I'm sure some y'all heard too Goku and Vegeta had some of the og voice lines (Goku dashing back and forth/getting hit and Vegetas second Gallick gun) so this means Recoomes "You do well" line might return let's GOOOOOOOO

In RB2, everytime they went into the RB mode the theme song of the game played. In this showcase they do the same thing so thats probably the theme song of the game
I'm pretty sure, just like the old Tenkaichi games, when you do your ultimate, it stops time and your opponent has two watch that animation as well. If you look closely, Vegeta was trying to go into his "burst mode" so he could use his ultimate, but he couldn't because Goku started his ult, so Vegeta used a normal blast, cause you can see his bar is not glowing with the effect and he didn't use all of it.
I think it’s a little different this time, the animation length depends on whether the character is fully charged or not.
Blue Vegeta shot a really short Final Flash because he wasn’t maxed out like earlier in the vid, when Base Vegeta did it, it played the full animation.
@@aguywithgames3135 that's what I'm saying, maybe I said it wrong. On the old PS2 game, Vegeta's final flash in SSGB would be just R2 Triangle, whereas Blue Goku's was Down R2 a triangle. He did it as a response since he was mid charge and probably didn't think he could dodge it, or they just wanted to showcase a beam clash
@@aguywithgames3135I disagree. I think it's following the old formula of "the previous form's ultimate is the next forms super attack"
For example, in BT3, let's say you played Vegeta in his base form. His ultimate is big bang attack. Then, when he transforms into super Saiyan, big bang attack becomes a regular super attack. That appears to be what happened in this instance as well

@@ItsYuhBoyyyy Same, they either have many characters done at this point and just hold them back for trailers, or we are not really close to release. I’m going to bet on the latter. I don’t mind though. I’d be fine with a 2026 release as long as we don’t get a new Boruto connections or JJK-like garbage.

I like the idea of counters only being available when you have enough skill count instead of standing in front of each other and countering back and forth both melee and ki blasts. I don’t know how i feel about the “boost” during clashes, because from the looks of it, it seems like we will have to pump r2 to boost our super and overpower the other player. Certainly better than stick rotation, but idk… i would’ve prefered button prompts appearing and the player who pushes it sooner 3-4 times wins the clash. I don’t mind the costume colors, it probably will be different for different Goku’s to match the colors he wore in the anime during each sagas.
they have never done the button promt for beam clashes, and that would be too slow
Ngl, ever since Afro got me into tekken lotus is like my fighting game news guy. Like how I found out about 2xko from him, almost slept on a game with a fox baddie and the best arcane character (Ekko)

yeah it was slow. But I think the cinematics are going to be freeze frames. You should combo still
Oh with the ultimates remember it freezes time when it’s actived so although the animation is long it will keep them in-place if you already have them in a combo.

I just got one nit pick can the camera be pulled back a lil bit with all the effects and partials it going to get really over crowded on screen I think camera options would be a good add

In the Tenkaichi games you could turn it off, I’m assuming if they’re giving characters old voice lines I think the options list from the other games will make a comeback too.
Personally I like the camera movement, feels _a lot_ like a Dragon Ball fight with its breakneck speed.
Thats the only optional improvement the camera needs honestly

Facts, Only Fake Budokai tenkaichi fan will say the UI looks bad because It's literally the same UI as BT3 and it is perfect
The ui is clean and minimal and i rather the game look and feel flashy rather than the u.i which im sure you can turn off

That beam clash segment remember budokai days where you would press the button to beat your opponents defense they brought that back for the beam clashes iyk what i mean
I'm so hyped man, when you talked about the budokai 3 memories , finding those secrets, was some of my best gaming memories as a kid for sure. No Dragonball game since, other than tenkaichi which I hadn't played at the time but see that it's like budokai, has hit me in the same way!

That's a really good point about stuff like Story Mode actually. Alot of people will only look at the fighting, but the Budokai/BT series always tried to avoid making the games linear. There were always twists, turns and secrets that you wouldn't even know about until a friend told you about it at school or something.
After rewatching it for like the 50th time what’s really interesting is the music. It’s like a mix of tenkaichi and dbfz it’s really cool.
Bro, I noticed instantly that they had Sean record the same vocal effects in this game that he did all those years ago in the original budokai games. An interesting appeal to nostalgia I never would've expected but I actually do like
Nah, they are still using old voice clips from the Budokai series and Tenkaichi series as placeholder. In the last trailer they did the same thing, you can hear Sean mispronouncing Kaioken like he used to do. That “I’m angry” line also is also taken from Goku (Mid) in BT3. Among others.
I think they made the ult's slower because the game knew there was going to be a clash, since vegeta used his ult right after goku it jus gave the cinematic clash
I just wanna point out....some Devs from BT3 very clearly are on this Project. Fucking Wild.
for the record God of Destruction Toppo is a playable character in XV2 so technically no this isn't the first time he's playable outside of Legends and Dokkan

Rivals trailer he had Kaioken spirit bomb and here he has Super kamehameha as his ultimate
That means we can customize our supers en ultimate.
I wanted kaioken as a proper skill to be stacked on tbh, the aura looking like the anime would be fire af
5:59 i think everything just stops when you do your super like how it is in fighterz
The Ultimate supers were always stop times, so it will be tough to land raw but you will definitely land it with a combo

A list for characters would be pretty cool. Just not sure if there are like 10 characters that I would want as most of em are probably going to be in the game such as Bardock and Goku Black. I would say 7 is a solid number for a list as well if this is a sequel to BT3 it would be the 7th entry in the Budokai series.
Goku black is base roster i know it, im sure because 1 we already got broly a movie villain from super then we also have trunks from super and it wouldn’t be any fun beating trunks without goku black

I want to see what happens when you launch an ultimate attack and it misses and hits the ground. It gotta look crazy because in RB2 it looked pretty cool and that was a ps3 game
Damage actually stays and thinks break accordingly so yes it will be amazing to see especially on stages like west city

I enjoy the fact the skills are more cinematic and Take longer, it makes it feel more like the anime and it makes it feel more impactful unlike dbx2. I prefer this game is visually Good, and I love the camera omg, I know there’s a time where the camera will cut to vegeta when you’re over his head but besides that flaw, the camera angles are GOOD AF and seems like a Anime fight for real, I think the beams are good and particles, I also enjoy the fact that clothes become damage overtime is awesome af, I think this definitely beats dbx2 By a good shot, and fighterz (personal opinion Since I never liked fighterz, I disliked the low fps since it’s part of the Artstyle And Gameplay.) This game definitely is gonna be the best Dragon ball game we’re gonna get.❤🎉

Man i want to me excited for this game just off fhe nostalgia alone but I can't. It's screaming " one- button- to- combo anime fighter" and I can't get jiggy with that.
One thing i hate about the Tenkaichi series... well i hate alot about that run of games but mainly the amount of dupe characters. This game going to have atleast 8 Goku's. Just give me ONE and i can pick his loadout.

Maybe 3D arena fighters just aren't for me anymore, but that trailer looked slow and very lame. I LOVED the old games back in the day, but this just isn't hittin. The art style is obviously amazing, but the UI looks boring and the gameplay trailer just looked like the game is mad slow.
