Such a treat unwrapping this gift yesterday! (I'm a day behind watching.) I love everything...but the needleminder and ornament were especially lovely to receive! Looking forward to stitching and following along with your videos this year! I was so sad to have missed it last year.
Thank you so much for this holiday stitch! I opted to purchase just the card pack (thank you for that option), and thank you for my Day 1 goodies. I am going to do a monochromatic piece on a Limited Edition 32 count Lugana from Colour and Cotton (it’s a blue gray fabric) and the floss will be Color and Cotton Battleship, a beautiful variegated darkish blue, 2 over 2. Colour and Cotton is my LNS, so I wanted to support them as well. I am going to follow the rules and only open daily, I haven’t even peeked at future dates! So fun! See you in the morning!
I opened the fabric packet last night and I absolutely love it! And the pine green floss is beautiful. I'm still wrestling a bit with 2-over-1 on 16 ct aida, but I must say the Day 1 chart looks perfect for someone inching into higher count fabrics!
I just finished stitching the first chart. Thanks so much for the very special gift you, Kerri, Jacob, and the rest of the Evertote team have put together for all of us out here in Stitchyland. December can be a hard month for lots of people with its huge expectations. You have provided us with a lovely calm oasis to feed our souls. Thank you so very much.

Wow! I woke up late and started the video while making coffee! But I must say the part with Day 1 beauties lying there stopped me in my tracks and I actually gasped! What a beginning! Now to get everything set up and some stitching in my almost finished attic craft and dulcimer space! 🎉 Thank you for such a wonderful beginning of December! ❤

It is so grey and gloomy here today so to have such a wonderful Advent calendar to open really helps to dispel some gloom. Please permit me to say WOW! What a great opening envelope. The ornament went directly on my tree which is lit up this morning. My Christmas music was playing as I pulled my goodies out of the bags. I love love love it all. I've ironed my fabric and have begun the stitching with the amazing color of floss for day 1. I still have to go over to see Jacob but that is a treat to go along with coffee #2. Thank you all for putting out this Advent calendar for a second year. You guys are great.
I could hardly wait to open day one, but I did. Love the Turtle dove linen and the floss. This is so fun. Thank you all for the work you did to make this happen.

I look forward to these daily videos. I do have a question. You said you do a special tie off and it’s hard to frog. Is it at all possible for you to show us how it’s done.
I sure can show you the back next week when I frog it - it's more that because there are so many different colours in the one space, and because I sew my threads in underneath AND lock them in place with an extra stitch, it just makes it nigh on impossible to remove stitch by stitch because they are tacked down in the back with the other threads. Thanks for asking!
Yes it was! If you’ve only just opened your box now and there is no separate envelope with your linen then it missed making it in. I am very sorry if this is the case. Two questions: 1.) Floss do you cut the loop cut the loop that is hanging down or take off card cut fold to put back on card? 2.) 16-ct Aida do you use single string of floss? HELP!!
Both of these are up to you - personal preference things. I like to cut the loop while the floss is on the card and pull the strands from the card. I’ll show on video tomorrow. For 16 count aida - most stitchers prefer 2 strands but it really is up to you.

LOL, same here! I am sooo glad I bit the bullet and bought a pricey pair of lighted magnifying "binoculars" not long ago.

Love the linen and thread. How many participants were there last year? You said over 600 this year. I'm sure it grew!
Last year if memory serves we shipped out 480 boxes 😊 so we grew for sure!

You’ll have even more than 3”. It’s approx 6” wide when stitched
