      @@windows_down_ Hy man question for you... Would the noise from a bearing starting to go bad become almost like a "harmonic" sound? At some speeds, it completely goes away. And at some speeds, it's loud enough that it has a terrible frequency that hurts my ears, like a "brown note" if you will.
      When turning slightly at high speeds, it will be louder in one direction than the other, and also at slow speeds while turning I feel a slight vibration coming through the wheel.
      So does this sound like bearings?

    • @windows_down_
      @windows_down_ 2 роки тому

      It's really hard to say. It could be a bearing or a variety of parts that are rotating like an unbalanced wheel or messed up caliper/brake pad as well. I'd start off looking for play in the wheel bearings and the brakes for any obvious issues.

I even bought new wheels. When I test fitted the new wheels, I put the wheels on without tires mounted, and spun it. There was a wavy motion as I was spinning it. Could this be wheel bearing bad? Same here, I think mine is the driver's side but I haven't jacked it up to check yet and since they use the same assembly for left and right side I'm just going to wait until the bearing assembly arrives to determine which bearing is failing. Question?.. I have same problem, replaced tires, rims are not bent and I'm feeling the same wobble on the front driver side but the whole wheel doesn't have any play or grinding noise.is it possible that the wobble I'm getting is coming from the front passenger instead of driver side where I'm feeling it?

    • @windows_down_
      @windows_down_ 3 роки тому +1

      It can be difficult to pinpoint which wheel it is, so it doesn't hurt to check the others. Does the wobble increase with the speed of the car? A bearing could also be going out, but not be audible when spinning it with your hand. It's good to rule out a bad axle (if it's a driven wheel), brake caliper, or other rotating piece.

When I let of or increase speed it stops. The shaking happens in gas peddle and more on passenger side. I have a 2010 Dodge Ram slt 4x4. Is this what is causing the rumble? No one can figure it out. Shudder only at steady speeds. Doesn’t matter if I’m going 35 or 75. It happens more often on the highway

      Hard to say, being 4x4 could be any of the axles as well as bearings. Anything that rotates could be the culprit 😬
