It's hard not to get crazy excited...GTA at this point is like a showcase for what games are capable of.
It’s a massive moment too. I’ve had numerous people who don’t own consoles or play games talk about how they’re excited for it. Truly a cultural giant

Rockstar has been on a downward trajectory the last 5 years, this trailer has done little to alleviate that.

Don’t let them milking gta online and botching the remasters of old games distract you from the fact they’re on a different level when it comes to open world games with a gripping storyline
what is crazy to me is how good they made the black people hair look, some devs have said its a very hard thing to do in games and in the trailer it looks like real life

Love this man. Came across your channel a couple months ago when I was deep in an assassins creed rabbit hole. Really enjoy the way you talk about games and things in general, honest but not angry. Lots of over dramatic UA-camrs out there these days and it’s a nice change in pace to have someone like you to really think about the way you word your thoughts and opinions

That's definitely possible with the PS5, it's just a question of what rockstar prioritizes

It's not rockstar at all it's Universal Music Group or the UMG who's copywriting the videos, check out the professionals video on the situation basically because the trailer uses Love is a long road in the trailer UMG is instead of copy claiming the videos they are copy striking it and stealing all revenue despite it being under fair use it's really scummy

Having people with different body types in games alone makes it so much more believable already. The opposite of jrpgs where everyone looks the same, even their face. Or re4 remake where you have like 4 or 5 models repeated over and over, its super noticeable

Yeah, GTA5 and RDR2 were well over 100gb. If the game ends up looking like this, 512gb will be required.
Pools in FL are enclosed because of laws protecting kids. Not because of alligators. I guess side effect though.
I think this idea that Lucia is the "primary" character is an assumption. Much like GTA5, I think it'll be equal part Lucia and Jason with you switching on the fly depending on the mission. I suspect Lucia is a master manipulator and Jason is an undercover cop, just from many views of the trailer, that's what I get from it.
That’s exactly what I think too. Interesting that people are picking up on the undercover cop thing, because there seems to be several things hinting at that in the trailer, but buried just enough below the surface that I don’t think Rockstar expects people to pick up on it so easily. And the viewpoint from the bodycam footage immediately made me think we were seeing that from Jason’s viewpoint - as a cop. I think we’ll end up having another betrayal situation where either Lucia and/or Jason turn on each other, which will put the player in the position of choosing sides, similar to the end of GTA V. I’m totally fine with that as long as it doesn’t just feel like the same situation all over again, but I have faith they’ll be able to pull it off.
exactly people forget that michael was the ONLY person shown in the first trailer of GTA 5. Yet, many consider franklin to be the main character.
@@infamous_richard8732 I think if we're talking about gameplay, Franklin is the main character, narratively however, I always considered Michael to be the central character in which the story circles around.

My favourite part is the wildlife. When Red Dead 2 released and we saw the extent of the eco system I got very excited for the next GTA. There was some wildlife in V but I thought the system was under developed. It’s seems small but the immersion I feel watching an ecosystem in motion just hits me different I love it.
Personally I’m hoping to see R* revisit gang warfare in this game. I really enjoyed gang wars in San Andreas and it was a system that was really abandoned in subsequent releases. Penguinz0 mentioned a desire to see combat improved in some way and whilst I couldn’t tell you what they should change a gang warfare system would really allow us to work the system.
Edit: The body types are striking too. I noticed the variety immediately. It’s wonderful.
The Warriers has a great gang system that RDR2 was going to use at one point.
Bruh. No mention of how fucking amazing “Lucia”’s hair looks?? THAT’S what hit me the most about the trailer. The damn hair. It’s amazing.

im not playing gta 6 at no 30fps, but im sure next gen consoles should be powerful enough to allow R* to compromise to give us 60fps even it cost the game to run at 1440p if not as much as i hate to say it ill have to wait till 2026 for the pc version
When I saw the trailer, I was not as impressed as I thought I would be... compared to Red Dead II.... But after you pointed out everything in detail... I was wrong... Nice Work Luke.

I still laugh at the Pisswasser television ads in GTA 4. The clip of the guy stumbling in the road with the traffic cone on his head gets me every time no matter how many times I see it 😂
I think that clip on the rooftop is Lucia. The resemblance is too close. I think this is her potentially getting lost in the high life of Miami. In all other shots she has no makeup and looks a bit more down to earth and rugged so of course she looks a bit different. But here, she has on makeup, hair extensions, expensive shades and a Louis Vuitton (GTA version) bathing suit while partying on a rooftop. Surely she’s either trying to blend into that life for some reason or she actually did get caught up in it at one point for some mission
RDR2 still blows me away with its living breathing world this looks like it will surpass it in that regard.
I’ve played enough 4k cyberpunk to not get too excited, it’s not like the graphics will be better than that on a ps5
Pawel Sasko the lead quest designer in one of his streams said he had friends from Rockstar talking about how dense the world is so that has me excited.

