There are a lot of negative comments about her not being married. Also, when has marriage ever stopped people from bed hopping? Judging gets you nowhere and it reflects hatred and stupidity and shows how compassionate you aren't. I know people who have been in relationships upwards of 20 years and are as happy as newly weds but have never gotten married. Marriage is a choice and should never be a forced decision. I LOVE how genuine she is! She is a natural BEAUTY, she's been in the business for awhile and she hasn't changed a bit, you can tell she's had no surgeries or anything like that. She stayed true to herself and real females like myself can relate to her!

It is so sad people always have something negative to say all the time. Bottom line is her child looks very happy and it is refreshing to see an active father. There is only one judge and that is God Almighty Himself. And He loves us UNCONDITIONALLY!!! Why can't we do the same? I appreciate this young lady sharing a part of her life when she didn't have to. The only difference between her and other women is she is a celebrity. The actual sin is fornication which we ALL are guilty of. It doesn't matter if she waited until she was married first or her present situation. The reality is God still loves her and blessed her with a child. And He doesn't say anything about one sin being worse than another. In His eyes a sin is a sin. But the beautiful thing about Our Heavenly Father is when we do mess up, we can ask for forgiveness and in His word He says He will forget our sins as if they never existed...basically wipe the slate clean. So negative people of the world, please find a hobby. Do some volunteer work, go out and be a blessing to someone else. When you do that, you will find you won't have time nor the desire to try and tear down someone else. Oh and to all those who read my comment and plan to tell me God doesn't exist, please save it. Who told you God loves unconditionally? God does have conditions to his love. If you are not a Christian, you cannot know God. That's a condition. And as a Christian you are to be judged, judging is a good thing. People talk too much and don't read what the bible says enough, listening to false teachers who will tell you untrue things to keep you coming back and feeling unashamed of your sin. And what you said makes no sense, if you only have sexual relationships inside of marriage, you are not fornicator and no we are all not guilty. Who told you that? You don't have to have sex before you are married, that's not something that is inevitable no matter how many people are doing it. So that's bull and excusing a sin by saying we are all guilty is no excuse at all. And you are assuming a lot off of a few pictures. You have no idea what's going on in their lives, they're probably all happy but that does not mean they are forgiven by God and are Christians.

I want to have children and even though I'm under 30, I don't have as much time to wait to have children as women typically do. Single motherhood has reached epidemic proportions in the Black community so it is my issue! I see young women struggling every day raising children alone as well as young men trying to have a life but saddled with child support payments to 2 or 3 different women. This B.S. is not something we as a community need to encourage. Kyla Pratt is lucky her career allows her to care for her child but she is not someone I want girls in my family to look up to as a role model. You and yours can do as you please.

In A Way I Understand Where Kyla Is Coming From When She Says "I Don't Wanna Rush To Get Married" Let's Be Honest Here People, Most (Not All) Men Are Not Loyal Meaning They Want Somebody To Stick With Them Thru Thick & Thin But They're Out Doing Whoever & Whatever They Want. She's Probably Looking At It Like What If She Gets Married & Things Don't Go As Planned & They Divorce Then You'll Have All The Legal Issues To Deal With (Alimony, Child Support, Custody Battles, Etc.) Going Through A Divorce Is A Long Process & It Can Bring The Ugliness Out Of A Situation. IJS Maybe Yall Need To Think Outside The Box Sometimes.
Having a kid already makes their life difficult, if they break up they will still have to do child support (if she chooses to pursue that) and decide custody and go to court, if they take it there which they probably will. Having a child with somebody is just as messy as marriage, I'm not really sure where people are getting their thinking that it isn't.
And if you think someone is not going to stay loyal to you, then you shouldn't be having children with them let alone having sex with them before you've figured that out.

But i just realize something, you said that you don't want to be married. But the child does need a father to help raise in the home, it will be confusing at the end. I have a lot of influence in my life, that having a baby before marriage is not good, Kyla i just realize something else here, you got it backwards marriage comes first, you going to be always stress out. She and the father of her children are still together, they live together, they raise their children together. People should only get married when and if they want you. Having children before doesn't mean she won't be a good mother or example to her children.

I get that, but people have to do what's best for them and their children. In Kyla's case her and her children's father are still together. I've seen some people co-parent really well with each other after a break up. My cousin and his ex co-parent well. I think it really depends on the maturity of both of the parents.

I don't think anyone should get married because they have kids or for legal reasons. Get married because you love each other, are in a healthy relationship, want to be married to each other forever etc. You will never be completely prepared for a baby or marriage, you can't anticipate every situation.
