them as I character that I particularly like or love (Mumu). For Mumu especially, it feels like, other than the fact that she is limited and is above-average in strength, I don't really feel much of an incentive to pull for her. For example, if I had to pick between Mumu or FedEx, I would pick FedEx instantly. Not because he is particularly busted (tho he is strong), but because he looks cool and I like and respect him as a character. In fact, the only ops I am pulling for strictly for meta are Typhon (giga-dps), Eyjaberry (first 6 star wandering medic + emnity elemental healing), and Horn (artillery go brrr). I want Stainfull because of turret shenanigans and EN voice, Ines/Hoe for the Darknights Trio (no W tho :sadge:) to reunite the family, and FedEx for the unfathomable drip of an angel with a shotgun. My reasons for pulling Mumu would be that shes limited and she's cute (and is maybe above average strength, but I have Cantabile + Myrtle, so DP isn't a problem really). For Hole, it would be the horny. Honestly, not that tempting, especially if I remember my HORRENDOUS TexAlt luck (70k orundum and all my OP went *poof*, and I had to grind event stages to convert OP to pulls). What do yall think? Please, feel free to ask any questions.

as someone that rank Lone Trail as the absolute event, i fcking love it so much that im still in tears everytime i watch the PV and i know i would cry a river when ill saw it again in global, im not so much on the banner itself. i really appreciate it tho, in the sea of limited being alter finally we got an og ops, Dorman Craving is my top 5 if not top 3 vocal EP but Mumu and Hool didn't captivate me as much in other places than lore. of i still got 400 pulls then I'll blast the banner, and if it's Kirsten instead of Mumu/Hool i would spend money on it directly even but no it's not Kirsten so yes. Typhon, Swire, and Jessica interest me more and maybe Ines

Dormant Craving is also one of my favorites, right alongside Dawnseeker, Cold Call, and Quadrant Breaker in terms of the electronic/synthwave category. I just don't think the characters really stick to me that much. Basically, I won't be pulling until Escapismo.
Typhon is easily the one I want the most. Besides her, I plan on pulling for Mumu and Hol since limited and Eyjalter and Swire Alter also cause limited. I'm considering Executor Alter. Ines is an easy skip. Don't care for her kit or design. Same goes for Jessica Alter.

@nely8624 Ya, I agree. I know she's good, but frankly, Vanguard as a class doesn't interest me much. Flagpipe combo is good enough for me. And if I want something interesting, Mumu fills that role. Also, her visual design feels kind of boring to me, but that's just preference. Frankly, if Mumu and Eyjalter weren't limited, I wouldn't even be sure if I'd go for them. At the very least, they are good, and Mumu has a cute design, so it's fine. Jessica and Horderer are just whatever. Typhon is literally the only character I genuinely really want between now with Ines all the way to Hoederer. Her design is top-tier, and her kit is awesome (not to mention super strong). Further, the new skin she gets with IS4 is so good that I'll actually bother with IS for once. It's such a damn shame it isn't L2D. Crazy to me to see how many people don't like her.

I really like Mumu but knowing my luck though I'll probably only get Ho'olheyak. Other then her, Eyja is also pretty neat but I'm just not that interested in the rest..maybe AK burnout is finally starting to catch up with me.

I'll only say that Jessica and Amiya are the only assistants i ever had during my entire arknights carreer up until now. and amiya is only there because she is the default assistant when you first create your account. Even if i dont need the niche she brings, ill pull for her.
I really don't know about Hoederer either but this time im leaning on the skip side. I already have lane holders (Thorns, Blaze, Chongyue, Gavialter, Mudrock/Penance), Damage dealers (Texter/ Yatoalter, Surtr, Irene, SA, Pozemka, NTR knight), true damage dealers (Kaltsit, Amiya, NTR knight). If i need anyone to duel someone, i have hellagur. I also like Quartz design alot so if a module could save her, i'd use her instead.
Nice plan. I have same units save for Chongyue so i guess its Typhoon+ Eyja then. Jessica is a waifu choice since I don't use her archetype, and with Texalter and Yato around you don't need helidrop Guard either.