I mean GTA 5 has a performance mode in 60fps and a fidelity mode in 30fps. I don’t really get why you think they won’t do the same for GTA 6.
They could also make a 40fps mode for 120hz+ screens like insomniac games did with Spiderman 2 which is a great balance for both smoothness and fidelity.

Funny how consoles are considered entry level, when you can pay marginally more for a PC with similar performance and then you still have to pay more for every game you buy on a console and on top of that 2 years later they tell you to buy the pro version of the console where you could just upgrade your PC to one that lasts you 5-6 years.

Yeah, as a game physics nerd it was one of the first things I noticed and it blew me away. I have legit never seen hair look that good in a video game let alone an open world game and not only that but there are a lot of other neat little physics implementations too (which are also some of the best I have ever seen in a game), such as jewellery, clothing and body physics.
Pretty much everything moves in a way I'd expect it to in real life and it's impressive as hell. The budget is rumoured to be up to 2 billion and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that's true at this point.
@@Reds-Retros Yeah I think it’s 2 billion allocated for its total lifespan. It’s like they’re pulling all the stops. They’re not skimping on anything and they want it… to last loooong time. They’re trying to make the ultimate game. I mean 2 billion?? Good god! Rdr2 was 580 million and that was incredible in detail! Bummed it won’t be out on PC for years🥲

He can. Tons of youtubers are doing it and I've never heard of Rockstar being unhappy about people hyping and analyzing their trailer. It is what it is, but Luke could have watched it through first. 🤷♂️

im so glad they dont have to worry about 4 core cpu's or HDD's, gpu is scalable so the series s isnt so bad
How is NOBODY catching the fact that the black guy in blue flower shorts on the beach has airpods on man, and also that the dude who's filming the girls on the live video from the car meet has a production camera with a camera cage, suggesting actual content creators characters in game?
If I remember correctly, I bought GTA 5 at the very end of the xBox 360‘s lifecycle. Bought it again on the xBox ONE with added 1st person view and improved resolution etc. and the AGAIN for the series X because of high framerate. 🤷🏾♂️ I see history repeating itself with the 6th installment. 🤣
Very unlikely that consoles have a performance option. Maybe an option for 40 FPS for 120hz displays, but there's way too much going on for the those CPUs to do 60FPS. There's clearly a GI system, most likely an RTGI that's fully integrated into the GPL (Like Metro Exodus Definitive), which means you won't be able to turn it off and that Series S will probably run at ~720 (tops). It'll be interesting to see how far they can push the limits of what PCs can do in four years when it comes to Steam.
GTA VII in Liberty City is gonna be wild 🤣
GTA is making their character models ACTUALLY look like people. I haven't liked the character models for a long time. They were "stylized," but I feel like this really looks real and not GTA real.

I'm so pumped for this. I haven't been able to get a GTA game at launch since I grew up in a pretty conservative home. So I didn't play GTA V until I got to college and really loved it.
When i watched the gta V and VI side by side comparison i was blew away then.

I don't even really like GTA (setting wise, theme wise etc) but just to see and experience new standards in production values is worth the price of admission.

spiderman 2 is a ps5 only title and has 60fps mode, so am sure it will have a 60fps mode as well the just wanna show the fidelity mode in the trailer
Yes but the NPC density and everything else going on in the world of GTA6 will make it far more taxing.

After that Bloomberg article about Rockstar wanting to make "GTA-6" a live service game, including the story campaign. No one is discussing this important dynamic. If it is a live service game I will boycott it.

There's no reason why it couldn't look this good on a PS5. There are imperfections and the game appears to be running at 1440p upscaled at 30fps. It's possible, it just takes a lot of talent and effort (and a lot of money).
Remember how people said RDR2 wouldn't look as good as it did in the trailer on a PS4... well it came out and looked better.
@@Reds-Retros Well I am hoping so, but the thing is in RDR2 the horses only got up to like 20-30 mph so there doesn’t have to be as much loading in. In GTA6 you will be going upwards of 100mph, at that quality on the ps5? Seems to be a tall order for it to be able to handle that, but I hope so, because that would be sweet.
@@socratese5 shouldn't be a problem, honestly. Don't forget, we have SSDs now and can stream data much faster. Rockstar are the best there is when it comes to being able to properly utilise console power.

