Baki I have already said that Pakistan was a much better team from 70s to 90s especially and the world knows it, Pakistan vs India jitni bhi home series hui overall Pakistan has a much better record even in the last 2012-13 series. Having better record in world cups is good but home series may phir kyun performance nhi day sktay ager wc may day sktay ho, it's just an excuse to ignore where you failed.

Pakistan ki final main qualification Bangladesh waalay match kay baad confirm hui thi. Aur Final ki race main uss waqt Bangladesh bhi eik contender tha
So the scenario was, Pakistan and India had to play their next matches (after their clash) against minor teams. Pakistan had to play Bangladesh and india had to play Afghanistan.
So bangladesh was a minor team as compared to Pakistan, so obv there wasn't going to be a problem winning match against them (wo alag baat k bangladesh wala match thriller bn gya tha, aur hum haartay hue bachay, which was totally unexpected) so the real problem for us was India, agar hum wo match na jeet'tay toh India Afghanistan ko hara kr final k liye qualify kr jata.