I think you are missing something rather crucial. While Myuelsys (or however you spell that) is a vanguard, she does actually go beyond a vanguard role. She can provide totally free extra block and range attacks, including a ranged unit on melee tiles (and maybe vice versa?!). And though this unit has only 90% of stats, 90% of high stats like those of Horn, Nearl alter etc. are still going to do quite a lot. At the same time, she can provide a way to deal with some random drones extremely easily without having to sacrifice any slots against them on maps where they are an afterthought.
If you don't think much of her...sure. But if the only reason you don't want her is because she's a vanguard...then yes. You are dismissing her on false premises. It's comparable to dismissing Kal'tsit on premise of having enough healers.
Typhon, Jessica, and Hoederer are the ones I'll pull for. The rest have roles that are competently filled.
Mumu and Ejia are definitely getting pulled. I want Exicuter, Jessica, and Hoderer aswell... But Limited gets priority.

I'll only pull for Executor and Eyjalt banner for the 5 stars the most, though Swire is acceptable. After that ... I won't pull for anyone until like 4.5 drops or something, I guess.
I knew the 6 star crusher was going to get some healing at least, but I wasnt expecting him to give himself another person sanctuary and to have 3 really good skills. So lucky that HG hasn't forgotten about guards, the weakest class with the fewest operators and archetypes lol. I'm waiting for them to announce that Vanguards are now just Guard variants.

Ines is a very good unit you will find useful pretty often and she is best at the niche of countering invisibilty - if you have rolls, I recommend to pull
Muelsyse is a fun unit you can experiment with a lot, but in terms of meta she doesn't do anything special and you won't lose anything if you don't have her - maybe better to skip, unless you like the kit
Ho'olheyak's damage is really bad and powercrept on release by Eyja. If you want CC, there are stronger units you should focus on. The only moment where she shines is against second boss on new IS season. But it's still a bother and I wouldn't say it's worth it. Plus her kit is the same as Qanipalaat's (who is a free operator btw), but with some tunings so she doesn't even feel that unique. - so it's an ez skip if you don't care about the design and all the subjective stuff.
Executor is a very versatile unit, he can be a stronger version of Mountain as a laneholder, he can be a burst AOE DPS like Chalter and he can do bosskilling as well. And he becomes a beast with module, pushing his limits. - even if you have good laneholders and dps units, you should consider pulling for him.
Typhon is a must pull. Insane damage, wonderful for AFK, the best bosskiller in the game. There is no reason not to pull for her.
Eyjafjalla Alter is the best medic in the game. She is versatile AF, she can do anything. Ignore everyone who says about "you don't need medics, it's a fast redeploy meta", they don't understand the game, it's not. Laneholding is still a thing and always will be. No one can die under her S3 unless it's a one-shot like Patriot P1 attack. She is very good for every account, better pull for her, don't look at the fact that she doesn't deal damage
Swire Alter is very quirky, fun and she can do a lot of different stuff (that actually doesn't synergies much), but it seems like she is mid at every niche she tries to cover. She has a Jaye's S2, but then why pull for her if you can easily build a cheap 4*? She has mines, but then maybe just use Dorothy? She can push, but then we have Weedy. And push in itself is a mechanic that becomes less and less relevant with each new patch. The stronger your account is - the lesser you rely on pushers and pullers.
Jessica is a strong unit that will do her job just fine plus she is really fun with her shield mechanic. But the problem is that we have a lot of tanks with big damage, like Penance or Horn. A defender needs a specific niche to be cool, damage and tankiness isn't enough. However I might be wrong and her damage will be better to utilize, since Horn's attack range can be an upside and a downside as well. But there are too many banners worth pulling in a row, so maybe she should be skipped.
Hoederer is a really strong unit, he can be extremely tanky by proving that very often HP > defense. His S3 is very strong, it's overall damage is one of the best in the game. He is helidroppable as well, which is a big argument. An another good addition to bosskilling roster. He is a very decent laneholder with S2, and his stunlocking niche may be found useful against some strong mobs with slow attack animations. He might require medic, but often Skalter will be enough and if it's not, then needing a medic isn't a big issue. He still can be very tanky, deal a lot of single target damage, and both being a kinda clunky, but nice AOE guard, and has pretty good CC. - he isn't a necessary pull, but I'd say he is close to Ines in terms of utility.

of all these units, Ho'olhayek is the one I want the most. I really liked Dorothy's Vision as it felt like the event story I really got into that it made me dig more into the world and lore surrounding it. For me it can be cliched in gacha games when they make the villains become teammates but Arknights so far has done well making them still feel like not on your side but cool as fuck. I also love mesoamerican mythologies so any chance I get of games showing love Im all about it.
Mumu feels like a great operator to be under the Supporter class than the Vanguard.