30 FPS is ok for singleplayer, not good but ok, not enough for online shooting, driving and flying in a pvp setting.
What made it look "real" for me are not the graphics but the accurate animations! Nobody puts so much effort into animations. Looking at an estimated budget of 1-2 billion(!) dollars we can safely say GTA6 will be game of the decade.
I already want to wait until the PC version comes out. But if the PS5 version isn’t 60fps I’m not even gonna entertain the idea of buying it for PS. After playing games at 60fps I can’t go back. 30fps doesn’t feel right.
In games that you never played in 60 fps, it doesn't effect your perspective, happens to me, I played gta v in xbox 360 in 30 fps ps4 in 30 fps but after playing it once on pc it just struck

these are only cutscenes and they always up the graphics for the big announcements then the game looks nothing like that so I'm not gonna say it looks great until I actually see gameplay

I grew up for over 30 years in Orlando Florida. It's probably one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. There are so many cultures in Central Florida that growing up there is a major positive compared to many other places around the world. It's a very conservative area and you wouldn't think so because of all the diversity. You would think that would be a liberal location. But no the majority of people are very conservative and get along wonderfully for the most part. Was very cool growing up seeing all the different cultures and my neighborhood and getting to experience that as I grew up. Florida is one of the best states in the union hands down. You have beaches and great weather year-round. So much entertainment you could never explore it all in a lifetime. There is everything from skydiving to scuba diving to movies shows games. Professional sports. Florida is incredible which is why there are two Grand Theft Auto games located there
I just hope they actually improved gameplay/combat and questdesign. I cant play GTA anymore because its way too boring and it will be the same with GTA 6 if they dont improve anything besides graphics again. RDR2 was even worse. Yeah in many ways a very impressive game....from a technical standpoint. As a game it was insanely boring with terrible pacing, lame and uninspired combat/gameplay mechanics and their garbage questdesign.
Unpopular opinion : Rockstar´s games are way too overhyped for no reason and the last really good GTA was san andreas.

On first watch it was really good. On second watch while pausing and looking at the details, im just blown away.
My only concern is the protagonists. I really hope both main characters are well-written and playable, and not one of them overshadows the other.
They will not be as good as Niko Or Arthur Morgan but i hope they are decent.

I don’t mind if this game ends up being 30 fps, it’s not the end of the world for me. Red Dead 2 was fine at 30 fps. I still go back to Red Dead 2 and the 30 fps isn’t jarring at all. I’d rather have them go all out with the detail and quality of the world instead of watering the graphics and details down just to get it to run at 60 fps.
But I definitely believe it'll be at 60fps. It's actually extremely likely

I played the past 10 GTAs and Rockstar's Games at 30, and never complained or cried about it. For me this topic is just insane.
GTA V, VI, San Andreas, Vice City, III, II, I, Red Dead Redemption 1, and Red Dead Redemption 2 were ALL at 30fps, and I ENJOYED THEM ALL!
I'm sad for the sensitive people that can't get immersed, maybe they should smoke a joint and forget a frame-drop that will take them out of the experience immediately. Poor people.

As a former Californian now Floridian. I’m unbelievably glad I left Cali and came here. Kinda cool tho that when gta v came out I lived in Cali and now when gta 6 comes out I’ll be in Florida.

What excites me the most is the NPC and vehicle density. It's always been something that bothers me in open-world games, especially ones that take place in a metropolitan setting. I truly hope it isn't downgraded come release.
Same here man. I’ll take 30 fps if we get realistic crowds and traffic. That is something that has always been missing but I think the tech is now there for this sort of thing
NPC interaction is what excites me Bully 2 really needs to happen as they could do so much with a smaller world.

The npcs look different why in other games you would likely find more of them wearing the same clothes; body shape...
There has to be some level balance with it all though.... Too realistic of traffic density and you lose the freedom of haulin ass and driving like you would normally in GTA if you will so thereby going for realism over fun. Same with npc/crowd density. However adding more than previously used would be great just not too much imho.
@@justinrisen1929crowd density can be as realistic as they want it to be bc nobody cares about wide open space to walk and run around. They’re not going to over crowd the highways and streets to the point where you can get anywhere but it’s good to have instances from time to time where there is traffic that you have to slow down for that lasts for maybe 10 seconds
I'm glad it only runs at 30fps that way they can push the visuals. I'm so sick of so-called next-gen games that are running at 60fps but barely look better than a standard PS4 game. Its about time we get some actual next gen looking games. This has been a very weak generation thus far especially with image quality.
Could not agree more plus the physics and NPC Density Ai and so on for me are so much more important to me. So many games do not look Impressive or feel like big step up and seems to be due to the whole 60fps thing. Makes more sense for rockstar to really push the bar then do a 60fps patch for PS6.
This trailer alone makes GTA V look like shit it doesn't look like shit but im saying this game already looks soo good its gonna blow GTA V out of the water hell imo it blows the recently released Spider Man 2 which looks phenomenal on PS5 out of the water Rockstar never fails to exceed expectations for products they actually develop themselves with passion and proves time and time again why they will never be touched im excited about this, I don't care that its not coming till 2025 the longer this game takes the better it will be and its going to break generatinal records and blow everything released in recent years sky high i cant wait for this game
