Gosh I know how you feel. I didn’t get into Sims until the end of 5th grade. I’m 28 now. Sims 2 was great, 3 was ok and 4…it’s just there. Heck you can’t even get Sims 1 to work on modern computers unless you do some tinkering. I miss when all you had to do was just install it. I don’t blame you for wanting to go back. @@patrickrobinsob1464 I managed to make Sims work on my windows 10 laptop without much effort, the only thing I had a problem with was the original lots in the base game neighbourhood (which is only a small part of the complete collection neighbourhood so wasn't much of an issue) however I was able to download the original houses and fix that, otherwise the game works fine!
I'm so glad these videos are still up... I remember coming here, specifically, to listen to this to revise for school as a sad teenager who needed a boost. Now I'm a happy adult and I still come here when I need to focus!! It's crazy to think how fast these years went by. Thank you for posting!

Aydenloves dogs Maxis still exists as a brand for EA, but the original team has been dismantled, especially after Will Wright (creator of Sim City and The Sims) left in 2009.
This makes me think of a Sims movie, live action. With music like this, an eerie over the top pleasantville style feel to it. Just picturing the characters treating totally abnormal occurrences and behaviours as being totally normal. Hurry up talking to yourself in the mirror Junior! You still have to - take a dump for 1hr and 45 minutes then wash your hands for 20, then spend 8 minutes going down the stairs, then take an hour to work your way around our tiny kitchen trying to get to your pancakes, getting stuck on the chair, then I have to sell off the chair and buy a new one to replace it so you can get free, before you can go to school! Then you have to drop your pancake on the floor when you finally get it in your hands because someone tried to talk to you and you couldn't find a place to sit. Then you have to wave your arms around yelling at the sky for like an hour, when your bus arrives then you can finally go to school!! So hurry up!!! Oh great now your mother is stuck on the piano and can't cook your breakfast for at least another 30 minutes. You're going to be late enough for them to actually care about it!! No you can't make it yourself!! Don't you remember what happened last time!!! Look at the graves in the garden, Junior. Look at them. Both your grandparents and your twin sister. Dead. Because of you. Because you tried to cook for yourself. Do you see now why you can't be allowed to cook?? I still hear their screams. I can still hear their terrified cries.... still no one knows why the doors just disappeared. It was honestly a pretty minor fire, they shouldn't have been killed but... the doors.... why did the doors just disappear? They didn't even leave a hole in the wall they were just... gone.... everyday I lay awake at night, wondering about this existence, this life, wondering... if there's more.... if this is all there really is.... Oh, your mother's got herself unstuck. Now go get yourself stuck behind that chair then drop your pancakes and shout at the sky so the bus can run you over and then take you to school.
@@systemabc3989 Well, there were some that were only worth it. Living Large, Pets, and I think some of the ones that expanded the city and made the game feel more alive. The rest aren't that useful. Same thing with the other Sims games. Didn't buy all of them, mostly because I never have the money, but I make use of the purchases, expand the world, make the most of it. Nothing too fancy like exploring vacation spots or magic. I mean, don't need that, and usually those end up breaking the game in some way in each iteration. Base game, expansion of the world, pets, that's pretty much all I need. All anybody really needs. The rest makes the game too complicated and can break things easily, as I've seen. Especially in the later ones. Like, Sims 3. Get by on University, Pets, Late Night, Seasons, Generations, Ambitions. That's what I have. The rest is just window shopping, overpriced DLC for overpriced items, or have their issues that other players say break the game. I never liked the magic aspects of the Sims. Feels unnecessary to me. Just gotta be smart with the game and know what you want out of it. Like if they rereleased Sims 1, I'd get it. And Living Large, Pets, other small things. Don't need much.
I have a chrome extension that open up a tab of this song playing whenever i go to any shopping website. it barely works but i find it really funny when it does.

