The news article was posted on may 20th of this year so once they made the studio they'll begin developing the game whether it's a fresh reboot or a TimeSplitters 4 remains to be seen but one things for sure as someone who played the 2nd and 3rd game religiously with my siblings you know i'm in as long as split screen multiplayer is still optional (for nostalgia's sake)!
