Drives me nuts ppl in states going left at rush hr when theres a roubdabout to right .25miles away. They sit there blocking traffic 4ever cause "i need to go this way" instead of well traffic is heavy ill go right and turn around

Many years ago, I witnessed a bus driver turning the bus around, mid-block. It was about a 27 point turn. The driver in that clip could have given some driving points.

Never ceases to amaze me how often the driver with the cam doesn't react to impending accidents - just drives straight at them.

@@davidcat1455 She may be driving on an international license, which doesn't require an Australian road test. Worse still in some 3rd world countries you can pay an 'extra fee' so that you don't have to do any actually testing before getting your license.
IMHO a steering turned to the right makes the vehicle turn to the right when going forward, but the steering to the right when reversing makes the car turn to the left, which is a concept many, many inexperienced drivers really struggle with.
@@krist.5861 what the fuck.. you're reversing, the back of your car follows the wheel. Why would you even consider your front when you're traveling backwards, unless there's something obstructing your turning arc.
I'm quickly learning that you only need to know about 4 or 5 words when driving on Australian roads. 😂

If you report these incidents to crime stoppers they are pretty good at following them up. I thought the police wouldn’t have time but when I submitted a report the cops called a couple of days later. He explained that they take it seriously because in many cases the investigations uncover drunk drivers, stolen vehicles, unsafe vehicles, unlicensed drivers so it’s an important part of road safety. I was surprised but it makes sense. Even if the bad driver only gets a warning letter that might ultimately save someone’s life.
Maybe that happens sometimes, but I was almost run over by a red light-runner when I was crossing the street and the NSW police didn't do anything.

I've had it nearly as bad once, an Audi SUV I think the 7 seater one reversing into a car space in a shopping centre. I did a reverse into a car spot in front of hers and was still parked and out while she was doing more adjustments.
TBH if that ever happens to me I'll get out and offer to do it for them, saves both our times

I was so actively agitated by that and then I was thrown for a rollercoaster of emotions when I find out that was them trying to exit the spot not get into it! Fuck!
@@Coolboynow96 I have actually done that for an older lady, she had absolutely NO idea how to get into a parallel park and I eventually got tired of watching her pitiful attempts and offered my services. At the time I owned a Series 11a long wheelbase (109 inch) Landrover. I could parallel park it in two moves despite having the turning radius of the Queen Mary. I often have a laugh watching people attempt to drive their UCV's (Urban Combat Vehicles) straight into a parking spot, like this woman was reversing out of, at the local Big W carpark....frickin' hilarious !.

It's a lump of rock travelling at thousands of kilometers per hour burning up in the atmosphere. Thousands of them do this every day, some even large enough to hit the ground, a dozen or more per day. Most of the time it's over the ocean of course so not many people see bright ones like this often.

Here’s a question. What do you do when you come across someone going the wrong way towards you?
I say you stop in front of them to protect drivers behind you while the person gets out of your lane. Seems weird to me to see people allowing them to continue down that lane and potentially hitting someone else.

Having only driven in the US, it took me a while to get used to seeing all the cars driving on the left side of the road. And whenever a car swerved into incoming traffic, it took an extra moment for me to notice something was wrong.
I think if I ever visit Australia, I'm gonna need to get a ride from someone.