I spent almost my entire life searching for where this song was from, and finally found and remembered .... The Sims
it's 2019, i'm 23 years old now and from time to time i always come here to remind myself of how good and easy life was.
this game changed my life without me even noticing! i played a lot of sims 2, bit of sims 3 and barely played the 4th one. i don't play sims anymore nowadays but i really enjoy coming here, listening to some songs and reading the nostalgic comments.
thanks to everyone that makes this a better place on the internet. this is a sacred place for me.
enjoy life untill the last drop of it, my friends. time flies and never comes back (:(
Gosh I know how you feel. World is crazy now.
@@patrickrobinsob1464 thanks for taking some time to come here drop a few nice words.
I'd definitely love to go back to those times, but just remembering them already makes me feel so happy, grateful and glad to have lived those years.
life now is not better or worse, is just.... different
@@RaoniAndrade just glad to know there are still plenty of Sims 1 fans who’d play Sims 1 any day than play the sequels.
Sweet merciful nostalgia...
I'm so glad these videos are still up... I remember coming here, specifically, to listen to this to revise for school as a sad teenager who needed a boost. Now I'm a happy adult and I still come here when I need to focus!! It's crazy to think how fast these years went by. Thank you for posting!
upon hearing this ,i suddenly felt like i should buy something.
Has anyone else noticed that the picture says “The Sountrack” instead of The Soundtrack?
my whole life has been a lie fuck
What the fuck
fickety fuck
fuck
i've noticed it with a few soundtracks before
0:12"tututututututututuTUTU... ...tututUtutututututututU
0:24 tudum tuduuuum duuuu, tudum tuduuuum...."
EVERY. TIME.
I was doing that while reading the comments omg 😂
0:46 ruuuuuu ruuuuuu ruuuuuuu ruuuuu. ruuuuuuu ruuuuuuu baa ruuuuuu ruuuu
I like how no one has noticed it says: "The Sountrack"
Omg I just noticed
Wow it finally got fixed after 13 years! lol
@@MBM1117727 the picture not the title
For christmas, I want a computer with windows 98. Just for my childhood games TwT
VMWare should do it. Just get a copy of '98 and install it on a virtual computer.
nothing like a beige beast tho
same
Marie There are websites where you can safely download the entire series and all the expansion packs for free! :D
Just make sure the computer’s not connected to a network 😅
I have played the Sims since the first game came out in 2000 and now I have an Architecture Degree. This is where it all began... Oh the nostalgia...
Damn, back in the 2000s , as a kid, I used to love shopping and building my house in the game while listening to this wonderful track. Funny, but now me and my wife listen to the same music while shopping things for our first "real" house! Oh gosh, time flies like an arrow!
I just spent 3 hours looking for this specific track!!!! it was playing in the background of a video I was watching and it immediately made me nostalgic beyond belief
these were the days man, I need to dig up my copy of this game again asap
This is my most favorite sims 1 song
Same
Charles Hoffman yeah me too
Adam Moloo Yep.
I totally agree
I need a mirror to improve charisma? Ah that toilet needed to go anyways. I can replace it soon enough
*3 hours later*
Why is there puddles on the floor?
hahahahaha

lol
I dont have enough money to buy pizza oh well il just sell all the windows
+Rift Rider People don't know what the struggle is like until they've played the sims and had sell furniture to eat 💀💀💀
Very 50's - 60's years music
Yep it's supposed to sound like that era of Easy Listening music :D
+Sebizzar The official term is Light Music and originated from England
TheBartgry Cool thank you for the info!
+TheBartgry thanks
In the extremely unlikely case that i become a manager of a hardware store or furniture outlet, i will definitely put this on the list for the store music
The image on the video actually says "Sountrack" instead of "Soundtrack". I don't know why but I can't stop laughing
Imagine if this played in the supermarkets =D
I wish!
You'd be like "Look at all the wonderful things I can buy!"
I would buy tons of alarm clocks and trash cans.
I would have a hell of a lot more train sets, I'll tell ya that...
***** And a Shops background music in SimCity 2013
one of the most nostalgic things possible for me. not sure if that's a bad thing maybe. but fck. one of these days I'm gonna take an entire weekend to play the sims. miss my depressive HS years hating other kids, coming home and making my back sore from building houses all day
One of the greatest games ever, me and my friends would create and live through the most craziest scenarios...nothing like this today
This song always inspired me to finish building the houses I'd build. "Now that we got the exterior built, let's have fun furnishing."
I would skip around department stores all day buying stuff if they played this
This will always and forever be the BEST Sims in the whole franchise. It really changed my life as a child.
I don't think I would have become so fascinated with home decor as a young adult, if it wasn't for this game xD
nothing else can recreate the feels when i've done creating the house and switching from build to buy mode to furnish the house with this uplifting music
The good old days of my old windows 2000 dell dimension PC with 256mb of ram and 20GB HDD and a Pentium III CPU ahhh the memories
Ikr! I still have the Sims on my 98 computer somewhere.
I have Sims on my 2013 computer
dat

