Very clear understanding we are fortunate to have you
Blessings
Thank You so much
Thank you for showing how to join the piping at the end.
Very helpful video. I watched the video as I added my piping to my pillow. Loved the great tips!
Great tips! Wish I saw this 6months ago when I was making pillows. Would love to see how you insert a zipper with the piping. I basically winged it...but it did come out rather nice.
Thank you for your tips
Mind blown! I've never seen this explained this way. It actually seems doable to me. Thanks.
This is an excellent video on piping! Thank you!
Thank you for explaining how to add piping! I am going to try it on my next pillow project.
Thanks so much. I never thought of turning it over for the last step.
This was very useful to me. Great job.
I love this and feel confident to try piping now.
Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing this Melissa!
Also, enjoyed the music during sewing. 😊
Very nice! Thank you for sharing these great tips.
I’m going to give piping a try!!
I love all your videos! I live in a small town and there aren't any stores with piping. What kind do you use? I'm going to try and order some. Thanks, Adelyn in Kentucky
Thanks for this lesson!
Thank you it really adds a nice touch.
It was great thank you,
Great tutorial, thanks. Where do you purchase quality pillow inserts? The ones from the big box sewing stores do not hold their shape well, especially if they are well loved.
Fat Quarter Shop sells all different kinds of inserts: www.fatquartershop.com/nsearch/?q=pillow+insert
great tutorial! Thank you!
🤗 Very helpful tutorial!
Thanks for the video. Does ½” piping have a total width before sewing of ½“, or maybe it’s ½” from stitching line to the raw edge? Thanks!
I am scrambling to finish a pillow, and didn't want to bind it... This came at EXACTLY the right time! Woo!!
That quilt in the background is gorgeous!! What's the pattern?! Do y'all have kits?! The fabric used, especially that blue is seriously stunning!!
Hi Chandra! Melissa custom made that quilt, but she has another similar design on her blog: www.polkadotchair.com/introducing-the-lets-stay-home-quilt-pattern/
In general they are Sawtooth Star & Ohio Star blocks.
What foot do you use for putting on the back?
Thank you for asking, I was wondering the same. Do you again use the piping foot? Guessing not as then there would be no need to follow the previous stitching line, right??
@@angelar1500 I just used my zipper foot for both sewing on the piping and sewing on the back it worked for me and I didn't have to buy a piping foot.
💗💗💗
Sew fun!❤️
You can make your own piping, by purchasing cording by the yard and using your own fabric. I created my own piping on a baby quilt for a niece of mine years ago.
Sorry this maybe a silly question but how do you follow your seam if you have the backing fabric on top of it?
Hi, You just flip it over so that the side with the seam is up. Put the side with the fabric backing facing down.
I've learned so much today
As I re-play
Because I love the way you teach
God bless you Amen 🙏
