- A couple of weeks ago I was able to watch and capture some video footage in and around the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway. The tender from the Stanier 8F 45170 has now been split from the locomotive and moved into the steam shed where work will progress as time allows. The Great Marquess 61994 now takes pride of space inside the Museum of Scottish Railways.
As walking has now become a bit of a problem, I thank you most sincerely for keeping me updated with the movements at Bo'ness. I look forward to each and every post you make.
Much enjoyed. Thanks for filming.
Great video!
Good luck with the Turkish 8f, sad to see the great marquess is no longer running
You know, how in thomas the tank engine, tender engines can feel their tenders, so this engine bust be like, AHHHHH I CANT FEEL MY TENDER!!! Then they do some surgery and couple his tender back on 🤣
Great video but please get rid of that for kin bell
Think you may have got the number wrong; 45170 is a Black Five 4-6-0. did you mean 48170?
This is an 8F that was sold to Turkey. 45170 is correct as that is the number it received by Turkey.
MrAndybye... Turkey numbereed their 8f as 45xxx 's.
Is that one of the 8Fs that was sent out to the Middle East during WWll?
Ron leitch It came from Turkey I believe. Not sure it was during the war though.
I think it was on an episode of monster moves where they went to turkey and Brort bac two 8Fs
Sent to Turkey to keep them neutral in the war effort (wwII)
We sent 8f to a few countries over in m the middle east including Turkey, Israel and others.
Two were rescued from Turkey a fair few years back, one seen here.
@@ScaniaVabis580 Well, Israel did not exist at that time but yeah, that general area.