Irrelevant but JELLAL.
Tired of your Sim Family? Light fireworks in the house and soon your house and Sim family will be nothing but ashes leaving you to start a fresh new life!
thats what i Always did ^^
I always do that. lol😂
a few carpets next to the fireplace did it for me :D
Drew Hughes Sims 4bett
I cannot tell you how much I love this song. In an instant, I was snapped back to 2003. Thank you for the upload!
The music of a generation
This should play at every gun store. *FIFTY THOUSAND SIMOLEONS FOR THIS BRAND NEW TANK RIFLE!!*
Rosebud!
Klapaucius FTW Oh man, this brings back so much memories. Sitting at the computer for hours in the dark and just building and building and buying and buying.
Still a gem. Whole soundtrack gets played when im busy on the computer sometimes :D. So good.
This sounds like the theme some to some old 50’s TV show!
RIP Maxis, shut down by EA.
Klutonec *Maxis
tyelor mcmunn Well huge thanks to my phone for auto-correcting.
Seriously though, thank you for letting me know. Fixed it.
Klutonec No problem!
Was Maxis shut down?
Aydenloves dogs Maxis still exists as a brand for EA, but the original team has been dismantled, especially after Will Wright (creator of Sim City and The Sims) left in 2009.
That oboe at 1:59... OH MY GOD
that might've been a Clarinet or a bass clarinet most oboes are a high pitched sound that normally has a vibrato touch
In all of my years....I've never noticed that! =O
Kay325 it a bassoon
That would be a bassoon, ma'am
This is the pinnacle of the Sims. This tune was always on.
"Sou, sou!"
House next door burns down...
Now I want a Sims movie.
90% Of People: Sims Nostalgia 🗿

Lol I miss coryxcooking
This song is officially called Mall Rat. Couldn't be more accurate
Always been obsessed how this track in particular sounds like one of those extremely long 1960s commercials trying to sell you an automatic dishwasher
House on fire... people dying... Pause... ahhh, much better. :D
I’ve heard this song so many times from other sources that this has become stock music in my mind
Why am I jamming to this? lol btw I love the violin at 0:58
Best part of the song
Always loved this piece of music. Woke up with it randomly in my head since I haven't played a sims game in close to 20 years. Had to hear it again.
Ahh, this was back when Sims was an actual game and not some dollar-printing machine for EA
....do you even remember all the expansion packs the original Sims had? It was just as bad back then.
EvanEnterprises still “fun,” you just need to like pay for 5 or 6 expansions for it to be decent!
Innovative... god no.
@@EvsEntps true, this guy has NO clue
@@Supperdude9 Yeah, i played the Basic Version and for me it was totally fine and great. After this time I played Gothic 2 and Counter Strike
I found it! This is my favorite! :,)
I listened to this while cleaning my room and now it's cleaner than ever
I have a chrome extension that open up a tab of this song playing whenever i go to any shopping website. it barely works but i find it really funny when it does.
2016
i'm still here
ty :)
Music that plays when I'm on Amazon.
I remember HOW much entertaiment first Sims gave me on my shitty laptop. Great memories!
This contributed to some of the fondest memories of my life; one of the first PC game I ever had; I spent countless hours listening to this wonderful music while perfecting my house. Simpler times these were...
Truely a masterpiece of a song; really fits the situation. This really contributes to video game as an art form.