Jesus...I don't know who I would pull for. Obviously limited ones but I have been tricked in the past that some 6 stars are skippable, but then every AFK grinding layout ends up needing them I just gotta hope their is enough time to build resources between each of these banners...

Could yall help me out? Im in a bit of a dilemma. With Lone Trail coming up, and seeing all of the cool ops coming to the game after it, I think I might make a decision I may or may not regret. I kinda want to skip pulling on Lone Trail.
As a new f2p player (late April) I have come to the realization that, even if I spent years, I might not get all the future ops I want, which, specifically, would be FedEx, Typhon, Eyjaberry, all three of the The Front That Was trio (Horn, Stainfull, and Ines), and Hoe. When comparing these ops to Mumu and Hole, the two are at the bottom of that like list, whether it is that they're weak (Hole) or I don't see them as I character that I particularly like or love (Mumu). For Mumu especially, it feels like, other than the fact that she is limited and is above-average in strength, I don't really feel much of an incentive to pull for her. For example, if I had to pick between Mumu or FedEx, I would pick FedEx instantly. Not because he is particularly busted (tho he is strong), but because he looks cool and I like and respect him as a character.
In fact, the only ops I am pulling for strictly for meta are Typhon (giga-dps), Eyjaberry (first 6 star wandering medic + emnity elemental healing), and Horn (artillery go brrr). I want Stainfull because of turret shenanigans and EN voice, Ines/Hoe for the Darknights Trio (no W tho :sadge:) to reunite the family, and FedEx for the unfathomable drip of an angel with a shotgun.
My reasons for pulling Mumu would be that shes limited and she's cute (and is maybe above average strength, but I have Cantabile + Myrtle, so DP isn't a problem really). For Hole, it would be the horny. Honestly, not that tempting, especially if I remember my HORRENDOUS TexAlt luck (70k orundum and all my OP went *poof*, and I had to grind event stages to convert OP to pulls).

as someone that rank Lone Trail as the absolute event, i fcking love it so much that im still in tears everytime i watch the PV and i know i would cry a river when ill saw it again in global, im not so much on the banner itself.
i really appreciate it tho, in the sea of limited being alter finally we got an og ops, Dorman Craving is my top 5 if not top 3 vocal EP but Mumu and Hool didn't captivate me as much in other places than lore.
of i still got 400 pulls then I'll blast the banner, and if it's Kirsten instead of Mumu/Hool i would spend money on it directly even but no it's not Kirsten so yes.

Dormant Craving is also one of my favorites, right alongside Dawnseeker, Cold Call, and Quadrant Breaker in terms of the electronic/synthwave category. I just don't think the characters really stick to me that much. Basically, I won't be pulling until Escapismo.

Besides her, I plan on pulling for Mumu and Hol since limited and Eyjalter and Swire Alter also cause limited. I'm considering Executor Alter. Ines is an easy skip. Don't care for her kit or design. Same goes for Jessica Alter.

@nely8624 Ya, I agree. I know she's good, but frankly, Vanguard as a class doesn't interest me much. Flagpipe combo is good enough for me. And if I want something interesting, Mumu fills that role. Also, her visual design feels kind of boring to me, but that's just preference.
Frankly, if Mumu and Eyjalter weren't limited, I wouldn't even be sure if I'd go for them. At the very least, they are good, and Mumu has a cute design, so it's fine. Jessica and Horderer are just whatever.
Typhon is literally the only character I genuinely really want between now with Ines all the way to Hoederer. Her design is top-tier, and her kit is awesome (not to mention super strong). Further, the new skin she gets with IS4 is so good that I'll actually bother with IS for once. It's such a damn shame it isn't L2D. Crazy to me to see how many people don't like her.
