Emily Harrington, Nina Williams, Matty Hong, & Jacopo Larcher travel to Pitumarca, Peru, to climb the inspiring walls of the Andes Mountains. Thanks to The North Face Team and just to invite all of you guys, come to Pitumarca, there are much more thing to do and see here. Btw, Pitumarca is called the Andean Fabrics' capital.

@@tiberio1352 Por supuesto. la ruta habitual por Pitumarca sigue abierta pero por la situación parece que aun no permiten el acceso de turistas.

My worst nightmare it is when I see people reaching the base of the mountain in a 4x4 and they start to drill the mountain because they think they are the owners of the mountain

En Pitumarca hay bastantes rutas equipas los estos "atletas de elite" que dejan bastante que desear. Por no decir. Mal equipadas....pero visite y jusge usted
Guy I climb with says if it has to be bolted it wasn't meant to be climbed. I hate seeing people drill into rock beautiful Rock faces.
A vast majority of rockclimbs in the world - including the most famous ones such as El Capitan in Yosemite - have bolts. Most climbers climb on routes with bolts. It's how the sport has progressed so much over the years. The bolts are invisible and super low impact for the most part which is why people don't usually think of it until they see the process involved to put them in!

Quit spreading assumptive negativity when this was actually a beautiful experience that brought people together. Doubt you even climb, climbers wouldnt have that mindset.
Hey I live pretty close to Pitumarca and was here when this was being filmed, there's a Peruvian climbing couple here that have built a relationship with the community that lives in Pitu, and Emily Harrington and her team went through them basically. Actually a lot of people here are saying they should have put the couple in the video because without them there would be no climbing in Pitu. But ultimately the community are the people who decide whether or not people can climb there
